Advanced technologies are required in future mobile wireless networks to support services with highly diverse requirements in terms of high data rate and reliability,low latency,and massive *** Learning(DL),one of the most exciting developments in machine learning and big data,has recently shown great potential in the study of wireless *** this article,we provide a literature review on the applications of DL in the physical ***,we analyze the limitations of existing signal processing techniques in terms of model accuracy,global optimality,and computational ***,we provide a brief review of classical DL ***,we discuss recent DL-based physical layer technologies,including both DL-based signal processing modules and end-to-end *** neural networks are used to replace a single or several conventional functional modules,whereas the objective of the latter is to replace the entire transceiver ***,we discuss the open issues and research directions of the DL-based physical layer in terms of model complexity,data quality,data representation,and algorithm reliability.

This work presents a dual band epsilon negative(ENG)metamaterial with a bilateral coupled split ring resonator(SRR)for use in C and X band wireless communication *** traditional split-ring resonator(SRR)has been amended with this engineered *** proposed metamaterial unit cell is realized on the 1.6 mm thick FR-4 printed media with a dimension of 10×10 *** resonating patch built with a square split outer *** interlinked inner rings are coupled vertically to the outer ring to extend its electrical length as well as to tune the resonance *** simulation is performed using CST studio suite 2019 to design and performance *** transmission coefficient(S21)of the proposed unit cell and array configuration exhibits two resonances at 6.7 and 10.5 GHz with wide bandwidth extended from 4.86 to 8.06 GHz and 10.1 to 11.2 GHz,*** permittivity is noted at frequencies between 6.76–9.5 GHz and 10.5–12 GHz,consecutively,with near-zero refractive index and *** optimal EMR value depicts the compactness of the proposed *** 1×2,2×2 and 4×4 arrays are analyzed that shows similar response compared to the unit *** results of the 2×2 array shows the close similarity of S21 response as compared to *** observed properties of the proposed unit cell ascertain its suitability for wireless communications by enhancing the gain and directivity of the antenna system.

The reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)is an emerging technology,which will hopefully bring a new revolution in wireless *** RIS technology can be deployed in an indoor/outdoor environment to dynamically manipulate the propagation *** RIS consists of a large number of independently controllable passive elements,and these elements are involved in realizing high passive beamforming *** from the conventional active phased antenna array,there is no dedicated radio-frequency(RF)chain installed at the RIS to perform complex signal processing ***,it does not incur additional noise while retransmitting the incident wave,which is substantially a unique feature from the conventional wireless communication *** advantage of its working principle,RIS has been deployed in various practical *** this tutorial,at first we will review the latest advances in RIS,including the application scenarios such as the system and channel model,the information theoretic analysis,the physical realization and design,key signal processing techniques such as precoding and channel estimation,and ***,we discuss interesting future research problems for the RIS-aided communications.

Orbital angular momentum(OAM)based radio vortex wireless communications have received much attention recently because it can significantly increase the spectrum *** uniform circular array(UCA)is a simple antenna structure for high spectrum efficiency radio vortex wireless ***-ever,the OAM based electromagnetic waves are vortically hollow and divergent,which may result in the signal ***,the divergence of corresponding OAM based electromagnetic wave increases as the order of OAM-mode ***,it is difficult to use high-order OAM-mode,because the corresponding received signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is very *** overcome the difficulty of high-order OAM modes transmission,in this paper we propose a lens antenna based electromagnetic waves converging scheme,which maintains the angular identification of multiple OAM-modes for radio vortex wireless *** further develop a bifocal lens antenna to not only converge the electromagnetic wave,but also compensate the SNR loss on traditional electromagnetic *** results show that the proposed bifocal lens can converge the OAM waves into cylinder-like beams,providing an efficient way to in-crease the spectrum efficiency of wireless communications.

In this paper, the authors present a novel mutual authentication and key agreement protocol based on the Number Theory Research Unit (NTRU) public key cryptography. The symmetric encryption, hash and “challenge-response” techniques were adopted to build their protocol. To implement the mutual authentication and session key agreement, the proposed protocol contains two stages: namely initial procedure and real execution stage. Since the lightweight NTRU public key cryptography is employed, their protocol can not only overcome the security flaws of secret-key based authentication protocols such as those used in Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), but also provide greater security and lower computational complexity in comparison with currently well-known public key based wireless authentication schemes such as Beller-Yacobi and *** protocols.

＜正＞In this paper,we investigate the effect of the error events length on the performance of TCM over wireless channels by using the generating *** numerical results have shown that the performance of TCM is dominated by the error events with the first few shortest lengths when the signal to noise ratio（SNR） is in the reasonable ranges in *** some cases,the performance of TCM is not dominated by the error events with the same length associated by the free Euclidean distance events over an AWGN ***,the performance of TCM may not be dominated by the error events having the shortest length over a Rayleigh fading *** results provide us a new way to estimate or predict the performance for a given TCM code over wireless channels.

With the increasing utilization of High-Speed Trains （HSTs）, the need for a reliable and high-bandwidth Internet access under high-speed mobility scenarios has become more demanding. In static, walking, and low mobility environments, TCP/IP （transmission control protocol/Internet protocol） can work well. However, TCP/IP cannot work well in high-speed scenarios because of reliability and handoff delay problems. This is mainly because the mobile node is required to maintain the connection to the corresponding node when it handovers to another access point node. In this paper, we propose a named data networking wireless mesh network architecture for HST wireless communication （NDN-Mesh-T）, which combines the advantages of wireless Mesh Networks （WMNs） and NDN architectures. We attempt to solve the reliability and handoff delay problems to enable high bandwidth and low latency in Internet access in HST scenarios. To further improve reliability and bandwidth utilization, we propose a Direction-Aware Forwarding （DAF） strategy to forward Interest packet along the direction of the running train. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly reduce the packet loss rate by up to 51% compared to TCP/IP network architecture. Moreover, the proposed mechanism can reduce the network load, handoff delay, and data redundancy.

The rapid evolution of wireless technologies and the growing complexity of network infrastructures necessitate a paradigm shift in how communication networks are designed,configured,and managed. Recent advancements in large language models (LLMs) have sparked interest in their potential to revolutionize wireless communication systems. However, existing studies on LLMs for wireless systems are limited to a direct application for telecom language understanding. To empower LLMs with knowledge and expertise in the wireless domain, this paper proposes wirelessLLM, a comprehensive framework for adapting and enhancing LLMs to address the unique challenges and requirements of wireless communication networks. We first identify three foundational principles that underpin wirelessLLM:knowledge alignment, knowledge fusion, and knowledge evolution. Then,we investigate the enabling technologies to build wirelessLLM, including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, tool usage, multi-modal pre-training, and domain-specific fine-tuning. Moreover, we present three case studies to demonstrate the practical applicability and benefits of wirelessLLM for solving typical problems in wireless networks. Finally, we conclude this paper by highlighting key challenges and outlining potential avenues for future research.
