An Empirical Study of Public Response to a waste-to-energy plant in China:Effects of Knowledge,Risk,Benefit and Systematic Processing

With the development of urbanization in China,tons of municipal solid waste have been produced and disposed Incineration is the best way to deal with municipal solid waste in China but this practice often is opposed and resisted by the public who live *** study systematically analyzed the risk responses of the public,in particular factors affecting the public’s resistant behavior We conducted a survey and collected 376 valid questionnaires which we used for the *** used the structural equation model and path analysis for the examination,and the results showed that risk perception was a critical factor predicting the resistant behavior of the public surrounding the wasteto-energy(WTE)*** perception had a negative,but insignificant,impact on the public’s resistant *** found a negative correlation between benefit perception and risk perception but the relationship was weakened when we added systematic processing to the path *** impact of system processing on risk perception was greater than that of benefit perception;that is,systematic processing was better in explaining the risk judgment of the public than benefit *** knowledge was a significant indicator in predicting risk perception and systematic processing and technology knowledge was a significant indicator in predicting risk perception and benefit *** processing increased the public’s risk judgment to the WTE ***,we discussed practical implications and limitations.

Hot corrosion behaviors of 921A alloy and HVAF-sprayed Fe-based amorphous coating covered with KCl-ZnCl_(2) salts

Hot corrosion behaviors of the 921A alloy and Fe-based amorphous coating induced by KCl-10% ZnCl_(2) and KCl-55% ZnCl_(2) salts at 450℃ in air for 40 h were *** show that the 921A alloy suffers more serious corrosion damage than the coating and KCl-55% ZnCl_(2) salts are more corrosive than KCl-10% ZnCl_(2) *** the two salts,an Fe_(2)O_(3) layer is formed on the 921A alloy surface,while an outer Fe-rich oxide layer and an inner Cr-rich oxide layer are formed on the surface of the ***,a certain amount of metal chloride can be found at the oxide/alloy(coating)interface,which can be explained by "active oxidation".However,the corrosion resistance of the Fe-based amorphous coating did not achieve the desired results,probably because the intersplats in the coating serve as corrosion diffusing channels,which facilitate the corrosion damage ***,the coating is still in amorphous state after hot corrosion exposure.

“邻避主义”的特征及影响因素研究

“邻避主义”伴随着城市经济社会的发展与转型出现，近几年在国内受到广泛关注。本文基于空间距离和居民社会经济特征相结合的分析视角，以社区居民对广州番禺垃圾焚烧发电厂选址的抵制为例，探究中国语境下“邻避主义”的特征及其影响因素。研究发现：1)社区居民在媒体大众面前的态度由“不要在我家后院”向“不要在任何人后院”转变，但其本质是邻避主义；2)在城市空间尺度和性质相似的社区空间尺度上，居民邻避态度符合“接近性假说”；但相邻地理区位上不同性质社区居民的邻避态度存在明显差异；3)距离对居民邻避态度产生基础性影响，在此基础上，微观的居民社会经济特征与宏观的社会经济政治相互作用，对居民的态度进行复杂的重构，决定居民最终的邻避态度。研究对丰富不同社会条件下的邻避主义诠释有重要的学术价值，也有助于寻求这类地方抗争的合理解决方案。
