We establish the uniqueness and local existence of weak solutions for a system of partial differential equations which describes non-linear motions of viscous stratified fluid in a homogeneous gravity field. Due to the presence of the stratification equation for the density, the model and the problem are new and thus different from the classical Navier-Stokes equations.

A numerical study of the parameters controlling the viscous penalty method is investigated to better set up Particle-Resolved Direct Numerical Simulations (PR-DNS) of particulate flows. Based on this analysis, improvements of the methods are proposed in order to reach an almost second order convergence in space. The viscous penalty method is validated in Stokes regime by simulating a uniform flow past a fixed isolated cylinder. Moreover, it is also utilized in moderate Reynolds number regime for a uniform flow past a square configuration of cylinder and compared in terms of friction factor to the well-known Ergun correlation.

In existence of concerning magnetic field, heat together with mass transfer features on mixed convective copper-water nanofluid flow through inclined plate is investigated in surrounding porous medium together with viscous dissipation. A proper set of useful similarity transforms is considered as to transform the desired governing equations into a system as ordinary differential equations which are nonlinear. The transformed equations for nanofluid flow include interrelated boundary conditions which are resolved numerically applying Runge-Kutta integration process of sixth-order together with Nachtsheim and Swigert technique. The numerical consequences are compared together with literature which was published previously and acceptable comparisons are found. The influence of significant parameters like as magnetic parameter, angle for inclination, Eckert number, fluid suction parameter, nanoparticles volume fraction, Schmidt number and permeability parameter on concerning velocity, temperature along with concentration boundary layers remains examined and calculated. Numerical consequences are presented graphically. Moreover, the impact regarding these physical parameters for engineering significance in expressions of local skin friction coefficient in addition to local Nusselt together with Sherwood numbers is correspondingly examined.

This paper considers conservation and balance laws and the constitutive theories for non-classical viscous fluent continua without memory, in which internal rotation rates due to the velocity gradient tensor are incorporated in the thermodynamic framework. The constitutive theories for the deviatoric part of the symmetric Cauchy stress tensor and the Cauchy moment tensor are derived based on integrity. The constitutive theories for the Cauchy moment tensor are considered when the balance of moments of moments 1) is not a balance law and 2) is a balance law. The constitutive theory for heat vector based on integrity is also considered. Restrictions on the material coefficients in the constitutive theories for the stress tensor, moment tensor, and heat vector are established using the conditions resulting from the entropy inequality, keeping in mind that the constitutive theories derived here based on integrity are in fact nonlinear constitutive theories. It is shown that in the case of the simplest linear constitutive theory for stress tensor used predominantly for compressible viscous fluids, Stokes' hypothesis or Stokes'?assumption has no thermodynamic basis, hence may be viewed incorrect. Thermodynamically consistent derivations of the restrictions on various material coefficients are presented for non-classical as well as classical theories that are applicable to nonlinear constitutive theories, which are inevitable if the constitutive theories are derived based on integrity.

Kantowski-Sachs plane symmetric models are investigated in bimetric theory of gravitation proposed by Rosen [1] 08D0C9EA79F9BACE118C8200AA004BA90B02000000080000000E0000005F005200650066003400310035003100330038003900340034000000 in the context of bulk viscous fluid. Taking conservation law and the equation of state, two different models of the universe are obtained. It is observed that Kantowski-Sachs vacuum model obtained in first case and bulk viscous fluid model obtained in second case. It is also observed that the bulk viscous cosmological model always represents an accelerated universe and consistent with the recent observations of type-1a supernovae. Some physical and geometrical features of the viscous fluid model are studied.

The stability of an isothermal thin disk with three-dimensionalmagnetic fields and radial viscosity force is examined in this paper. We findthat the radial viscous force has no influence on stability of viscous modes. Butthere are more influence on the stability of magneto-acoustic modes, which isrelated to the perturbation wavelenth and different parts of disc .Finally, weuse our model to explain the long term variability of Quasar 3C345.

This work deals with the boundary layer flow and heat transfer of an electrically conducting viscous fluid over a stretching sheet. Lie-group method is applied for determining the symmetry reductions for the governing equations by reducing the number of independent variables in the given system of partial differential equations by one, leading to a system of non-linear ordinary differential equation. The resulting system is then solved numerically using shooting method coupled with Runge-Kutta scheme. Effects of various values of physical parameters on the horizontal and vertical velocities, temperature profiles, wall heat transfer and the wall shear stress (skin friction), have been studied and the results are plotted. Furthermore, a comparison between the present results with existing numerical and homotopy methods has been reported and we found that they are in a good agreement.

Analytical solutions of temperature distributions and the Nusselt numbers in forced convection are reported for flow through infinitely long parallel plates, where the upper plate moves in the flow direction with constant velocity and the lower plate is kept stationary. The flow is assumed to be laminar, both hydro-dynamically and thermally fully developed, taking into account the effect of viscous dissipation of the flowing fluid. Both the plates being kept at specified and at different constant heat fluxes are considered as thermal boundary conditions. The solutions obtained from energy equation are in terms of Brinkman number, dimensionless velocity and heat flux ratio. These parameters greatly influence and give complete understanding on heat transfer rates that has potentials for designing and analyzing energy equipment and processes.
