Background:The Coronavirus 2019 disease(COVID-19)brought many healthcare systems around the world to the point of collapse all the while putting the lives of healthcare workers at *** study forgoes an institutional look at healthcare to center individual healthcare personnel in Malawi to better understand(1)how the worldviews of healthcare workers impact their work in the context of COVID-19,(2)how COVID-19 impacted healthcare workers,and(3)the unique conditions faced by being a healthcare worker in a low-income ***:This research uses a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to qualitative methodology involving in-depth interviews(n=15)with health-care workers,traditional healers,and hospital *** data collected were inductively coded and analyzed using the framework method,producing rich descriptions on how COVID-19 impacted the lifeworlds of healthcare workers in ***:The findings reveal many of the struggles healthcare workers faced due to misaligned government policy and perceived proximity to COVID-19;outline their needs such as wanting better resources,funds,wages,and public health communication;and,exemplify the significant role that personal biases,worldviews,and sense of fear played in how healthcare workers perceived and interacted with ***:Much of what was said echoes beyond borders,reflecting common global sentiments felt by healthcare personnel,and offers directions to explore building policies,strategies,and plans in preparation for any future disease outbreaks.

In the Post-Independence era,the prolific playwrights of India started using the aesthetic form of theater to contest authoritarian structures,and to voice their antiestablishment *** Dutt,a pioneering figure in Modern Indian Theater,used the medium of drama for propaganda and political conscientization of the *** indefatigable thespian contributed significantly towards the formation of modern Bengali theater,as his plays voiced his intransigent protest against the authoritarian government and concurrently,showed his impressive experimentation with different dramatic techniques,theatrical devices and theatrical ***'s anti-establishment play,Nightmare City presents a fastidious account of the turbulent years of late-1960s and early-1970s Bengal gripped by Naxalite violence and police *** against the backdrop of Naxalite insurgency,the play savagely exposes the ideological hypocrisy of the autocratic government leaders of the time and their violent ***,the playwright,in sync with his earlier plays,has not only portrayed the tumultuous sociopolitical ambiance of the 70s Calcutta,but has also constructed a soul-shattering voice of resistance to the political oppressions perpetuated by the state *** objective of this paper is to study the revolutionary propaganda of Dutt and redefine his concept of"political theater"with special reference to his intricately structured political satire,Nightmare City.

To scrutinize the epidemiological characteristics of assaultive injuries in Sichuan province, China. Methods： A survey of all cases of assaultive injuries reported by police was performed during 8 years in eight counties of Sichuan province, China. A total of 2862 victims and 2856 offenders were registered. Results： The majority of victims and offenders were young men at the age of 20-39 and only received an education at secondary school or primary school. The largest fraction of these cases took place at farm or by-place during 10.00-11.00 o＇clock, 16.00-17.00 o＇clock and 20.00-21.00 o＇clock. The tangles caused by trifles were the most common factors inducing assaultive injuries and accounted for 42.1 percent of the causes of assaults. Blunt injuries were mainly caused by punching （40%） and kicking （17. 2%）. About 37.3% of the lesions seriously happened in the regions of face and head. Open wounds accounted for 40.3 % of these different injuries. Conclusions： It is valuable to take some specific measures to prevent and control assaultive injuries according to their territorial characteristics.

Research has indicated that child maltreatment is associated with an increased likelihood of mental disorders and suicidal ideation and attempts that continues into adulthood. The purpose of this paper is to provide a synopsis of the recent published research from 2006 to 2010 on the association between child maltreatment and Axis I mental disorders and suicidal ideation and attempts. The databases MEDLINE and PsycINFO were searched for relevant and high quality citations up to October 2010. The results indicated that all types of child maltreatment examined are linked to reduced mental health. A general noted trend in the literature is that earlier age of onset of child maltreatment is associated with poorer mental health outcomes. Sex differences do exist with some disorders being more likely among males (e.g., anti-social behaviour) and other more likely among females (e.g., depression, PTSD, substance use disorders) following child maltreatment.

The large scale exodus of Rohingyas to Bangladesh,Indonesia,Malaysia,and Thailand as a consequence of relentless persecution by the Myanmar state has gained worldwide *** Secretary General,Guterres called it“ethnic cleansing”and the“humanitarian situation as catastrophic”.This catastrophic situation can be traced back to the systemic and structural violence perpetrated by the state and the society wherein the Burmans and Buddhism are taken as the central rallying force of the narrative of the *** paper tries to analyze the Rohingya discourse situating it in the theoretical precepts of securitization,structural violence,and ethnic *** historical antecedents and particular circumstances and happenings were construed selectively and systematically to highlight the ethnic,racial,cultural,and linguistic identity of Rohingyas to exclude them from the“national imagination”of the *** culture of pervasive prejudice prevailing in Myanmar finds manifestation in the legal provisions whereby certain peripheral minorities including Rohingyas have been denied basic civil and political *** legal-juridical disjunction to seal the historical ethnic divide has institutionalized and structuralized the inherent prejudice leveraging the religious-cultural *** newly instated democratic form of government,by its very virtue of the call of the majority,has also been contributed to reinforce this *** armed attacks by ARSA has provided the tangible spur to the already nuanced systemic violence in Myanmar and the Rohingyas are caught in a vicious cycle of politicization of ethnic identity,structural violence,and securitization.

Juvenile Delinquency and Psychopathic Behavior: About a Case in Abidjan

Violent and murderous juvenile delinquency born of the phenomenon of young people organized in gangs commonly called “microbes”, has become a real security problem for Ivorian society. It is in this context that this study has set itself the main objective of depicting the psychopathic behavior of a young “microbe” delinquent who has committed several violent crimes. It was a monographic study of the correlational-explanatory type that mobilized observation and semi-directive interviews for the production of data. The method of phenomenological analysis permits to detect traits of psychopathy in a 21-year-old youth through family history and accounts of criminal acts committed. The results of the study showed, on the one hand, a family dysfunction that gave the bed of behaviors such as the lack of empathy, the absence of remorse and the superficiality of the affects, thus translating a deficit on the level of the affective dimension. We also noted the presence of antisocial behavior such as living on the streets or in smoking rooms consuming and selling drugs. There were further implications such as theft, physical aggression and intentional homicide. According to the psychopathy literature, emotional insensitivity juxtaposed with behavior disorder was a primary combination of characteristics that help identify adolescents who exhibit psychopathic traits. Faced with this reality, this study pleads for the establishment of a special aid program to better control the deadly violence of these people.

Experiences and Countermeasures of a Perinatal Ward Nursing Manager Dealing with Family Members’ Problematic Behaviors

Background: When family members and/or patients behave in a problematic way, this hinders the provision of safe and secure medical care. During the perinatal period, a family’s relationships and functions change significantly, and each family member is prone to experiencing stress. As such, conflict arises easily between family members and medical staff. Aims: Therefore, we conducted this study to shed light on the following phenomena: 1) family members’ problematic behaviors;2) the concerns of a perinatal ward nurse manager (hereafter referred to as the manager) and ward nurses;and 3) countermeasures carried out by the manager, together with the ward nurses, based on the manager’s experiences. Methods: We conducted an 80-minute, semi-structured interview with the manager, following which we analyzed the content of her narrated accounts. Results: According to the findings, 1) family members’ problematic actions include verbal abuse;arrogance, unreasonableness, and selfish behaviors;and violent conduct;2) the manager’s and ward nurses’ fears and worries about family members’ problematic behaviors;responses to gradually becoming involved with family members;and resistance to staying involved with family members following patient discharge. In addition, we examined 3) countermeasures carried out by the manager together with the ward nurses: resolute and consistent responses to family members’ problematic behaviors;attempted enforcement measures taken to deal with family members who exhibit problematic behaviors;engagement while trying to avoid conflict with family members;preparation that anticipates the occurrence of problematic conduct;cooperation with the medical team;cooperation with the hospital organization;cooperation with social resources outside the hospital;and patient protection.
