Hydrogen Sul.ide May Function Downstream of Nitric Oxide in Ethyl.ne-Induced Stomatal.Cl.sure in vicia faba l.

Pharmacol.gical. l.ser scanning confocal.microscopic （l.CM）, and spectrophotographic approaches were used to study the rol.s of hydrogen sul.ide （H2S） and nitric oxide （NO） in signal.ng transduction of stomatal.movement in response to ethyl.ne in viciafaba l. Ethyl.ne treatment resul.ed in the dose-dependent stomatal.cl.sure under l.ght, and this effect was bl.cked by the inhibitors of H2S biosynthesis in V. faba l. Additional.y, ethyl.ne induces H2S generation and increases l./D-cysteine desul.hydrase （pyridoxal.hosphate-dependent enzyme） activity in l.aves of V. faba l. Inhibitors of H2S biosynthesis have no effect on the ethyl.ne-induced stomatal.cl.sure, NO accumul.tion, and nitrate reductase （NR） activity in guard cel.s or l.aves of II. faba l. Moreover, the ethyl.ne-induced increase of H2S l.vel. and l./D- cysteine desul.hydrase activity decl.ned when NO generation was inhibited. Therefore, we concl.de that H2S and NO probabl. are invol.ed in the signal.transduction pathway of ethyl.ne-induced stomatal.cl.sure. H2S may represent a novel.component downstream of NO in the ethyl.ne-induced stomatal.movement in V. faba l.

Correl.tion Anal.sis and Principal.Component Anal.sis of Eight Agronomic Traits of Autumn Broad Beans (vicia faba l.)

[Objectives] This study was conducted to give pl.y to the yiel.-increasing potential.of new broad bean varieties. [Methods] The correl.tion anal.sis and principal.component anal.sis of eight main agronomic traits of 15 autumn-sown broad bean varieties in 2017-2018 were carried out. [Resul.s] There were extremel. compl.cated correl.tions between the agronomic traits. Among the various agronomic traits, the number of pods per pl.nt showed a significant negative correl.tion from the number of seeds per pod(Pl.tions with pod l.ngth and 100-grain weight(Pl. positivel. correl.ted with pod l.ngth(Pl. positivel. correl.ted with the pod l.ngth(Pl. negativel. correl.ted with the number of pods per pl.nt(Pl.components were establ.shed by principal.component anal.sis, and the contribution rate of the first principal.component was the highest, which was 40.18%. The contribution rates of the second principal.component and the third principal.component to the total.variance were 24.08% and 13.55%, respectivel.. The score equations of the principal.components were derived. [Concl.sions] This study provides a theoretical.reference for the appl.cation and promotion of new varieties of autumn broad beans.
