CH zinc finger(CZF) proteins are a major class of transcription *** play crucial roles in fungal growth,development,various stress responses,and full ***,there is a dearth of genomic-wide understanding of the role of CZF proteins in Vertkillium dahliae,which is a destructive plant pathogen that causes vascular wilt ***,CZF genes were systematically identified in verticillium dahliae and a total of 79 typical CZF genes were *** analysis of predicted CZF genes in four plant pathogenic fungi,Vertkillium dahliae,Fusarium oxysporum,Magnaporthe oryzae,and Botrytis cinerea revealed them to be comparable in number and *** analysis indicated that few CZF genes exhibited significant homology in *** while a C H-homeobox subfamily containing seven genes was *** addition,this subfamily contained more genes in *** and ***(Hypocreomycetidae) than in ***(Sordariomycetidae) and ***.(Leotiomycete).Furthermore,analysis of gene transcripts using digital gene expression profiling and RT-qPCR of the smoke tree wilt fungus *** XS11 showed most CZF genes to be differentially expressed during microsclerotia formation,nutritional starving and simulated in planta *** profiles showed that some CZF genes were overrepresented during multiple stages,indicating that they might have multiple *** results presented in this work provide information concerning CZF genes during microsclerotia formation,nutritional stress responses,and pathogenicity in ***,and form the foundation for future functional studies of these genes.

verticillium wilt of sunflower（Helianthus annuus L.） is a widespread and destructive disease caused by the soil-borne fungal pathogen verticillium dahliae（***）.For the pathogen is seedborne and transmission through seed,that is a major concern for the long-distance disease transmission and caused the quick spreading of Sunflower verticillium ***,knowledge on the contamination of the seeds by *** is critical for understanding the infection cycle and also to develop the ways to control the spreading of this *** this study,sunflower seedlings were inoculated with conidial suspensions of GFP tagged *** was studied with the confocal *** 12 to 96 hour post-inoculation（hpi）,conidia germinated and formed hyphal colonies on the root tips and in the root elongation *** colonized cortical tissues and vascular elements after 2 weeks inoculation（2wpi）.10 wpi later,the xylem of the upper stem,sunflower disc,and sunflower seed parts,including the pericarp and seed coat,had been colonized by the ***,pathogen DNA could be detected by RT-PCR in the pericarp and seed *** experiment that detecting the transmission rate of seeds from different sunflower cultivars were conducted with PCR,our result indicated that the transmission rate of sunflower seeds ranged from 10-25%among all tested *** conclusion,seed transmission is the main way for the long distance transmission of sunflower *** and seed pretreatment should be done to control the infection of sunflower seedling.
