Objective: To investigate whether the fetal gender affects the incidence of pre-eclampsia (PE) and fetal growth restriction (FGR) in singleton and twin ***: This was a 10-year single-center, retrospective, cohort study from January 2009 to January 2019. A total of 57,129 singleton and 3699 twin pregnancies aged between 18-55 years old were recruited at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, China. We used multivariable logistic regression to analyze the effect of fetal gender on the incidence of PE and ***: In singleton pregnancies, the incidence rates of PE and FGR with a female fetus were higher than those with a male fetus (6.4% (1713/26,793)vs. 5.9% (1803/30,336),P twin pregnancies, the incidence of early-onset PE was greater in pregnancies with two females compared with two males or one male plus one female (4.6% (46/1003)vs. 4.1% (54/1305)vs. 2.4% (33/1391),P twins was an independent risk factor for PE (adjusted odds ratio: 1.367, 95% confidence interval: 1.011-1.849), especially early-onset ***: The female fetus was associated with PE in both singleton and twin pregnancies and was also a risk factor of FGR in singleton pregnancies.

OBJECTIVES:Cell-free DNA(cf-DNA)based non-invasive prenatal testing(NIPT)had large-scale validation data in singleton pregnancies;however,the clinical usage of NIPT in twin pregnancies remains unclear due to insufficient supporting *** objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of NIPT in detecting fetal chromosomal aneuploidies among twin and triplet ***:From May 2013 to November 2014,a cohort of 289 women,286 twins and 3 triplet pregnancies(gestation week 19±4)were recruited for chromosomal aneuploidies testing through ***-DNA was extracted from maternal blood *** DNA library was amplified using PCR approach and sequenced by massively parallel sequencing(MPS).NIPT identified"highrisk"or"positive"individuals were advised for karyotyping;And we performed follow-up to the rest NIPT"low risk"individuals before and after their ***:Two trisomy 21 and one trisomy 13 in twin pregnancies were correctly identified through MPS and confirmed their discordant fetal karyotype(one normal and the other trisomy)by *** 286 cases(50 were monozygotic,236 were unclear)of twin/tripletpregnancies with negative NIPT results were confirmed by postnatal *** to this study,the detection rate of NIPT in twin pregnancies for trisomy 21 and trisomy 13were both 100%.The sensitivity and specificity were 100%and 100%,*** is the first report for trisomy 13 in twin pregnancies using ***:MPS-based noninvasive prenatal assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy through maternal blood had shown a satisfied performance in twin *** high detection rate and specificity toward trisomy 21 and 13,NIPT could reduce unnecessary invasive procedures for prenatal diagnosis in twin *** data is still required to fully investigate the clinical usage of NIPT in twin/triplet pregnancies.

Effect of Third Interstitial Fluid on Adverse Outcomes in Patients with Severe Pre-eclampsia and twin Pregnancy:A 5-year Single-center Retrospective Study
