Understanding the origin of ocean island basalts(OIB) has important bearings on Earth's deep *** it is widely accepted that subducted oceanic crust, as a consequence of plate tectonics, contributes material to OIB's formation, its exact fraction in OIB's mantle source remains ambiguous largely due to uncertainties associated with existing geochemical proxies. Here we show, through theoretical calculation, that unlike many known proxies, triple oxygen isotope compositions(i.e.D^(17 )O) in olivine samples are not affected by crystallization and partial melting. This unique feature, therefore, allows olivine D^(17 )O values to identify subducted oceanic crusts in OIB's mantle source. Furthermore, the fractions of subducted ocean sediments and hydrothermally altered oceanic crust in OIB's mantle source can be quantified using their characteristic D^(17 )O values. Based on published D^(17 )O data, we estimated the fraction of subducted oceanic crust to be as high as 22.3% in certain OIB, but the affected region in the respective mantle plume is likely to be limited.

To evaluate the effect of triple puncture on primary trigeminal neuralgia (pTN),64 patients with pTN were randomly assigned to two groups:treatment group and control *** participants in the treatment group received triple puncture treatment of 6 times per week for 4 weeks,and those in control group were given carbamazepine (300-600 mg per day) for at least 1 *** and after treatment,the primary outcomes including the total efficiency rate and the VAS pain scores,and the secondary outcomes including the frequency of pain attack and adverse events were ***-two participants finished the study (33 in treatment group and 29 in control group individually).After treatment,the symptoms (mainly pain) of the two groups were *** total efficiency rate in the treatment group and control group was 90.9% and 75.9% *** VAS pain scores and frequency of pain attack were significantly reduced in the treatment group as compared with the control group (Ptriple puncture can effectively improve the quality of life of patients with pTN and has less side effects.

A reversible disulfide bond-based self-healing polyurethane with triple shape memory properties was prepared by chain extending of random copolymer poly(lactide-co-caprolactone)(PCLA), hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), polytetrahydrofuran (PTMEG), and 4,4,-aminophenyl disulfide. The chemical structures were characterized using 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (^1H-NMR) spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The thermal properties, selfhealing properties, triple-shape memory effect, and quantitative shape memory response were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), tensile tests, two-step programming process thermal mechanical experiments, and subsequent progressive thermal recovery. The self-healing mechanism and procedures were investigated using polarizing optical microscopy (POM) and an optical profiler. It was concluded that self-healing properties (up to 60%) and triple-shape memory properties around 35 and 50℃(with shape fixation ratios of 94.3% and 98.3%, shape recovery ratios of 76.6% and 85.1%, respectively) were integrated to the shape memory polyurethane. As-prepared polyurethane is expected to have potential applications in multi-shape coatings, films, and step-by-step deploying structures.

[η_5-OH_3C(O)C_5H_4Cr(CO)_2]_2S 1, [η~5-CH_3O_2CC_5H_4Cr(CO)_2]_2S 2 and [η~5-C_2H_5O_2CC_5H_4Cr(CO)_2]_2S 3 were prepared by the reactions of corresponding sodium salts of functional η~5-cyclopentadienyl-tricarbonylchromium anions with SOCl_2. Reduction of 1 with NaBH_4 prdouced [η~5-CH_3CH(OH)C_5H_4Cr(CO)_2]_2S 4, while saponification of 2 followed by acidification and recrystallization from acetone afforded [η~5-HO_2CC_5H_4Cr(CO)_2]_2S·nCH_3C·(O)CH_3 5. 1—5 are a new class of Cr≡S triple bond compounds containing functional organic group on the cyclopentadienyl ring. A single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of 1 revealed that it consists of two identical organometallic fragments η~5-CH_3C(O)C_5H_4Cr(CO)_2 joined together by a sulfur atom via triple bonds. The geometry of structural unit Cr≡S≡Cr belongs to linearity and the average triple bond length of Cr≡S is 2.072(?).

An LPDTS(υ) is a collection of 3(υ - 2) disjoint pure directed triple systems on the same set of υ elements. It is showed in Tian's doctoral thesis that there exists an LPDTS(υ) for υ≡ 0,4 (mod 6), υ≥ 4. In this paper, we establish the existence of an LPDTS(υ) for υ≡ 1, 3 (mod 6), υ＞ 3. Thus the spectrum for LPDTS(υ) is completely determined to be the set {υ:υ≡0, 1 (mod 3),υ≥4}.

AIM: To assess the efficacy of moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy after non-bismuth quadruple therapy failure for Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) ***: Between January 2010 and December 2012,we screened individuals who were prescribed non-bismuth quadruple therapy for H. pylori eradication. Among them,a total of 98 patients who failed non-bismuth quadruple therapy received 1-wk or 2-wk moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy(400 mg moxifloxacin once daily,and 20 mg of rabeprazole and 1 g of amoxicillin twice daily). H. pylori status was evaluated using the 13C-urea breath test 4 wk later,after treatment completion. The eradication rates were determined by intention-to-treat and per-protocol ***: In total,60 and 38 patients received 1-wk and 2-wk moxifloxacin-containing triple therapy,respectively. The intention-to-treat and per-protocol eradication rates were 56.7%(95%CI: 45.0-70.0) and 59.6%(95%CI: 46.6-71.7) in the 1-wk group and 76.3%(95%CI: 63.2-89.5) and 80.6%(95%CI: 66.7-91.9) in the 2-wk group(P = 0.048 and 0.036,respectively). All groups had good compliance(95% vs 94.9%). Neither group showed serious adverse events,and the proportions of patients experiencing mild side effects were not significantly different(21.1% vs 13.9%). Clinical factors such as age,sex,alcohol and smoking habits,comorbidities,and presence of gastric or duodenal ulcer did not influence the eradication therapy efficacy.
