A new method for the synthesis of 4,4′,6,6′-tetra(azido)azo-1,3,5-triazine (TAAT) is described. The key intermediate 4,4′,6,6′-tetra(azido)hydrazo-1,3,5-triazine (TAHT) was synthesized by nucleophilic substitution in the case of sodium azide as nucleophile. N-Bromosuccinide (NBS) was used as oxidant to oxidize TAHT by a tractable operation under mild reaction condition. The target compound TAAT was obtained with a facile process and high overall yield of 81%. The structures of TAAT and its intermediates were identified by spectroscopic methods.

The title compounds,C9H13ClN6O2S 1 and C15H17ClN6O2S 2,were synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis,IR,1H NMR spectra and single-crystal X-ray *** 1 is in the monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a=13.7711（5）,b=10.3883（4）,c=9.7623（2）,V=1344.47（8）3,Dc=1.506 g/cm3,C9H13ClN6O2S,Mr=304.76,F（000）=632,μ=0.448 mm-1,Z=4,S=1.084,R=0.0497 and wR=0.1328 for 2640 unique reflections（Rint=0.0787） with 2089 observed ones（I2σ（I））.Compound 2 belongs to the monoclinic system,space group P21/n with a=8.3828（5）,b=14.5285（7）,c=14.2456（4）,V=1729.74（14）3,Dc=1.462 g/cm3,C15H17ClN6O2S,Mr=380.86,F（000）=792,μ=0.364 mm-1,Z=4,S=1.057,R=0.0598 and wR=0.1582 for 3384 unique reflections（Rint=0.0469） with 2833 observed ones（I2σ（I））.Compounds 1 and 2 are homologues and stabilized by intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen ***,compound 2 containing C（2）–H（2）…π（thiazole） interaction is more stable than 1.

Three two-photon absorption （TPA） tribranched chromophores were successfully prepared, in which 1,3,5-triazine is been as electron deficient core, 1,4-phenylenedivinylene as conjugated bridge, 3,4-ethylenedioxy- thiophene （EDOT）（T1）, N-methylpyrrole （T2） or triphenylamine （T3） as electron-donating end-groups. Their pho- tophysical properties were studied by absorption, one- and two-photon fluorescence and TPA cross-section deter- mination. The nonlinear transmission （NLT） measurement in femtoseconds （fs） regime at 800 nm indicates that TPA cross-section σ2 values of T1, T2 and T3 with extended π-conjugated bridge are much larger than the corresponding chromophore T4 with a short length bridge, and TPA cross-section of T1 with end-groups EDOT exhibits a remarkable enhancement compared with T2 and T3 having the same length It-system. The chromophores T1, T2 and T3 show also remarkable up-converted luminescence and optical limiting activity.

As two pivotal functional segments,triazine and porphyrin can be coupled to form a highly cross-linked conjugated *** the obtained conjugated polymers are almost insoluble in most solvents,a small amount of protonic acid can cause the formation of a colloidal solution of *** dissolution process has proved to be a surface charge effect induced by protonation of porphyrin units in the polymer ***-quality conjugated polymer films have been prepared on diverse substrates by solution drop-casting and then used for thermoelectric(TE)*** films exhibit remarkable TE performance with high Seebeck coefficients(−6650μV K^(−1))and electronic conductivities(0.042 S cm^(−1)),yielding a power factor of 185μW m^(−1) K^(−2),which,collectively,are the highest among all reported n-type organic TE *** work may pave the way for the design and development of solution-processed,cross-linked polymer films as promising TE materials.

The title compound was synthesized by a new method and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. C16H11N3S, Mr = 277. 34, triclinic system, space group P1, cell parameters: a = 10. 410(4), b = 17. 953(5), c = 7. 468(3)(?), α=101. 47(3)°,β=110. 85(3)°, γ = 81. 53(3)°, V = 1273.8(8) (?)3, Z = 4 and Dc=1. 45gcm-3. Refinements of full-matrix least-squares converged at R = 0. 053 and Kw = 0.065 for 2794 observed reflections. There are two independent molecules in an asymmetric unit. All non-hydrogen atoms of phenanthro[9,10-e]-1,2,4-triazine make up a 18 18 large conjugated plane.

Synthesis of 5-substituted-3-methylmercapto-6-methyl-1,2,4-triazines （Ⅰ） was attempted in order to study their physiological activities against tumour cells. These kinds of compounds were usually prepared from the corresponding hydroxy compounds through the chloro-derivatives by nucleophilic substitution. Attempts to chlorinate 3-methylmercapto-5-hydroxy-6-methyl-1,2,4-triazine （Ⅱ, 3-methylmercapto-5-oxo-6-methyl-2,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine, 3-methylmercapto-5-oxo-6-methyl-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine） with phosphorus chloride under various conditions were unsuccessful.

Tirazine based microporous polymeric (TMP) network was found to be an efficient metal-free catalyst for the epoxidation of styrene. The reactions were performed in water as an environmentally benign medium using H2O2 as a green oxidant at ambient temperature. The reaction afforded higher yield with 90% conversion of styrene and 98% selectivity to styrene oxide in 6 h. The triazine based microporous polymeric network can be readily recovered and reused up to 4 cycles without significant loss in catalytic activity and selectivity.
