A highly efficient coupling reaction of N-heterocyclic carbene precursors with sulfonyl azides has been developed, affording a variety of pyrido[1,2-c][1,2,4]triazole-based π-conjugated triazenes. The present reaction proceeds under very mild conditions with good functional group tolerance. The resulting triazenes exhibit selective and sensitive fluorescent response toward Fe3+ion.

Abstract: A new triazene reagent 1-(2-benzothiazolyl)-3-(4-phenylazoghecyl )-triazece (BTPAPT) has been *** clour reaction of STPAPT with Cd (Ⅱ) has been studied. At pH=9～11,in the presence of Triton X-100,the reagent with Cd (Ⅱ) forms a complex with high sensitivity, the molar ratio of Cd (Ⅱ) to BTPAPT is 1: 2. The molar absarptlvity is 1. 4 × 10-5 L. mol-1. cm-1. Beer's law is obeyed for Cd (Ⅱ) in the range of 0-14 μg/25ml.

Lewis base catalyzed ring-expansion of isatin with 2,2,2-trifluorodiazoethane(CF3CHN2):An efficient route to3-hydroxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)quinolinones

Isomerism is very important in chemistry. Over the past 65 years, the energy-rich N3R3 family has received considerable attention both experimentally and computationally due to their rich applications in various fields such as synthesis, polymer chemistry and *** to now, four isomeric types of NR have been identified, i.e.,triazenes I, triimides II, iso-triazenes III, and cyclo-triazanes IV. In this work, via the composite CBS-QB3 study on the isomers and transition states of NH—the simplest NR system, we unexpectedly found a new structural type V, which contains a N three-membered ring, one nitrogen-nitrogen dative bond in the ring(i.e., cyclic ammonia-nitrene interaction), and the varied coordination number of three nitrogen atoms(two, three and four, respectively). Of all the NH isomers, V lies the highest in energy(78.7 kcal/mol above the global triazene) and possesses a relatively low conversion barrier 8.9 kcal/mol. Yet quite promisingly,suitably choosing substituents can tune the rate-determining barrier of V to reach around 20 kcal/mol. Thus, synthesis of the newly found triazene isomer V is highly probable.
