Prostate cancer is now becoming an emerging health priority in East Asia. Most of our current knowledge on Prostate cancer has been generated from studies conducted in Western population; however, there is considerable heterogeneity of Prostate cancer between East and West. In this article, we reviewed epidemiologic trends, risk factors, disease characteristics and management of Prostate cancer in East Asian population over the last decade. Growing evidence from East Asia suggests an important role of genetic and environmental risk factors interactions in the carcinogenesis of Pr0s^te cancer. Exposure to westernized diet and life style and improvement in health care in combination contribute substantially to the increasing epidemic in this region. Diagnostic and treatment guidelines in East Asia are largely based on Western knowledge. Although there is a remarkable improvementin the outcome over the last decade, ample evidence suggests an inneglectable difference in diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficacy and adverse events between different populations. The knowledge from western countries should be calibrated in the Asian setting to provide a better race-based treatment approach. In this review, we intend to reveal the evolving trend of Prostate cancer in the last decade, in order to gain evidence to improve Prostate cancer prevention and control in East Asia.

Background:Currently there is no guideline based on preoperative clinical parameters for assessing the prognosis of the adjunctive surgery for drug-resistant ***:We retrospectively analyzed 138 patients who have undergone surgical resection as a treatment for drug-resistant tuberculosis after 24 *** clinical parameters on lesion type,treatment history,body physiological status,and surgery approach were *** preoperative clinical parameters were analyzed by ordinal logistic regression model when considering postoperative complications as outcomes ordered in terms of *** significant parameters were then combined in a single classification system for predicting the outcomes of the adjunctive ***:Diffused,progressive bilateral lesions,or active/progressive extra pulmonary tuberculosis(L3),history of less than 2 months treatment before surgery(T3) were the strongest predicative parameters for postoperative complications and for surgery *** system based on the four parameters were found to have a statistically significant effect on postoperative complications and postoperative efficacy.24-month follow up indicated high cure rate(above 95.5%) among patients without T3,L3,or severe physiological complications(B3).Interpretation:A classification system based on objective clinical parameters showed predicative value for the prognosis of the adjunctive surgery and could guide management of drug-resistant Tuberculosis.

目的评价肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核的疗效。方法计算机检索PubMed,Embase、the Cochrane Library,检索日期截止至2010年6月。检索关键词为:tuberculosis、pulmonary resection、pneumonectomy、surgery、surgical treatment、lung resection、drug-resistant、multi-drug resistant、MDR、multiple drug-resistant。纳入文献为肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核的试验。结果共纳入15个临床研究。结果 :肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核成功率、失败率、复发率、死亡率和失访率分别为84%(95%Cl,78%-89%)、6%(95%Cl,4%-8%)、3%(95%Cl,1%-4%)、5%(95%Cl,2%-8%)和3%(95%Cl,1%-5%).结论肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核疗效尚可,可以作为耐多药肺结核联合治疗方案之一。

目的耐多药肺结核（MDR-TB）目前已成为一个新的公共健康危机。研究表明肺切除在治疗耐多药肺结核方面具有一定疗效。本研究目的是通过系统回顾和META分析综合分析所有有关肺切除治疗耐多药肺结核的文献,评价肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核的疗效。方法检索PubMed,Embase、the Cochrane Library等文献库,检索日期截止至2010年6月。检索关键词为:结核（tuberculosis）、肺部手术（pneumonectomy、lung resection）、手术（surgery、surgical treatment）、多药耐药（drug-resistant、multi-drug resistant、multi-drug resistant、MDR、multiple drug-resistant）。纳入文献为肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核试验。对肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核的整体治疗结果进行了荟萃分析。结果共纳入15个临床研究,其中12个临床研究是肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核,3个临床研究是肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核或广泛耐药肺结核。分析结果显示:肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核治愈率、失败率、复发率、死亡率和失访率分别为84%（9 5%的置信区间CI,78%～89%）、6%（95%的置信区间CI,4%～8%）、3%（9 5%的置信区间CI,1%～4%）、5%（95%的置信区间CI,2%～8%）和3%（95%的置信区间CI,1%～5%）。12个肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核的临床研究中,治愈率为8 3%（95%的置信区间CI77%～89%）,而在3个肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核或广泛耐药肺结核的研究中临床研究治愈率高于前12个临床研究为89%（9 5%的置信区间CI86%～92%）,但无显著性差异。我们进一步分析了患者的疾病特征、临床特征等对肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核治愈率的影响。分析结果表明:HIV感染、耐药状况、文献治愈定义、国家收入状况、地理区域及肺切除类型对治愈率无显著性差异。结论肺部手术治疗耐多药肺结核疗效尚可,可以作为耐多药肺结核联合治疗方案之一。

Survival of dental implants in patients with bone dysplasia:A systematic review

Objective:This study used published studies to assess the survival rate of dental implants placed in patients with bone dysplasia of the maxillofacial *** and methods:An electronic search without a specified date range was performed using the MEDLINE,PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,and Cochrane *** gender or age restrictions were ***:Eighteen publications were found that met the study’s criteria,reporting data on 18 patients with bone dysplasia including cleidocranial dysplasia(CDD),fibrous dysplasia(FD),florid cemento-osseous dysplasia(FCOD),and odonto-maxillary segmental dysplasia(SOMD),who received a total of 130 implants,an average of 7.2 implants/patient(range 1 to 16).The mean age of the patients was 36.7 years(range 15 to 70 years).For implants placed in bone dysplasia,the survival rates were 100% for patients with CDD(n=8),FD(n=5),SOMD(n=2),FCOD with implants inserted far from the lesions(n=2)and 0% for dental implants inserted within FCOD(n=1).The mean follow-up was 38.2 months(min 6,max 60).Conclusions:Dental implants placed in patients with dysplastic bone lesions show high survival rates,similar to those in the general population for CDD,FD,and *** FCOD,the failure rate was 100%.
