chinese herbs have been used as dietary supplements to improve exercise ***,evidence-based studies for the use of chinese herbs in sports remain *** chinese therapy(TCT),a form of traditional chinese non-pharmacological intervention,has remained in use for thousands of years in sports *** is beneficial for sports injuries and in enhancing skill development,and is becoming increasingly popular among athletes,fitness enthusiasts,and individuals who regularly *** therapeutic effects of TCT have been demonstrated by clinical and experimental studies,but using these modalities still is associate with potentially adverse *** well-designed studies are necessary to confirm the efficacy of TCT in sports *** review aims to summarize the application of TCT,discuss the issues surrounding TCT clinical research,and provide suggestions for applying traditional chinese methods in the field of sports medicine.

Various resources of the so-called traditional chinese medicine, such as taijiquan, massage, diets, or acupuncture, have become widely available in the everyday therapeutic culture of contemporary Argentina. While these resources can be found in the first half of the 20th century, it is evident that from the 1960s onward their presence is more evident, with a strong emphasis from the 1980s on. This article aims to describe the reception and popularization of body and therapeutic techniques of traditional chinese medicine in Argentina in the 1980s through the case of Daniel Alegre, a key figure in the dissemination of chinese therapeutic techniques. To do so, it focuses on certain key mediators in the popularization of techniques such as taijiquan and chinese massage: teachers, promoters, and specialized magazines. All these mediators are key artifacts in the processes of massification and dissemination of traditional chinese medicine in a broader emerging horizon associated with two simultaneous processes, the chinese cultural transnationalization and the boom of new forms of holistic management of personal well-being.

Eye-acupuncture as adjuvant therapy for stroke:A bibliometric analysis of clinical studies

Background:Eye-acupuncture(EA)is a fine-needle acupuncture therapy for systemic *** bibliometric analysis aims to provide a comprehensive review of the characteristics of EA for ischemic or hemorrhagic apoplexy based on clinical ***:A total of 195 clinical studies from six databases such as CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data,SinoMed,PubMed and the Cochrane Library from inception to December 31,2017 were *** information mainly including study type,participant characteristics,intervention and comparison details,and outcomes were *** was analyzed descriptively using SPSSsoftware to determine their distribution(range,interquartile range)and central tendency(median).Results:The studies covered 108 RCTs,36 controlled clinical trials,45 case series and 6 case reports on EA for treatment of ischemic or hemorrhagic apoplexy,involved 15466 stroke *** was used at different stages of ischemic or hemorrhagic apoplexy:acute stage(n Z 38),recovery(n Z 32),sequela(n Z 13)and unclear(n Z 112).The most frequently used EA acupoints were in the upper-jiao and lower-jiao *** commonly used comparisons were EA alone versus traditional acupuncture,or EA plus traditional acupuncture versus traditional *** deficit scale,Modified Barthel Index,and activities of daily living were the most frequently used outcome ***:EA as an adjuvant therapy is effective and safe in treating stroke at acute and recovery stages,but high-quality RCTs are lacking.
