Alkaloid and Isoflavonoid Constituents of thermopsis licentiana

From the whole plant of thermopsis licentiana(Leguminoseae) , one new compound, 13-β-hydroxylthermopsine, along with eight known compounds, N-methylcytisine, ther-mopsine, daidzein , trifolirhizin , daidzin , genistin, daidzein-4',7-diglucoside and genistein-4', 7-diglucoside were isolated and identified on the basis of chemical and spectral data.

Studies on Chemical Constituents of thermopsis licentiana(I)——The Structure of A New Alkaloid

The thermopsis genus（Leguminoseae） is comprised of many species, some of which can be used as folk medicine for the treatment of rabies in China. Thermnopsis licentiana is one of the species and has not been studied yet. The present paper reports the separation and identification of a new quinolizidine alkaloid（crystal A;see Fig. 1）.
