The influences of superheat and cooling intensity on macrostructure and macrosegregation of one new kind duplex stainless steel(DSS)were *** simulation equipment was applied to prepare samples,which could reproduce the industrial processes of DSS manufactured by a vertical continuous slab *** and macrosegregation were analyzed using the digital single lens reflex and laser-induced breakdown spectroscope(LIBSOPA-200),*** percentage of both chill zone and center equiaxed zone increases with the superheat decreasing,while that of the columnar zone *** is only equiaxed grain existing as the superheat is 10 and 20℃.The lower the superheat is,the coarser the gain size *** cooling intensity in mold could remarkably decrease the chill zone length and refine the grains in chill zone and center equiaxed *** influences of cooling intensity on macrosegregation are greater than those of *** macrosegregation of Si,Mn and Cr is slightly dependent on superheat,while that of Cu,Mo and Ni changes greatly with superheat increasing.

The relationship between the t8/5 and micro-hardness, impact toughness in the heat affected zone （HAZ） of ASME SA213-792 at peak temperature of 1 350 ℃ was studied by thermal simulation. The result shows that the micro-hardness of HAZ rises at the beginning and then decreases with increasing of t8/5 , whereas the impact toughness presents reverse trend. The distribution of precipitates in substrate has great influence on the impact toughness of HAZ. When the t8/5 is 40 s, chain-like precipitates lower the impact toughness of HAZ seriously.

This work presents an algorithm for simulating more accurate temperature distribution in two-phase liquid cooling for three-dimensional integrated circuits than the state of-the-art methods by utilizing local multi-linear interpolation techniques on heat transfer coefficients between the microchannel and silicon substrate, and considering the interdependence between the thermal conductivity of silicon and temperature values. The experimental results show that the maximum and average errors are only 9.7% and 6.7% compared with the measurements, respectively.

A new reliable thermal simulation system for studying solidification of heavy section ductile iron has been developed using computer feedback control and artificial intelligent methods. Results of idle test indicate that the temperature in the system responses exactly to the inputted control data and the temperature control error is less than ±0.5%. It is convenient to simulate solidification of heavy section ductile iron using this new system. Results of thermal simulation experiments show that the differences in nodularity and number of graphite nodule per unit area in the thermal simulation specimen and the actual heavy section block is less than 5% and 10%, respectively.

With establishment of thermal and numerical simulation models,the influence of reduction amount on solidification structure,segregation and shrinkage porosity of continuous casting(CC)billets was *** thermal–mechanical coupled simulation results indicated that with an increase in reduction amount,the temperature in the central area decreases,and the reduction efficiency firstly increases and then decreases,reaching the maximum value at reduction amount of 6 *** analysis showed that increasing the reduction amount is beneficial for the refinement of central solidification ***,the internal cracks are more likely to appear at higher reduction *** X-ray computerized tomography results revealed that a higher reduction amount can significantly reduce the volume fraction and equivalent diameter of the central shrinkage porosities of CC billets and increase the sphericity of ***,the macrosegregation of carbon along the central line is improved as the reduction amount increases;while the reduction amount exceeds 8 mm,the segregation degree will not change any more.

In the process of electric vehicle operation,the heat generated by the battery charge and discharge will cause the temperature of the battery to rise,and the temperature will affect the performance,service life and even combustion explosion of the *** the development of power battery pack,it is necessary to simulate and analyze the temperature field in the battery pack,and combine the test of the battery-bed to ensure that the thermal performance meets the requirements in the operation *** this paper,the thermal simulation analysis model of the battery pack based on the coupling of equivalent circuit and the heat flow was established,and its simulation results wereagreement with test *** is shown that the simulation method is correct,which can provide advices and suggestions for the design and development of EV power battery pack.

Pulse magneto-oscillation(PMO)added during solidification could affect the solidification structure and macrosegregation.A modified thermal simulation equipment was applied to prepare GCr15 bearing steel continuous casting billets with different PMO peak ***,metallographic analysis,component analysis and numerical simulation were adopted to study the influence of PMO peak current and its *** sample with 150 K_(I)A PMO peak current treatment has little difference with the samples without PMO treatment on solidification structure and *** the peak currents are 250 and 350 K_(I)A,the columnar zone increases and macrosegregation *** 450 K_(I)A peak current is selected,the equiaxed grain ratio is enlarged,and the dendritic grains are refined,and the macrosegregation of C,Cr,Si and Mn is decreased *** analyzing,different convections induced by PMO with various peak currents are the key factor to change the solidification structure and macrosegregation.

To enhance nominal current of high voltage vacuum circuit breakers （VCBs）, a gravity heat pipe was proposed to replace stationary conducting rod of a high voltage vacuum interrupter. The heat pipe is composed of two coaxis tubes： the external tube is made of oxygen-free copper and the inner tube is made of stainless steel. The bottom end of the inner stainless steel tube is connected to the external copper tube by holes. Transient and static thermal performance of the heat pipe was measured, and the thermal resistance of it was compared with that of a solid copper rod with the same dimensions. Experimental results showed that thermal resistance of the heat pipe was about 1/3 of that of the copper rod, and it decreased slightly with the rising of the input heat flux. 3D thermal simulation on a 126 kV/2000 A single break VCB was done to compare the thermal performance between the proposed gravity heat pipe and the copper rod serving as the stationary conducting rod of the vacuum interrupter. simulation results revealed that in the heat pipe case, the maximum temperature between contacts was 67 ℃ lower than that in the copper rod case.
