The mid-infrared solid lasers at the wavelength of 2.7μm have drawn much attention for enormous applications in medicine,detection and remote sensors *** doping in matrix can be served as an active ion to achieve 2.7μm lasers effectively through its I→I *** were many reports about Er as an active ion concentrate mainly on oxide hosts(crystals and ceramics) like YAG,YSGG and fluoride hosts like CaF,SrF,***,the efficiencies of these lasers are low because of the scientific problems,such as the high nonradiative transition probability,self-termination effect,low absorption efficiency,multiple luminescence competing channels,*** result in failure in meeting the demand of practical *** order to overcome these disadvantages,some sensitizing ions,such as Nd,Pr,Tm were co-coped into laser crystals for optimization design of photo-electric coupling mechanism of Er ions in our *** new gallates and aluminates such as GdGaO,ABCO(A=Ca,Sr,Ba,B=Y,Gd,La,C=Al,Ga),CaReAlO,ReScGaO,were used as hosts of mid-infrared laser crystals and their Er co-doped with sensitizing ions laser crystals with high quality and larger sizes were *** spectra and laser properties were also *** microchip laser and passively Q-switched mid-infrared(MIR) solid state lasers with BiTe/graphene hetero-structure saturable absorber(SA) were obtained for the first time.
