Training vocational and technical Talents in western China from the perspective of rural vitalization

With the announcement of the Rural Revitalization Strategic Plan(2018-2022), China's western region has become an important battleground for rural revitalization strategies. To create a work team that understands agriculture, loves the countryside, and loves farmers is inseparable from vocational and technical education. The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy urgently requires the services of professional and technical personnel in the western region. According to the training mode of international and domestic professional and technical Talents and the status quo of professional and technical Talents in the western region, the paper analyzes the problem of "urbanization" in vocational and technical education in western China, lack of vocational education system and education form for "agriculture, rural areas and farmers", lack of diversity and flexibility in the learning system. Serving the rural revitalization strategy, we must vigorously develop vocational education for rural areas, cultivate rural craftsmen and economic management Talents, optimize the vocational education curriculum system, strengthen the construction of teachers, and create a diverse Talent evaluation mechanism. This will help the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

With an increasing proportion of sedentary lifestyle related chronic diseases,an efficient way to help fight the growing world epidemic of non-communicable diseases(NCDs)and promote public health in a fast-changing world is urgently needed.Exercise and medicine science have played an important role in prevention and control of NCDs.However,the current status and future development directions regarding the integration of exercise science and medicine(IESM)in China have not been well discussed.During 2017 Belt and Road Initiative Global Health International Congress&2017 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association-Chinese Society on Global Health Annual Meeting,Xi’an Jiaotong University Global Health Institute,and the Integration of Sport and Medicine Innovation Research Center,China Institute of Sport Science organized the IESM Forum on September 27.Six leaders and experts from China and abroad presented excellent research reports in the IESM Forum from several aspects.Experts reached a consensus at the end of their discussions that,in the near future,the IESM will be a key part of a sustainable health care system and as such should contribute to prosperity in China and around the world.However,compared with European,American and Japanese universities,the development of the IESM in China is in its early stages with huge development potential.

The development of innovation and entrepreneurship education is gaining momentum.With the arrival of the Internet era,innovation and entrepreneurship have a better development platform.The tourist industry,as a “sunrise industry”,has great potential for development and has become a new economic growth point.In many areas,tourism has been identified as a pillar industry,a leading industry,and an industry receiving priority in developing.In the face of increasingly fierce competitive markets,it is particularly important to cultivate high-quality innovative and entrepreneurial Talents in tourism management.For this purpose,this study analyzes the current situation of Talent demand in China’s tourist industry and the problems existing in innovation and entrepreneurship education,draws on the successful experience of foreign colleges and universities in Talent cultivation,and proposes and constructs a training mode for innovative and entrepreneurial Talents in tourism management in the era of Internet Plus.

The Drum Tower Hospital in Nanjing of Jiangsu Province is an ancient comprehensive hospital with a history of 112 years. It was founded in 1892 by the American-Canadian missionary W. E Macline. By the end of 1949, the hospital had owned 160 beds and had a staff of 242. It received 3667 inpatients and 78 905 outpatients annually. In past decades, the hospital developed at a great pace. By 2003, the hospital had owned 1400 beds and had a staff of 2086, including 846 medical technicians and 796 nurses. In that year, we accepted inpatients 26 695 times and outpatients 1 269 299 times, breaking new records. In 2002, we were delighted to hold the ceremony for the 110th anniversary of the hospital. The Vice Minister of Health Zhu Qing-sheng and many scholars and guests at home and abroad attended the ceremony and participated in numerous activities promoting academic exchange. These activities fully displayed the ability of the Drum Tower Hospital to "Cross three centuries and create one hundred years of brilliance. The hospital has made progress and development in hospital administration, medical qualification, and scientific research and teaching, and has made many technical innovations. The reason why the hospital can continue flourishing energetically is clear; it is by enhancing the hospital with science and technology and emphasizing the cultivation of Talent.

With the gradual expansion of the scale and enrollment of colleges and universities in China,the university education has changed from the elite education to the mass education. The decline of students' quality and the backwardness of the mode of cultivating Talents in colleges and universities have resulted in the general low employability of college students and the prominent phenomenon of structural unemployment. Against a background of mass innovation and mass entrepreneurship,colleges and universities should make timely adjustments to the major structure according to social development,cultivate innovative and entrepreneurial Talents,and make the objectives and quality of Talent training meet the needs of social development. Based on the analysis of the status quo of innovation and entrepreneurship in colleges and universities,especially in agricultural and forestry,normal universities,this paper explores the training model of innovative and entrepreneurial Talents in colleges and universities to provide a reference for the training of specialized Talents in different disciplines.

In the history of Chinese-American people-to-people exchange,the implementation of the China-U.S.Fulbright Program is surely a bright facet which should not be ignored.This program has been cultivating Talents in the fields of social sciences and humanities for the two countries,promoting Sino-U.S.communications in the domains of education,academia and culture,and propelling the diffusion and advance of both Chinese and American cultures.The Fulbright Program in China still has certain limitations waiting to be improved,and one obvious problem is its coverage in China.To solve this problem,more Chinese higher education institutions should be included in the China-U.S.Fulbright Program,and the result would be the generation of immeasurable value for the prosperity of Sino-American people-to-people exchange and therefore the construction of the new model of major country relations between China and the United States.

The system-based integrated curriculum teaching is a mainstream trend of curriculum reform at medical schools both at home and abroad.Since 2009,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine has implemented the integrated teaching reform with modules classified by organ systems.This paper takes the integrated respiratory system course as an example,reviews and explores the outcomes and existing problems during the teaching reform practice,so as to lay a foundation for comprehensive and efficient implementation of the system-based integrated teaching,improve the teaching quality,and cultivate high level excellent medical Talents.
