Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a major health problem causing significant morbidity and mortality.Previous results from various studies indicate that CRC tumorigenicity encompasses tumor microenvironment,emphasizing the complex interacting network between cancer cells and nearby host cells,which triggers diverse signaling pathways to promote the growth and spread ofcancer cells.The CCN family proteins share a uniform modular structure,mediating a variety of physiological functions,including proliferation,apoptosis,migration,adhesion,differentiation,and survival.Furthermore,CCN proteins are also involved in CRC initiation and development.Many studies have shown that CCN members,such as CCN1,CCN2,CCN3,Wnt-induced secreted protein(WISP)-1,WISP-2,and WISP-3,are dysregulated in CRC,which implies potential diagnostic markers or therapeutic targets clinically.In this review,we summarize the research findings on the role of CCN family proteins in CRC initiation,development,and progression,highlighting their potential for diagnosis,prognosis,and therapeutic application.

tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)inhibitors are biological agents introduced in the late 1990s for the treatment of different immune-mediated diseases as inflammatory bowel disease,rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.The most commonly used TNF-αantagonists are infliximab,adalimumab,and certolizumab pegol,and though highly effective in lowering inflammation,the efficacy must be weighed against the potential for adverse events.The treatment-induced immunosuppression is suspected to increase the risk of infections,including the risk of reactivation of latent tuberculosis,as the TNF-αcytokine plays an important role in the immune function.In this topic highlight a short overview of the infection risk associated with TNF-αinhibiter therapy is outlined with a focus on the overall risk of serious infections,mycobacterial infection and latent viral infections.

目前临床应用结核性溃疡(tuberculous ucler,tu)相关评估量表主要为证候积分、病例报告表等,主要评估依据为肺结核疗效评估标准、创面愈合评估标准等,大部分为自拟量表,缺乏科学性,无法量化体现疗效。本文回顾性分析中医理论,探索中医治疗结核性溃疡结局,遵循国际研究原则,将结核性溃疡患者作为管理中心,基于“辨证施治”理念,构建结核性溃疡中医报告结局(Patient Reported Outcome,PRO)量表,涵盖了心理、生理、治疗与社会等领域。通过完善tu-PRO量表,可为中医诊疗tu类患者提供依据。将tu-PRO量表作为中医量化评估疗效标准,可增强患者生存质量,有利于促进现代医疗背景下中医发展,方便中医药、中医诊疗技术推广应用。

PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PATHOLOGICAL MECHANISMS INVOLVED IN ANGIOGENESIS AND OVARIAN FUNCTION Angiogenesis is the process of blood vessel formation in which new vessels sprout and mature from a pre-existing vasculature.Vessel formation is critical during tissue development in embryogenesis(vasculogenesis)and in several pathological conditions.However,in healthy tissues,physiological angiogenesis is mainly limited to the reproductive system.The ovarian vasculature particularly associated with the dominant structures(preovulatory follicle and corpus luteum)during the ovarian cycle is one of the few sites where nonpathological development and regression of blood vessels occurs in the adult.Recently,local factors such as VEGFA and angiopoietins,which act specifically on vascular endothelial or support cells(pericytes or smooth muscle)to control angiogenesis,were identified in the ovary of several species,including nonhuman primates and women.

Rudolf Arnheim’s Gestalt art theory examines visual perceptual forces and the phenomenon of“isomorphism”in psychological movement by exemplifying Chinese images as T’ai-chi tu.By raising these Chinese examples,he points out the similarities of western and Chinese aesthetic theories.He deploys Chinese thought,especially Taoism,to complement the deficiency of western thought.Taoist thought enlightened him to a new path to critically reflect the western traditions of dichotomies,which sharply divides perception from thinking,and art from science.Arnheim examines Chinese art from a perspective of western psychology,and also reflectson western theories taking Chinese culture as a mirror,in order to supplement western experience and construct a universal scientific aesthetic theory.

LECtuRES“Miguel Lillo”Lecture A1 THE ANCIENT tuCMA UNDER THE TAWANTINSUYU AND THE SPANISH EMPIRES During the fourth or fifth century AD the so called Ancient States appeared in the American continent.These States,which lay in what is now Mexico,Guatemala and Belize,reached their highest point with the appearance of the Aztec and Mayan Empires.In South America,this phenomenon took place in the Andean section of Ecuador,Peru,Bolivia,Chile and Argentina and culminated with the expansion and conquest of the Inca Empire or Tawantinsuyu,starting in the 15th century.The Incas invaded and conquered the northern half of Chile,the Andean Northwest of Argentina and the Cuyo area,which became part of that State.

TZ Eri and tu Her are both classic Algol-type systems(Algols). By observing and collecting times of minimum light, we constructed the O-C curves for the two systems. The long-time upward and downward parabolas shown in these diagrams are considered to be the result of the combination of mass transfer and angular momentum loss. The secular orbital period change rates are d P/dt = 4.74(±0.12) ×10-7 d yr-1 and d P/dt =-2.33(±0.01) × 10-6 d yr-1, respectively. There are also cyclic variations in their O-C curves which might be caused by the light-travel time effect(LTTE). A circumbinary star may exist in the TZ Eri system with a mass of at least 1.34 M⊙, while there are possibly two celestial bodies that almost follow a 2 : 1 resonance orbit around the tu Her binary pair. Their masses are at least 2.43 M⊙and 1.27 M⊙.
