Due to the prevalence of modern commerce and mainstream culture, many indigenous cultures around the world are rapidly diminishing. These cultures, with their unique primitiveness distinct from modern culture, often attract tourists. This study integrates the indigenous Yami culture of Lanyu Island, Taiwan Region, into innovative designs from the perspective of tourists’ understanding of the local culture. In this way, tourists can experience the harmonious coexistence of the Yami tribe and nature, while these culturally rich products foster deeper experiential and emotional resonance. This study employs the Mandala thinking method for concept expansion and the Osborn checklist method for the analysis and transformation of design elements. Subsequently, designers were invited to conduct on-site travel experiences, leading to the creation of a series of Yami cultural products. Through the evaluation and validation of cultural product assessment indicators, functional commercialized products were ultimately produced. This study aims to establish a design process for cultural products through this design case. It seeks to help users recall their Lanyu Island travel experiences and appreciate the often-overlooked cultural beauty, thereby raising awareness of cultural preservation.

Cultural heritage is seen as a cultural capital. The heritage tourism increases the local employment and income, however, brings some problems at the same time, changing the traditional living way and industrial structure. The sustainability of economic development by tourism is also questioned. Fujian Tulou is a world heritage site in China, inscribed in 2008. The nomination has brought great changes to the sites, especially the flourishing tourism industries by the local communities as well as the tourism companies. The latter also take part in the management of the heritage site and get most of the income. The data in economic areas is analyzed in this study and explains the cultural tourism as a positive drive for the local economy, which contributes little to the life of locals. With the analysis of the changes and benefits from the tourism, we have found that tourism, as a dominant industry, might be a potential negative element for heritage conservation. According to the different situations of sites in Fujian Tulou, a proper planning of management is in need to integrate the tourism, conservation and development.

Local development often depends on tourism, especially in fragile contexts like islands which represent a special cluster and are the best cases to be analyzed in order to highlight positive and negative aspects of economic development driven by tourism. A sustainable development approach should be taken in account and the UNESCO brand plays a fundamental role in this sense. The aim of this paper is to analyze the link between tourism supply and the growth of tourism demand in the case of UNESCO sites through multivariate regression analysis. The results show a correlation between the variables considered. But the actual structure of supply is still built on conventional sea tourism and is not yet organized to host and attract tourism demand connected with the UNESCO active volcano area. The UNESCO brand could guarantee a new approach for local tourism development if associated with a specific tourism supply structure.

Predicting tourism traffic demand accurately plays an important role in making effective policies for tourist administration. It helps to distribute the resources reasonably and avoid the tourism congestions. This paper considered the noise interference and proposed a hybrid model, combining ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD), deep belief network (DBN) and Google trends, for tourism traffic demand prediction. This model firstly applied dislocation weighted synthesis method to combine Google trends into a search composite index, and then it denoised the series with EEMD. EEMD extracted the high frequency noise from the original series. The low frequency series of search composite index would be used to forecast the low frequency tourism traffic series. Taking the inbound tourism in Shanghai as an example, this paper trained the model and predicted the next 12 months tourism arrivals. The conclusion demonstrated that the forecast error of EEMD-DBN model is lower remarkably than the baselines of ARIMA, GM(1,1), FTS, SVM, CES and DBN model. This revealed that nosing processing is necessary and EEMD-DBN forecast model can improve the prediction accuracy.

Tourists travel to the islands of Grenada, Barbados, and Tobago to bask in the sun of these islands＇ pristine beaches. This resulting business of tourism provides the catalyst for these host countries to deliver a valuable holiday experience and the dichotomy of the negative impacts created by the very tourism industry. This paper presents three islands whose reliance on the tourism industry has stimulated economic growth, socio-cnltural benefits, and environmental preservation along with the negative impacts of environmental degradation, cultural dilution, and economic leakages. Key to this research is the management of those challenges through sustainable tourism opportunities involving various stakeholders and their role in minimizing economic leakages, social inequity, and environmental degradation.

After the survey of tourist resources of Yaogu Buyi Village in Maolan Biosphere Reserve,it has found that this village has abundant tourist resources and beautiful natural environment,and villagers have a strong desire to acquire wealth through tourism *** the same time,the paper has pointed out that buildings in the village have been seriously destroyed,its environment is poor and it is lack of villagers for cultural *** this basis,it has proposed the general positioning of Yaogu national village development,and the idea and layout for tourist products' *** depending on the natural scenery of Maolan Biosphere Reserve,with "ancient Buyi,the source of folk custom" as the theme and "one corridor and four zones" as the general layout,national cultural tourist products' development can be achieved through the integration of village's protection,cultural inheritance and economic development.

Taking Yangping Village,Quyang County,Hebei Province for an example,folk culture tourism in rural areas of Quyang County was analyzed,on the basis of which advantages were pointed out as rich tourist resources,excellent location,already-developed tourism industry,and also disadvantages as poor road landscaping,serious environment pollution,shortage of high-quality talents,and inadequate development of small *** view of this,corresponding principles and development strategies were proposed to supervise the folk culture tourism in rural areas,such as interaction of commerce and tourism,culture-based,dynamic participation,systematic planning,all-round consideration and so *** for Yangping Village,key construction projects were discussed from the perspectives of environment construction,design of recreational zone in Shigang Carvings Park,design of functional zone on Huangshi Plaza,design of rural tourist commodities,so as to provide useful references for the development of folk culture tourist resources in China.
