Based on the potentials of hydrogen in the Si lattice calculated by the MNDO (modifiedneglect of diatomic overlap) method, three states of hydrogen (atomic, molecular and onebonded with Si atom) are suggested and the numerous experimental results, including solubil-ity, diffusion, IR, channeling and precipitation are reexamined to give a unified picture ofthe state and behavior of H in c-Si. Its relation to H in a-Si is also discussed.
