Stabilization problem of discrete-time linear switching systems with bounds on the state and control input is solved in this paper. First, the synthesis of state feedback controllers that ensure the stability of closed-loop switching systems is studied under a sufficient condition. By using the idea of positive invariance, a stabilizing controller design methodology is proposed. Based on these results, the convergence rate problem is also discussed. A state feedback controller that guarantees the optimal convergence rate of closed-loop switching systems is obtained via optimization. Finally, an example made up of two subsystems is studied to show the application of our method.

In this paper,a subclass of switching systems is considered,which is the discrete-time linear switching systems with only in-loop *** the presence of parameter variations and additive l∞ bounded disturbances,the control problem solved consists of determining the non-conservative bounds on the l∞norm of the controlled output,independently of the external uncontrollable event and *** basic idea employed in this paper is to translate the required level of performance into the constraint on the controlled switching systems,then this constraint is considered as the safety problem for this class of switching *** with the bisection method,the optimal level of performance that solves the disturbance attenuation property problem can be *** last,some simulation results are included to show the applicability of the technique.

This paper addresses the problem of Fault Detection and Isolation （FDI） of switching systems where faulty behaviours are represented as faulty *** objectives of the on-line FDI are to identify accurately the current mode and to estimate precisely the switching time.A data-based method is considered here to generate residuals that will be used for *** discernibility condition between modes is *** is claimed in the literature that discernibility conditions are necessary for switching ***,it is shown in this paper that the switching may be detected with the proposed residuals even if the modes are not *** conditions between modes are established and are shown to be different from discernibility ones.A simulation example is provided to illustrate this important result.

The paper is concerned with stabilization problem for a class of stochastic switching systems with time-delay in the detection of switching signal. By using binomial model,Poisson process,and Wiener process to describe time-delay, switching signal, and exogenous disturbance, respectively, the system under investigation is entirely set in a stochastic framework. The influence of the random time-delay is combined into reconstructing the switching signal of overall closed-loop system and changes the distribution property of switching points. Therefore,based on the asymptotical behaviors of Poisson processes and Wiener processes,the almost surely exponential stability conditions are established. Furthermore,a design methodology is posed for solving the stabilization control.

This paper proposes a optimal control problem for a general nonlinear systems with finitely many admissible control settings and with costs assigned to switching of controls. With dynamic programming and viscosity solution theory we show that the switching lower-value function is a viscosity solution of the appropriate systems of quasi-variational inequalities（the appropriate generalization of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation in this context） and that the minimal such switching-storage function is equal to the continuous switching lower-value for the game. With the lower value function a optimal switching control is designed for minimizing the cost of running the systems.

The performance of an optical switching network is mainly determined by its core node structure. An improved optical packet switching （OPS） node structure based on recirculation optical fiber delay line （FDL） and feedback tunable wavelength converter （TWC）, and a specific scheduling algorithm for the node structure are presented. This switching structure supports both point-to-point and point-to-multi- points broadcasting transmission with superior capacity expansion performance. Its superiority in packet loss probability is proved by simulation.

This paper investigates the minimal-energy driving problem for high-speed electric train, and then proposes a three-stage optimal strategy. First, a switching system model is introduced to describe the new dynamics in high-speed electric train, which considers the extended range of speed, the energy efficiency and the regenerative brake. Based on the new model, the optimal driving strategy with minimal-energy consumption is studied, and the problem is boiled down to optimal control for switching systems. Using a numerical algorithm, a three-stage driving strategy is concluded, in which the traditional quasi-coasting stage is discarded and the maximal traction and brake are not suitable anymore. Finally, a case study on CRH is illustrated.

TWC and AWG based optical switching structure for OVPN in WDM-PON

With the rapid development of optical elements with large capacity and high speed, the network architecture is of great importance in determing the performance of wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network （WDM-PON）. This paper proposes a switching struc^re based on the tunable wavelength converter （TWC） and the ar- rayed-waveguide grating （AWG） for WDM-PON, in order to provide the function of opitcal virtual private network （OVPN）. Using the tunable wavelength converter technology, this switch structure is designed and works between the optical line terminal （OLT） and optical network units （ONUs） in the WDM-PON system. Moreover, the wavelength assignment of upstream/downstream can be realized and direct communication between ONUs is also allowed by privite wavelength channel. Simulation results show that the proposed TWC and AWG based switching structure is able to achieve OVPN function and to gain better performances in terms of bite error rate （BER） and time delay.

Ag/ZnO/Pt structure resistive switching devices are fabricated by radio frequency （RF） magnetron sputtering at room temperature. The memory devices exhibit stable and reversible resistive switching behavior. The ratio of high resistance state to low resistance state can reach as high as 102. The retention mea- surement indicates that the memory property of these devices can be maintained for a long time （over 104 s under 0.1-V durable stress）. Moreover, the operation voltages are very low, -0.4 V （OFF state） and 0.8 V （ON state）. A high-voltage forming process is not required in the initial state, and multi-step reset process is demonstrated. Resistive switching device with the Ag/ZnO/ITO structure is constructed for comparison with the Ag/ZnO/Pt device.
