Electroencephalogram(EEG)is one of the most important bioelectrical signals related to brain activity and plays a crucial role in clinical medicine.Driven by continuously expanding applications,the development of EEG materials and technology has attracted considerable attention.However,systematic analysis of the sustainable development of EEG materials and technology is still lacking.This review discusses the sustainable development of EEG materials and technology.First,the developing course of EEG is introduced to reveal its significance,particularly in clinical medicine.Then,the sustainability of the EEG materials and technology is discussed from two main aspects:integrated systems and EEG electrodes.For integrated systems,sustainability has been focused on the developing trend toward mobile EEG systems and big-data monitoring/analyzing of EEG signals.Sustainability is related to miniaturized,wireless,portable,and wearable systems that are integrated with big-data modeling techniques.For EEG electrodes and materials,sustainability has been comprehensively analyzed from three perspectives:performance of different material/structural categories,sustainablematerials for EEGelectrodes,and sustainable manufacturing technologies.In addition,sustainable applications of EEG have been presented.Finally,the sustainable development of EEG materials and technology in recent decades is summarized,revealing future possible research directions as well as urgent challenges.

There is a growing global awareness of environmental,social,and governance(ESG)concerns.The biopharmaceutical industry is an important field that affects human health and well-being,and its sustainable development is now the industry’s focus.Based on the current state of the green development of China’s biopharmaceutical industry,the article proposes suggestions and paths for promoting the industry to better fulfill its social responsibilities and protect the environment while pursuing economic benefits.By doing so,the industry can make a greater contribution to global public health and become an important factor in promoting human health and social prosperity.

Hungry and Angry Society: Implications for sustainable development in Nigeria

Hunger is a physiological need,but the production and consumption of adequate and balanced food is a function of social forces.At every point,social,political,and economic processes intervene,for better or(more common)for worse.Food is one fundamental need of human beings for survival.But in Nigeria there is widespread food shortage and hunger.development scholars have put forward reasons why poverty,hunger persists in the country,from the platitudes about population growth,inadequate implementation of agricultural policies,and neglect of agriculture,bad leadership,corruption,and the issue of distribution.Nigeria is richly blessed with arable land and citizens eager to unlock its food potentials.Unfortunately,this is far from being realized as the country depends on foreign countries for food,a situation that is tragic and sad.She spends about$10 billion a year importing food and agricultural products,the majority of which are wheat,rice,poultry,fish,and consumer-oriented foods.The pressure on the exchange rate results in devaluation-triggered inflation and food costs that fly up beyond the grasp of people at the bottom of the ladder as it is now is one of the negative repercussions of high food importation bills.Examining the effects of hunger is one of this paper’s key concerns and goals,and anger crisis for achieving sustainable development in the country using the Frustration-Aggression Theory,The Relative Deprivation and Political Economy Approach as guide.

Enterprises must develop and implement effective strategic measures to achieve sustainable development.This entails evaluating corporate performance,understanding the impact of sustainable development strategies on corporate performance,and implementing such strategies.The article proposes eight critical countermeasures to foster harmony and sustainable development among humanity,nature,the economy,and society:innovation-driven initiatives,green development practices,social responsibility initiatives,talent cultivation programs,collaborative cooperation efforts,sound financial management,brand-building endeavors,and effective information management.

Food Security Problems and Solutions in China Based on the Strategy of sustainable Agricultural development

China attaches great importance to food security.With the strong promotion of the government,China􀆳s grain output has achieved a great feat from"shortage"to"surplus in bumper years"and then to"rising steadily",achieving a record"increase for the tenth consecutive year".From the current balance of food supply and demand in China,the food security situation can be guaranteed on the whole.However,if we analyze the food security in China from the perspective of agricultural sustainable development strategy,there are some difficulties,such as the reduction of cultivated land area,the decline of cultivated land quality,the fragility of agricultural ecological environment,and the transformation of residents􀆳consumption structure.This paper analyzes the difficulties faced by the development of food security in China under the strategy of sustainable agricultural development,and puts forward that to implement the strategy of sustainable agricultural development,it is necessary to realize the coordinated development of food security,science and technology,ecological environment,resources and society.

Reconciling the tasks of producing adequate amounts of nutritious food for the increasing global population while preserving the environment and natural ecosystems simultaneously is an enormous challenge. The concept of agriculture green development(AGD) and the necessary governmental policies were developed to address the aforementioned challenge in China and to help achieve the related global sustainable development goals. Agriculture green development emphasizes the synergy between green and development;current agriculture has to transform from the intensive farming with high inputs, high environmental impacts and low resource-use efficiency to a more sustainable agriculture, in order to ensure an adequate supply of nutritious food while delivering environmental integrity, improved economic profitability,and social equity. A research program on AGD was established by China Agricultural University with four research themes, namely: green crop production, green integrated crop-animal production, green food and industry,and green ecological environment and ecosystem services, to provide a scientific basis for future developments and to facilitate the implementation of AGD in practice. AGD requires a multistakeholder approach, fueled by innovative and interdisciplinary research. Joint actions have to be taken by governments, farmers, supply industries, consumers, educators, extension services and researchers to support AGD. This requires strong coordination and public awareness campaigns. This review presents the progress that has been made over the past 5 years and makes recommendations for more research and development, in order to better deliver agricultural green and sustainable development on national and international scales.

A systematic literature review to explore sustainable energy development practices in Mozambique

This study thoroughly evaluates sustainable energy practices in Mozambique,identifies suitable activities and suggests future re-search directions.The authors meticulously detail the research tasks undertaken to achieve the primary objective of the study,including organizing articles by publication year,journal and conference papers;identifying the most frequently cited articles;and recognizing countries that have made significant contributions to the concept of sustainable energy.The study highlights the most relevant sustainable energy development practices for Mozambique,identifies suitable activities and suggests future research direc-tions.Through rigorous analysis,six significant areas of sustainable energy development were identified,including renewable energy(RE)resources,environmental science,social sciences,computer science,management and accounting,and Earth and planetary sci-ences.The study used Scopus as the selected multidisciplinary peer-reviewed citation database on 20 February 2023,resulting in 76 publications.The study has been conducted nationwide for several months and thoroughly investigates various resources such as hydro,wind,solar,biomass and geothermal energy.It achieves this by evaluating and characterizing the power generation potential of each RE resource and,in addition,identifying and examining numerous projects at the technical and economic feasibility level to promote the potential of projects and the advantages of RE for the sustainable development of Mozambique.The findings indicate that for sustainable energy development in Mozambique,it is crucial to introduce more policies to support the effectiveness of RE systems while involving the private sector.To achieve this,measures such as reducing investment risks,guaranteeing investment returns and establishing a transparent regulatory framework are required.These steps will attract substantial investments,resolve conflicts and motivate key stakeholders to actively participate in the process.

Leveraging the metacoupling framework for sustainability science and global sustainable development

Sustainability science seeks to understand human-nature interactions behind sustainability challenges,but has largely been place-based.Traditional sustainability efforts often solved problems in one place at the cost of other places,compromising global sustainability.The metacoupling framework offers a conceptual foundation and a holistic approach to integrating human-nature interactions within a place,as well as between adjacent places and between distant places worldwide.Its applications show broad utilities for advancing sustainability science with profound implications for global sustainable development.They have revealed effects of metacoupling on the performance,synergies,and trade-offs of United Nations sustainable D evelopment Goals(SDGs) across borders and across local to global scales;untangled complex interactions;identified new network attributes;unveiled spatio-temporal dynamics and effects of metacoupling;uncovered invisible feedbacks across metacoupled systems;expanded the nexus approach;detected and integrated hidden phenomena and overlooked issues;re-examined theories such as Tobler’ s First Law of Geography;and unfolded transformations among noncoupling,coupling,decoupling,and recoupling.Results from the applications are also helpful to achieve SDGs across space,amplify benefits of ecosystem restoration across boundaries and across scales,augment transboundary management,broaden spatial planning,boost supply chains,empower small agents in the large world,and shift from place-based to flow-based governance.Key topics for future research include cascading effects of an event in one place on other places both nearby and far away.Operationalizing the framework can benefit from further tracing flows across scales and space,uplifting the rigor of causal attribution,enlarging toolboxes,and elevating financial and human resources.Unleashing the full potential of the framework will generate more important scientific discoveries and more effective solutions for global justice and sustainable development.

Green manufacturing for achieving carbon neutrality goal requires innovative technologies:A bibliometric analysis from 1991 to 2022

Recent years have seen a significant increase in interest in green manufacturing as a key driver of global carbon-neutral efforts and sustainable development.To find the research hotspots of green manufacturing and reveal future research trends,this study reviewed and analyzed research articles from the Web of Science database on green manufacturing from1991 to 2022 using a bibliometric method.The findings indicate a significant rise in the number of articles related to green manufacturing since the 2010s.Moreover,there has been an increase in the involvement of scholars from developing countries such as China and India in this field.Based on the literature review and bibliometric cluster analysis on green manufacturing,we believed that future research may continue following the lines of intelligent technology integration,adoption of frontier engineering techniques,and industry development in line with carbon reduction targets.A framework for future green manufacturing development is proposed,with a focus on Chinese policies.The framework could provide policy implications for developing countries looking to pursue opportunities for development in green manufacturing.

Solar energy is environmentally friendly technology,a great energy supply and one of the most significant renewable and green energy sources.It plays a substantial role in achieving sustainable development energy solutions.Therefore,the massive amount of solar energy attainable daily makes it a very attractive resource for generating electricity.Both technologies,applications of concentrated solar power or solar photovoltaics,are always under continuous development to fulfil our energy needs.Hence,a large installed capacity of solar energy applications worldwide,in the same context,supports the energy sector and meets the employment market to gain sufficient development.This paper highlights solar energy applications and their role in sustainable development and considers renewable energy’s overall employment potential.Thus,it provides insights and analysis on solar energy sustainability,including environmental and economic development.Furthermore,it has identified the contributions of solar energy applications in sustainable development by providing energy needs,creating jobs opportunities and enhancing environmental protection.Finally,the perspective of solar energy technology is drawn up in the application of the energy sector and affords a vision of future development in this domain.
