Under different conditions,gene regulatory networks(GRNs)of the same gene set could be similar but *** differential analysis of GRNs under different conditions is important for understanding condition-specific gene regulatory *** a naive approach,existing GRN inference algorithms can be used to separately estimate two GRNs under different conditions and identify the differences between ***,in this way,the similarities between the pairwise GRNs are not taken into *** joint differential analysis algorithms have been proposed recently,which were proved to outperform the naive approach *** this paper,we model the GRNs under different conditions with structural equation models(SEMs)to integrate gene expression data and genetic perturbations,and re-parameterize the pairwise SEMs to form an integrated model that incorporates the differential ***,a Bayesian inference method is used to make joint differential analysis by solving the integrated *** evaluated the performance of the proposed re-parametrization-based Bayesian differential analysis(ReBDA)algorithm by running simulations on synthetic data with different *** performance of the ReBDA algorithm was demonstrated better than another state-of-the-art joint differential analysis algorithm for SEMs ReDNet *** the end,the ReBDA algorithm was applied to make differential analysis on a real human lung gene data set to illustrate its applicability and practicability.

＜正＞In this paper,we proposed a Bayesian analysis of finite mixtures in structural equation models（SEMs）using truncated Dirichlet process. The main idea of our modeling method is to reformulate the finite mixture SEMs as a single SEM,in which the truncated Dirichlet process priors are employed as the prior distributions of the involved unknown *** that,the Bayesian analysis can be implemented based on the Blocked Gibbs *** proposed methodology has clear advantages over traditional mixture ***,it simultaneously determine the number of components in mixtures,estimates the unknown parameters in each component models,and provides the information of the Bayesian ***,it can be easily implemented with the recently developed and freely available software WinBUGS,which leads practitioners avoid complicated derivation and non-trivial programming.A simulation study demonstrates that the performance of the proposed method is satisfactory.A study on a cocaine use data is provided to illustrate the methodology.

Objective To enhance the quality of medical service for Chinese patients through research of service quality from Chinese medical personnel. Methods Serv Qual scale was used for infection medical staffs randomly by sampling questionnaire in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Nanning. The data collected were entered and analyzed using SPSS 20.0. Statistical methods included frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, independent samples t test, one-way analyses of variance, simultaneous regression analysis and structural equation model analysis. Results The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value for the factor analysis of the scale was 0.970. The Cronbach's α for the reliability analysis was 0.975. The Pearson correlation coefficients were 0.624-0.874 and statistically significant. Undergraduates felt good, Ph D students felt bad; the doctors felt bad; managers felt good. Standard 5 dimensions of the regression coefficients were positive, including empathy(β = 0.288), reliability(β = 0.241) impacting on perceived service quality mostly. The control ability and stability of the standard error of perceived service quality directly effected value were 0.646 and 0.382, respectively. Conclusions Medical staffs of infectious disease department have poor perception of service quality. Hospitals should improve awareness and of clinicians and deepen the reform of the medical care system.

Background: Air temperature affects absorptive root traits, which are closely related to species ***, it is still unclear how air temperature regulates species distribution through changes in absorptive root traits. Seven functional traits of the absorptive roots of 240 individuals of 52 species, soil properties and air temperature were measured along an elevational gradient on Mt. Fanjingshan, Tongren City, Guizhou, and then the direct and indirect effects of these controls on species distribution were ***: Absorptive roots adapted to air temperature with two strategies. The first strategy was positively associated with the specific root area(SRA) and specific root length(SRL) and was negatively associated with the root tissue density(RTD), representing the classic root economics spectrum(RES). The second strategy was represented by the trade-off between root diameter, mycorrhizal fungi colonization(MF) and SRL, representing the collaboration gradient with “do it yourself” resource uptake ranging from “outsourcing” to mycorrhizal resource uptake. Air temperature regulated species distribution in six ways: directly reducing species importance value;indirectly increasing the species importance value by reducing soil nitrogen content or increasing soil pH by reducing soil moisture inducing absorptive roots to change from “do it yourself” resource absorption to “outsourcing” resource absorption;indirectly decreasing the species importance value by decreasing soil moisture to change from“outsourcing”resource absorption to “do it yourself” resource absorption;indirectly increasing the species importance value with increasing soil pH by reducing soil moisture resulting in absorptive root traits turning into nutrient foraging traits;and indirectly decreasing the species importance value by promoting absorptive root traits to nutrient conservation ***: Absorptive root traits play a crucial role in the regulation of species distri

Nestling growth parameters are integral components of avian life-history strategies as they are crucial determinants of individual *** many factors impact on nestling growth,the relative contribution of each one is still debated in the *** studies rely on the assumption that each factor directly affects nestling growth,but indirect effects mediated by other factors are usually the rule in *** this study,we present a comprehensive view of both direct and indirect factors affecting nestling growth using the Red-crested Cardinal(Paroaria coronata)as model *** evaluated the relative importance of different habitat(forest structure),biotic interactions(botfly larvae ectoparasitism,number of siblings,hatching order),and temporal factors(time of breeding)on nestling growth parameters in 278 nestlings of 128 nests by using piecewise structural equation *** found that botfly ectoparasitism had the strongest direct effect on nestling growth and,in turn,forest structure increased the probability of botfly ***,the interaction between the number of siblings and hatching order influenced nestling growth,indicating that the first and second nestlings had disproportionately higher growth rates in large than in small *** of breeding also showed a strong positive indirect effect on botfly occurrence,as well as a weak direct positive effect on nestling *** results demonstrate that,under natural conditions,nestling growth is driven by different factors acting not only directly,but also indirectly on this essential life history trait,and that these factors weave a complex web of interrelated variables.

How Users Perceive Infrastructure Development Affects Their Transport Mode Choice

Transport infrastructure development and perception vary across and within countries, influencing mode choice among road users. This study explores how road users perceive the development of infrastructure modes, service attributes, embedded safety levels, and commuting modes. Additionally, the research examines whether participants’ environmental backgrounds impact their mode choice patterns. The study gathered responses from 1169 participants residing in two regions of Amman, Jordan, each with distinct infrastructure development and population densities. Participants completed a standardized questionnaire, and several statistical techniques were employed for analysis. The findings revealed that facilities’ infrastructure attributes, development, and safety were assessed using three indices. Both participant groups perceived these indices differently on average. Residents of low population density areas with relatively developed infrastructure showed more consistent assessments, irrespective of their most frequently used mode of transportation, tending towards lower scores. Interestingly, subjective ratings of infrastructure development were higher (4.96) than attribute-based ratings (4.32). Despite their generally low-quality perception, public transportation services received the highest appraisal (4.9). Conversely, pedestrian infrastructure complementing public transport received the lowest assessment (4.57), only slightly higher than street environments (4.59). The study found weak associations between subjective service characteristics ratings. Traveler and trip characteristics influenced mode choice and trips more than infrastructure perception. In conclusion, the study suggests that policies should be developed to encourage green transportation, ensure social equality and safety.
