The whole-genome sequencing projects have revealed that the microbial secondary metabolome is far richer than once thought,even in actinomycetes,which are responsible for the production of nearly 70%of known microbial natural *** the past decade,by taking advantage of genomic sequencing and the development of new strategies,various cryptic（or orphan）pathways have been *** lz35 was isolated from the intertidal soil collected at Jimei,Xiamen,*** 16S r RNA gene sequencing（Gen Bank:JX853780）was performed to characterize it as streptomyces sp.,and designated *** sequence analysis of streptomyces ***35 has revealed a large number of secondary metabolite pathways,including type I polyketide synthase（PKS）,type II PKS,nonribosomal peptide synthetase（NRPS）,hybrid NRPS/PKS,terpenoid,siderophore gene *** this study,we have constructed several mutants of strain lz35,which facilitated the analysis and isolation of the minor *** far,sixteen different types,sixty-three compounds,including thirty-eight new ones,have been isolated from different mutants of strain *** biological activities of these new compounds,such as new hygrocin derivatives,neoansmycins and p-terphenyl derivatives,were tested.
