Optimization and coordination of South-to-North Water Diversion supply chain with strategic customer behavior

The South-to-North Water Diversion （SNWD） Project is a significant engineering project meant to solve water shortage problems in North China. Faced with market operations management of the water diversion system, this study defined the supply chain system for the SNWD Project, considering the actual project conditions, built a decentralized decision model and a centralized decision model with strategic customer behavior （SCB） using a floating pricing mechanism （FPM）, and constructed a coordination mechanism via a revenue-sharing contract. The results suggest the following：（1） owing to water shortage supplements and the excess water sale policy provided by the FPM, the optimal ordering quantity of water resources is less than that without the FPM, and the optimal profits of the whole supply chain, supplier, and external distributor are higher than they would be without the FPM; （2） wholesale pricing and supplementary wholesale pricing with SCB are higher than those without SCB, and the optimal profits of the whole supply chain, supplier, and external distributor are higher than they would be without SCB; and （3） considering SCB and introducing the FPM help increase the optimal profits of the whole supply chain, supplier, and external distributor, and improve the efficiency of water resources usage.

Pricing Strategy and Governments Intervention for Green Supply Chain with strategic customer behavior

This paper researches the pricing strategy and government intervention mechanism for green supply chain in monopoly market, while considering strategic customer behavior. According to optimization theory, it establishes the target functions of retailer and strategic customers and investigates the interactions between retailer and strategic customers in accordance with Stackelberg’s game theory, so as to confirm the optimal discount level for green products. In addition, it discusses the regulatory effect of government intervention, including the guiding price and fiscal subsides, on the sales of green products. The research shows that the retailer can make the profit maximization by adjusting the discount level; the governments can regulate the sales of products by implementing the guiding price and fiscal subsides to the retailer.

The newsvendor problem is a fundamental building block for inventory management with a stochastic *** classic newsvendor problem focuses on maximizing the expected profit or minimizing the expected cost when she faces myopic ***,it ignores the customer’s bargain-hunting behavior and risk preference measure of *** a result,we carry out the rational expectation （RE） equilibrium analysis for risk-averse newsvendor facing forward-looking customers who anticipate future sales and choose purchasing timing to maximize their expected *** propose the equilibrium price and quantity for the case where demand follows the uniform distribution and utility is power *** identify the impact the system parameters on the RE equilibrium decisions for this specific situation.
