We investigate the squeezed back-to-back correlations（BBC） of K+K-, caused by the mass modification of particles in the dense medium formed in d + Au collisions at sNN1/2= 200 GeV and Au + Au collisions at sNN1/2= 62.4 GeV. Considering that some kaons may not be affected by the medium, we further study the BBC functions of K+K-when parts of all kaons have a mass-shift. Our results indicate that the BBC functions of K+K-can be observed when only ～10% of all kaons have a mass-shift in d + Au collisions at sNN1/2 = 200 GeV and the peripheral collisions of Au + Au at sNN1/2= 62.4 GeV. Since the BBC function is caused by the mass-shift due to the interactions between the particle and the medium, the successful detection of the BBC function indirectly marks that the dense medium has formed in these collision systems. We suggest the experimental measurement of the BBC function of K+K- in d + Au collisions at sNN1/2 = 200 GeV and peripheral collisions of Au + Au at sNN1/2 = 62.4 GeV.

Using the thermal-entangled state representation and the operator-ordering method, we investigate Wigner function(WF) for the squeezed negative binomial state(SNBS) and the analytical evolution law of density operator in the amplitude decay *** results show that the analytical WF is related to the square of the module of single-variable Hermite polynomials, which leads to a new two-variable special function and its generating function, and the parameters s and γplay opposite roles in the WF ***, after undergoing this channel, the initial pure SNBS evolves into a new mixed state related to two operator Hermite polynomials within normal ordering, and fully loses its nonclassicality and decays to vacuum at long decay time.

We propose a scheme for generating entangled squeezed vacuum states of electromagnetical fields. The scheme is based on cavity QED. In this scheme, an atom interacts, successively, with a classical field, two quantum cavity fields, and another classical field. By detecting the final states of the atom, the two quantum cavity fields will be projected to an entangled state.

Polarization squeezed light plays a key role in quantum memory by transferring quantum information between atoms and photons [1], and has potential applications in quantum precision measurement [2]. For polarization squeezed light, the quantum variance of at least one Stokes operator is smaller than that of the coherent *** with the quadrature squeezed state, polarization squeezed light has the following advantages: one is that it is a bright beam, and the other is that it can be measured directly without using a local oscillator.

We construct the generalized squeezed vacuum state by virtue of the entangled state 〈η| [Fan Hongyi and J.R. Klauder, Phys. Rev. A47 (1994) 777] and derive the quantum fluctuation of the two-mode quadrature *** then calculate Wigner functions of the two-mode squeezed number states and generalized squeezing vacuum state in literature before.

We discuss the entanglement swapping of two pairs of displaced two-mode squeezed states and find that the squeezing parameter of the outcoming squeezed state is less than that of the originM squeezed states. The calculation is greatly simplified by virtue of the natural expression of the two-mode squeezing operator in EPR eigenstate representation. A protocol for such entanglement swapping is proposed.

A type of special two-mode squeezed coherent state is constructed which is a characteristic of squeezing and displacing related. The new states take simpler and neater form than the usual two-mode squeezed coherent states, and also possess a completeness relation. It is expected that experimentalists woking on quantum optics should fabricate such a type of squeezed coherent optical field.
