The employment of N-hydroxy-pyridine-2-carboxamidine in the coordination chemistry of zinc（II）, nickel（II） and manganese（II） under solvothermal conditions is reported. Four complexes of compositions, [Zn2（O2CMe）3{（py）C（NH2）NOH}4]（OH）（1）, [Zn4（OH）2{（py）C（NH2）- NO}4CI2]＇3MeCN （2）, [Ni（SO4）（H20）{（py）C（NH2）NOH}2]＇H2O （3） and [Mn（SO4）{（py）C（NH2）- NOH}2]n （4）, have been synthesized by rationally choosing different metal salts and dexterously employing acetate and sulfate ions as the bridging groups. Luminescent properties for 2 suggested strong emission in the solid state at room temperature. Variable temperature （2.0-300 K） magnetic studies for the linear chain complex 4 indicate weak antiferromagnetic Mn（Ⅱ）...Mn（Ⅱ） exchange interactions.

A new CoⅡ coordination complex, namely [Co（iba）（N3）]n, was prepared by the hydrothermal reaction of Co（NO3）2·6H2O with Na N3 in the presence of 4-imidazol-1-yl-benzoic acid（Hiba）. Compound 1 crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 6.782（2）, b = 19.93（5）, c = 15.96（4） A, V = 2157.2（3） A3, Z = 8, C10H7O2N5 Co, Mr = 228.14, Dc = 1.774 g/cm^3, F（000） = 1160, μ（Mo Kα） = 1.592 mm-1. The final R and w R are 0.0706 and 0.1990 for 1160 observed reflections with I 2σ（I）. Each iba- coordinates in a bidentate fashion with two CoⅡ ions and every two adjacent CoⅡ ions were connected by one azido ion to form a 3D two-fold interpenetrating framework. Thermogravimeteric analysis（TGA） of compound 1 reveals that the loss of moiety of azido ion occurs from 200 oC to about 260 oC and the framework begins to decompose above 300 oC. The magnetic property investigation of compound 1 demonstrates that it displays ferromagnetic coupling between CoⅡ ions.

Two novel compounds, {[Cd（nbdc）（bpp）（H2O）]·H2O}n 1 and {[Cd（nbdc）（dpds）-（H2O）]·H2O}n 2（H2nbdc = 4-nitro-1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, bpp = 1,3-bis（4-pyridyl）propane and dpds = 4,4ˊ-dipyridyldisulfide）, were solvothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）, fluorescent analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 14.4370（17）, b = 8.4090（10）, c = 19.168（2） , β = 104.5050（10）°, V = 2252.8（5） 3, Dc = 1.639 g/cm3, Mr = 555.81, Z = 4, F（000） = 1120, μ = 1.022 mm-1, the final R = 0.0269 and wR = 0.0599 for 16656 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. 2 is isostructural to 1 with a = 14.4175（11）, b = 8.4737（7）, c = 18.0120（14） , β = 106.7220（10）°, V = 2107.5（3）3, Dc = 1.821 g/cm3, Mr = 577.85, Z = 4, F（000） = 1152, μ = 1.287 mm-1, the final R = 0.0280 and wR = 0.0705 for 15136 observed reflections with I〉 2σ（I）. Both complexes present intimately related structures featuring infinite Cd-carboxylate helix of [CdⅡ（nbdc）（H2O）]n connected by bpp（or dpds） molecule to produce the 2D layer frameworks.

The 1,5-disubstituted thiocarbohydrazide ligands were prepared by the condensation of thiocarbohydrazide with salicylaldehyde and 5-methylsalicylaldehyde, respectively. The butyltin complexes,[(5-R-2-hydroxy)ArCH=NNH]2 CS(n-BuSnCl)2, R = H(T1);R = Me(T2), based on the1,5-disubstituted thiocarbohydrazide were obtained by microwave-assisted solvothermal reaction of n-butyltintrichloride precursor with the ligands in methanol environments, which have been structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR and(1 H, 13 C) NMR spectra. The crystals belong to monoclinic system, space groups C2/c(T1) and Pc(T2), respectively. The Sn atom is six-coordinated with distorted octahedral geometry by O, N and S atoms from ligand, C atom of butyl and two Cl atoms. In the crystal, complex T1 forms three-dimensional supramolecular assembly mediated by noncovalent interactions such as C–H···Cl and π-stacking interactions.Similarly, T2 forms an interesting two-dimensional supramolecular structure by noncovalent interactions(e.g. C–H×××Cl and N–H×××Cl) of one-dimensional band-like chain. These ligands and its butyltin complexes have growth effect on the target plants, such as Portulaca oleracea L.,Amaranthus spinosus L., Cassia tora L., Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis var. utilis Tsen et Lee and Amaranthus tricolor L. The ligand L1 has a good inhibitory effect on the growth of Cassia tora L., and complex T2 has selective inhibition on the growth of Portulaca oleracea L. and Amaranthus tricolor L., which can be used as a candidate compound for Cassia tora L., Portulaca oleracea L.and Amaranthus tricolor L. herbicide.

Using n-propylamine as a template,deioned water and secondary-butanol(butan-2-ol)as solvents,a three-dimensional(3D)open-framework aluminophosphate[C3NH10]·[HAl3P3O13](1)and a two-dimensional layered aluminophosphate[C3NH10]3·[Al3P4O16](2)were crystallized from the initial mixtures with compositions of Al2O3:2.4 P2O5:5.0 n-propylamine:100 H2O/butan-2-ol,respectively.They are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(TG),and elemental(CHN)analyses and structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=0.85831(13)nm,b=1.7677(3)nm,c=1.04353(12)nm,=123.887(9)°,and V=1.3143(3)nm3.Compound 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a=1.1313(2)nm,b=1.4874(3)nm,c=1.8020(6)nm,=125.07(2)°,and V=2.4817(11)nm3.The results show that the properties of solvent have a significant influence on the structure-directing effect of n-propylamine in the crystallization of the open-framework aluminophosphates.

A series of polymeric oxyhaloplumbates[Pb3 I2(μ4-O)L]n(1,H2L=ethylene glycol)and[Pb8 M(μ3-O)2 X8(XH)L3]n{X=Br,M=Mn(2 a),Co(2 b);X=I,M=Mn(2 c),Co(2 d)}have been synthesized under solvothermal conditions and structurally characterized.1 consists of an infinite[Pb3 I2(μ4-O)L]n ribbon built up through the linkage of[PbI2]units and[Pb2(μ4-O)L]n chains to give a new type of 1-D oxoiodoplumbate[Pb3 I2(μ4-O)L]n decorated by deprotonated ethylene glycols.2 a^d are isostructural and exhibit 3-D heterometallic frameworks constructed by the combination of infinite[Pb2 X9]chains and heptanuclear heterometallic[Pb6 M(μ3-O)2 L3]clusters.The present oxohaloplumbates exhibit wide-band-gap semiconducting properties with absorption band edges in the range of 2.21~2.71 eV.The magnetic properties of 2 a^d have also been studied.

Three lanthanide coordination polymers [Ln（bcpb）0.5（NO3）（DEF）2] （Ln = Y （1）, Tb （2）, Eu （3）, H4bcpb = 2,5-bis（2,4-dicarboxyphenyl） pyridine and DEF = N,N-diethylformamide）） have been solvothermally synthesized under hydrothermal conditions with a novel Hnbcpb ligand and trivalent lanthanide nitrates. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that compounds 1-3 are isostructural and crystallize in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n. Crystal data for 1： C20H26N409Y, Mr = 555.36, a = 13.022（9）, b = 17.778（12）, c = 10.861（8） A, β= 100.208（3）°, V = 2475（3） A3, Z = 4; Crystal data for 2： C20H26N4OgTb, Mr = 625.37, a = 13.0476（4）, b = 17.8037（7）, c = 10.9398（3） A, β = 100.008（4）°, V = 2496.4（12） A3, Z = 4; Crystal data for 3： C20H26N409Eu, Mr = 618.41, a = 13.055（4）, b = 17.833（5）, c = 10.893（3）A, β = 100.133（4）°, V= 2496.4（12） A3, Z = 4. The compounds were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis （TGA）, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Compounds 1-3 all feature 2D networks with -ABAB- fashions. The luminescent properties of compounds 1-3 and free H4bcpb ligand were investigated at room temperature. The results show that the H4bcpb ligand can efficiently transfer energy to the Tb（III） ions, while the energy is not fully transferred from the H4bcpb ligand to the Eu（III） ions.

A new Cu(II) coordination polymer, {[Cu(1,3-BIP)(TFBDC)]·DMF}n(1,1,3-BIP is a 1,3-bis(imidazole)propane, and H2TFBDC is 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoroterephthalic acid) was prepared under solvothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analyses and elemental analyses. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that metal coordination polymer 1(MCP 1) shows a two-dimensional sheet layer structure, which is further reinforced through strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding to form a 3 D supramolecular framework. Furthermore, the photocatalytic experiment result indicates the degradation ratios of methyl orange(MO) reach 83.4% within 180 minutes when MCP 1 acts as catalyst.

A cobalt（II） coordination polymer, [Co（dimto）2（H2O）2]·4H2O[1, dimto=4,6-di（1-imidazolyl）-1,3,5- triazine-2-one], has been prepared under solvothermal condition. Single-crystal structural analysis reveals that compound 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibca（No.73） with a=1.80696（12） nm, b=1.93224（11） nm, c=1.36798（10） nm, V=4.7763（5） nm3 and R1=0.0438. Compound 1 is a 3D supramolecular architecture composed of 1D wave-like chains with hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. Compound 1 was further characterized by powder X-ray diffraction（PXRD）, infrared（IR） spectroscopy, thermogravimertic analysis（TG） and elemental analysis. Additionally, the magnetic property of compound 1 was also investigated.

A one-dimensional chain aluminophosphate C1.5H7.5N1.5Al0.5PO4 containing diprotonated racemic 1, 2-diaminopropane cations was synthesized from an alcoholic system. The compound consists of infinite inorganic [AlP2O8] chains of alternately connected AlO4 and PO2(=O)2 tetrahedral units and the racemic template molecules. The macroanionic chains contain corner-shared double four-membered rings.
