In the early twentieth century, Marxism was propagated into Vietnam through patriotic intellectuals. After the propagation into Vietnam, Marxism not only influenced national liberation movements, but also profoundly affected scholars, particularly scholars of social science. In fact, many of well-known Vietnamese scholars have relied on Marxism’s theory of social existence and social consciousness, infrastructure and superstructure, practical concept, concept of class struggle, etc. to comment on poetry, history, language, geography, philosophy, etc. In other words, the scholars have applied Marxist methodology to explore and study cultural and social life in Vietnam; and in that way, a generation of Marxist researchers in the field of social sciences has been formed. After the renovation of the country, the Government of Vietnam has implemented its policy of openness and international integration, and scholars have been therefore able to receive many other Western ideals and cultures, and the Marxist methodology was not the only one used in social science research. Consequently, some people expressed their skepticism about the role of Marxist methodology in academic research in Vietnam, even completely denied the historical significance of Marxist methodology to the academia in Vietnam. This article is intended, through Vietnamese Marxist scholars, especially the ones in the field of social sciences prior to 1986 （i.e., prior to the renovation of the country） to demonstrate the historical significance of the Marxist methodology to the Vietnamese academia. It is clear that the penetration of the Marxism and the Marxist methodology into Vietnam have created a revolution in the field of academic research （primarily in the field of social science）. Game theory is a tool for making decision for all scientists which it can predict the future. So many times, not only in professional life but in private life game theory can help people to make best decision. What make this article different with other game theory article is that it has written for arts science which they are not so much fluent in maths. The object of this article is to demonstrate the possibilities of game theory as an instrument for study of social science. The approach used to describe elementary games theoretic models as an integral part of social science with a collection of example to understand subject better. This paper addresses to theoreticians and practitioners of social science not particularly versed in game theory, rather than to those who are fluent in its mathematical language and intricacies.

In trying to explain why Hong Kong of China ranks highest in life expectancy in the world,we review what various experts are hypothesizing,and how data science methods may be used to provide more evidence-based *** more data become available,we find some data analysis studies were too simplistic,while others too overwhelming in answering this challenging *** find the approach that analyzes life expectancy related data(mortality causes and rate for different cohorts)inspiring,and use this approach to study a carefully selected set of targets for *** discussing the factors that matter,we argue that it is more reasonable to try to identify a set of factors that together explain the phenomenon.

Quick response research conducted by social scientists in the aftermath of a disaster can reveal important findings about hazards and their impacts on *** to collect perishable data,or data that will change or be lost over time,immediately following disaster has been supported for decades by two programs in the United States,amassing a collection of quick response studies and an associated research *** culture is currently being challenged to better address power imbalances between researchers and disaster-affected *** recently,Canada has not had a quick response grant *** order to survey the state of knowledge and draw from it in helping to shape the new program in Canada,this article systematically analyzes the body of research created by the two US *** results reveal a wide-ranging literature:the studies are theoretically,conceptually,topically,and methodologically quite unique to one *** diversity might appropriately reflect the nature of disasters,but the finding that many studies are not building on previous quick response research and other in sights indicate opportunities for how a new grant program in Canada can contribute to growing a robust subdiscipline of disaster research.

OpenStreetMap(OSM)has seen an exponential increase in the last few years and large volumes of geodata have been received from volunteered *** collected geodata are heterogeneous in terms of different dimensions such as spatial patterns of contributions,quality,patterns of contributing individuals,and type of *** contributors’personal information is anonymously stored by the OSM administrators,alternative methods are needed to investigate the role of contributors’characteristics on their mapping *** study is intended to explore the potential socio-economic characteristics of contributors in highly contributed areas to have better insights about the latent patterns of involved individuals in a highly dynamic state of the most active country in OSM,Germany.A logistic regression model(LRM)is applied to discover the potential correlations between dependent and independent *** findings explain that the areas with high population density,middle level of education,high income,high rate of overnight stays,high number of foreigners,and residents aged from 18 to 69 are more likely to be involved in ***,the degree of dynamism in OSM is a function of proximity to built-up ***,concluding remarks concerning the independent variables and model sensitivity are presented.

Background:The threat of a rapidly changing planet-of coupled social,environmental and climatic change-pose new conceptual and practical challenges in responding to vector-borne *** include non-linear and uncertain spatial-temporal change dynamics associated with climate,animals,land,water,food,settlement,conflict,ecology and human socio-cultural,economic and political-institutional *** date,research efforts have been dominated by disease modeling,which has provided limited practical advice to policymakers and practitioners in developing policies and programmes on the *** body:In this paper,we provide an alternative biosocial perspective grounded in social science insights,drawing upon concepts of vulnerability,resilience,participation and community-based *** analysis was informed by a realist review(provided in the Additional file 2)focused on seven major climate-sensitive vectorborne diseases:malaria,schistosomiasis,dengue,leishmaniasis,sleeping sickness,chagas disease,and rift valley ***,we situate our analysis of existing community-based interventions within the context of global change processes and the wider social science *** identify and discuss best practices and conceptual principles that should guide future community-based efforts to mitigate human vulnerability to vector-borne *** argue that more focused attention and investments are needed in meaningful public participation,appropriate technologies,the strengthening of health systems,sustainable development,wider institutional changes and attention to the social determinants of health,including the drivers of ***:In order to respond effectively to uncertain future scenarios for vector-borne disease in a changing world,more attention needs to be given to building resilient and equitable systems in the present.
