Interior light environment modeling and personnel distributions are the keys to the smart lighting decision-based control to provide energy-saving,efficient,and comfortable lighting in *** the premise of comprehensive utilization of daylight and light,this paper proposes a smart lighting decision strategy using personnel *** this strategy,a Back Propagation Neural Network-Radial Basis Function Neural Network（BPNN-RBFNN） based on an innovative multiple neural networks（MNN） combination method combines mechanism and data to conduct hybrid modeling of the interior light *** simulation experiment results show that the hybrid modeling method can effectively reduce the modeling complexity and the interior light environment illumination calculation model can be applied to other indoor light environment conditions within a certain *** MNN combination method can effectively improve the prediction accuracy and stability of *** to the personnel clustering sub-areas divided by the density-based mean shift algorithm and the personnel’s minimum lighting requirements,smart lighting decision strategy using personnel distributions strategy searches for the optimal lighting combination to control the switch of the *** strategy provides targeted lighting for personnel clustering sub-areas to achieve lighting energy saving.

smart lighting system using ANN-IMC for personalized lighting control and daylight harvesting

lighting contributes a significant portion to the overall energy consumption in an office building. It is thus important to reduce the energy consumption of lighting systems especially for Net Zero Energy Buildings( NZEB). Maximizing daylight harvesting can significantly increase the energy savings. With increase in demand for satisfying occupant preferences in visual comfort,the need for personalized lighting in the office space is also rising. In this paper,a novel lighting control system for Net Zero Energy Buildings( NZEB) is proposed which models the lighting system using Artificial Neural Netw ork( ANN) and utili-zes this model with the Internal Model Control( IMC) principle for controller design. Modeling the lighting system using ANN reduces the challenge of modeling a large and complex system with inherent process variability without the need to analyze extensive data-sets. The proposed ANN-IMC controller uses feedback from sensors on the task table to maintain desired illuminance,is easy to tune with just one parameter and is robust to process variability. The proposed control design is applicable to square systems where the number of lights and number of sensors are equal. How ever,the proposed architecture can also be extended for controlling other lighting accessories such as roller blinds. The performance of the proposed lighting control system to harvest the daylight effectively is demonstrated using both simulation results and an experimental setup in test-bed environment. The versatility of the proposed system will allow an operator to deploy personalized lighting in an office space.

Automated smart Utilization of Background Lights and Daylight for Green Building Efficient and Economic Indoor lighting Intensity Control

The ways which are used today in order to light houses, offices, and most of the indoor areas are inefficient as a lot of energy is consumed unnecessarily during the day time. Mainly this problem because the interior lighting design consider the worst case when the light service is at night, which is not always valid. Also in most cases the lighting system design relies on people to control the lights switching on and off. This problem is also one of the design concerns in Green Building. In this paper, a solution to this problem and a method for people’s comfort who use the indoor facilities in industrial buildings is presented. In the proposed smart lighting system, lights switch on automatically when there is somebody in the room or in the occupied space and switch off when there is no occupancy. In addition to this known technique, adjustment of the brightness level of the lights will be possible via the personal computer or any other smart device. In this method, for the illumination level in the area, where is needed to be controlled for better energy saving, the light automatically is measured by the sensor and considering the amount of background lights coming from outside, automatically the brightness of lights is controlled to reach the preset level that determined for that room.
