The microscopic stripe pillar is one of the most frequently adopted building blocks for hydrophobic substrates. However, at high temperatures the particles on the droplet surface readily evaporate and re-condense on the pillar sidewall,which makes the droplet highly unstable and undermines the overall hydrophobic performance of the pillar. In this work,molecular dynamics(MD) simulation of the Simple liquid at a single stripe pillar edge defect is performed to characterize the droplet's critical wetting properties considering the evaporation–condensation effect. From the simulation results, the droplets slide down from the edge defect with a volume smaller than the critical value, which is attributed to the existence of the wetting layer on the stripe pillar sidewall. Besides, the analytical study of the pillar sidewall and wetting layer potential field distribution manifests the relation between the simulation parameters and the degree of the droplet pre-wetting, which agrees well with the MD simulation results.

Persons with diabetes who require surgical procedures are increasing day by day.Many of the regimens available to manage patients with diabetes perioperatively are complex.Hence,the junior doctors and the paramedics(Primary care providers on a 24/7 basis)find it difficult to execute them.We need a Simple regimen that can be executed in a primary care setting/general floor as it is becoming difficult to accommodate the patients in a sophisticated setting because of the increasing burden of the disease.We suggest a Simple regimen in this article(Ram’s regimen)which we believe safer,economical and more effective than few Simple regimens available to date.Moreover,this regimen does not require any additional equipment such as syringe pumps,measured-volume set,etc.Hence,this regimen can be implemented in a primary care setting/general floor easily and we hope that it will be useful for doctors of various specialties and their patients.

We demonstrate a Simple and fast post-deposition treatment with high process compatibility on the hole transport material(HTM) Spiro-MeOTAD in vapor-assisted solution processed methylammonium lead triiodide(CH_3NH_3PbI_3)-based solar cells. The prepared Co-doped p-type Spiro-MeOTAD films are treated by O_3 at room temperature for 5 min,10 min, and 20 min, respectively, prior to the deposition of the metal electrodes. Compared with the traditional oxidation of Spiro-MeOTAD films overnight in dry air, our fast O_3 treatment of HTM at room temperature only needs just 10 min,and a relative 40.3% increment in the power conversion efficiency is observed with respect to the result of without-treated perovskite solar cells. This improvement of efficiency is mainly attributed to the obvious increase of the fill factor and short-circuit current density, despite a slight decrease in the open-circuit voltage. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS) and Hall effect measurement method are employed in our study to determine the changes of properties after O_3 treatment in HTM. It is found that after the HTM is exposed to O_3, its p-type doping level is enhanced. The enhancement of conductivity and Hall mobility of the film, resulting from the improvement in p-doping level of HTM, leads to better performances of perovskite solar cells. Best power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) of 13.05% and 16.39% are achieved with most properly optimized HTM via CH_3NH_3I vapor-assisted method and traditional single-step method respectively.

We investigate the effects of the initial-slip term by studying the dissipation-induced transition probabilities between any two eigenstates of a Simple harmonic oscillator. The general analytical expressions for the transition probabilities are obtained, then the special cases of transition probabilities ignoring the Brownian motion from the ground state to the first few excited states are discussed. It is found that the initial-slip term not only makes the forbidden transitions between states of different parity possible but also lifts the initial value of the transition probabilities.

A Simple approach for the estimation of CO_2 penetration depth into a caprock layer

Caprock is a water-saturated formation with a sufficient entry capillary pressure to prevent the upward migration of a buoyant fluid. When the entry capillary pressure of caprock is smaller than the pressure exerted by the buoyant CO_2 plume, CO_2 gradually penetrates into the caprock. The CO_2 penetration depth into a caprock layer can be used to measure the caprock sealing efficiency and becomes the key issue to the assessment of caprock sealing efficiency. On the other hand, our numerical simulations on a caprock layer have revealed that a square root law for time and pore pressure exists for the CO_2 penetration into the caprock layer. Based on this finding, this study proposes a Simple approach to estimate the CO_2 penetration depth into a caprock layer. This Simple approach is initially developed to consider the speed of CO_2 invading front. It explicitly expresses the penetration depth with pressuring time, pressure difference and pressure magnitude. This Simple approach is then used to fit three sets of experimental data and good fittings are observed regardless of pressures, strengths of porous media, and pore fluids(water,hydrochloric acid, and carbonic acid). Finally, theoretical analyses are conducted to explore those factors affecting CO_2 penetration depth. The effects of capillary pressure, gas sorption induced swelling, and fluid property are then included in this Simple approach. These results show that this Simple approach can predict the penetration depth into a caprock layer with sufficient accuracy, even if complicated interactions in penetration process are not explicitly expressed in this Simple formula.

AIM:To evaluate and report the efficacy of combined surgical excision and corneal tattooing in patients with limbal dermoids.·METHODS:In a retrospective interventional case series,9 eyes of 8 patients were treated with combined surgery of Simple keratectomy and corneal tattooing for limbal dermoids.Medical records,including best-corrected visual acuity,anterior segment photography,demographic,clinical data,and follow-up information were reviewed.·RESULTS:The mean follow up period in this study was 50±15(range 36-77) months.There was no evidence of infection or recurrent limbal dermoids in any of the eyes during the follow-up period.All patients achieved good cosmetic outcomes with no complications.·CONCLUSION:Simple keratectomy and corneal tattooing of limbal dermoids could be an alternative option for surgery,especially when a donor cornea is not available.

AIM: To evaluate the management, clinical outcome and cost implications of three different treatment regimes for Simple elbow dislocations.METHODS: Following institutional board approval, we performed a retrospective review of all consecutive patients treated for Simple elbow dislocations in a Level Ⅰ trauma centre between January 2008 and December 2010. Based on the length of elbow immobilisation(LOI), patients were divided in three groups(Group I, 3 wk). Outcome was considered satisfactory when a patient could achieve a pain-free range of motion ≥ 100°(from 30° to 130°). The associated direct medical costs for the treatment of each patient were then calculated and analysed.RESULTS: We identified 80 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Due to loss to follow up, 13 patients were excluded from further analysis, leaving 67 patients for the final analysis. The mean LOI was 14 d(median 15 d; range 3-43 d) with a mean duration of hospital engagement of 67 d(median 57 d; range 10-351 d). Group Ⅲ(prolonged immobilisation) had a statistically significant worse outcome in comparison to Group Ⅰ?and Ⅱ(P = 0.04 and P = 0.01 respectively); however, there was no significant difference in the outcome between groups Ⅰ?and Ⅱ(P = 0.30). No statistically significantdifference in the direct medical costs between the groups was identified.CONCLUSION: The length of elbow immobilization doesn't influence the medical cost; however immobilisation longer than three weeks is associated with persistent stiffness and a less satisfactory clinical outcome.

针对Simple系列算法,通过分别求解控制容积界面和节点两个位置的对流-扩散方程来提高数值计算精度,提出了一种流动与传热数值模拟的新方法。采用新的数值方法对顶盖驱动流与正方腔自然对流进行了数值模拟。数值模拟结果表明,在相同网格划分时,新的数值方法相对迎风格式、乘方格式、QUICK格式SIMLE算法的计算精度高;而在计算精度基本相同时,新方法有较高的计算效率。

随着互联网和电信业的迅猛发展,即时通信业务的应用越来越广泛,成为人们生活中不可或缺的网络业务。但是目前主流即时通信系统多采用各自的私有协议,系统之间不能实现相互通信,影响用户使用和阻碍即时通信的进一步发展。IETF早在1998年就致力于即时通信协议的标准化工作,目前开发出非常优秀且应用较广泛的XMPP和Simple协议,XMPP是基于XML文档,而Simple是基于SIP协议。SIP协议是IETF制定的应用层信令控制协议,SIP被广泛应用在VoIP领域,并且被确立为NGN的核心控制协议,目前基于SIP的终端非常多,但功能仅限于音频、视频和文本短消息,并不能支持呈现和复杂的消息功能。Simple是SIP协议对呈现和即时消息业务的扩展,呈现是即时通信的典型业务,允许用户发布自己的状态信息,订阅他人的状态信息,并在状态信息发生变化时通知订阅者。呈现和即时消息也是IMS两大重要业务,并且遵循Simple协议。随着IMS逐渐成熟,Simple的发展也越来越成熟,特别是在详细的用户状态、订阅授权、用户状态访问控制以及会话模式的即时消息方面。可以预见,Simple的应用将更加的广泛,基于Simple的实现甚至将成为下一代通信网络的基础设施。本文首先分别对SIP和Simple协议进行研究,包括SIP元素、SIP系统组成、SIP消息、事件通知机制、事件发布机制、呈现和即时消息模型、消息模式、呈现业务文档、XCAP、MSRP等。之后,论文设计和实现了一种基于SIP/Simple协议的即时通信终端,该终端框架被设计为三层,分别是协议层、数据和核心业务层以及UI层。其中,协议层完成了XCAP协议的实现和PJSIP协议栈的封装;数据和核心业务层完成登录、注销、呈现、即时消息、授权处理、好友管理、会话管理等模块以及XML文档的解析;UI层完成界面的绘制和逻辑控制,其重点是好友列表和会话窗口。最后,论文采用基于Qt的跨平台编程技术实现了上述即时通信终端,并通过搭建的测试环境,对终端进行了功能测试。测试表明,终端实现了设计的功能并且遵从设计的消息流程。
