Cascade model for continuous prediction of silicon content of molten iron with coupled state variable nodes

With the goal of achieving advanced and multi-step prediction of silicon content of molten iron in the blast furnace ironmaking process,a path adaptive optimization seeking strategy coupled with simulated annealing algorithm and genetic algorithm was proposed from the perspective of innovative intelligent algorithm *** was further coupled with wavelet neural network algorithm to deeply explore the nonlinear and strong coupling relationship between the information of big data samples and construct a cascade model for continuous prediction of silicon content of molten iron with the intelligent research results of state variables such as permeability index as the node and silicon content forecast as the *** the model construction process,the 3r criterion was used for non-anomaly estimation of abnormal data to build a time-aligned sample set for multi-step forecasting of iron content,the normalization method was used to eliminate the influence of dimensionality of sample information,and the spearman correlation analysis algorithm was used to eliminate the time delay between state variables,control variables,and silicon content of molten iron in the blast furnace smelting *** results show that permeability and theoretical combustion temperature as the key state variable nodes have real-time correlation with the silicon content of molten iron,and there are accurate forecasting results on the optimal path with the endpoint of molten iron silicon content *** path finding based on the improved genetic algorithm of simulated annealing has good effect on the downscaling and depth characterization of sample data and improves the data ecology for the application of wavelet neural network *** accuracy of the real-time continuous forecasting model for the silicon content of molten iron reaches 95.24%;the hit rate of continuous forecasting one step ahead reaches 91.16%,and the hit rate of continuous forecasting five steps ahead is 87.41

Influence of Mold Preheating and silicon content on Microstructure and Casting Properties of Ductile Iron in Permanent Mold

The effects of the mold preheating and the silicon content of ductile iron on the percentage of carbides,graphite nodule counts and shrinkage volume were *** results showed that the percentage of carbides and the shrinkage volume decreased when the mold preheating *** ductile iron with the carbon equivalent of 4.45 % and the silicon content of 2.5% without any porosity defects was achieved when the mold preheating was 450 ℃.Increasing the silicon content in the range of 2.1%-3.3% led to the increase in graphite nodule count and graphite size and the decrease in percentage of *** is due to the increase in induced expansion pressure during the graphite formation with the increasing of silicon *** suitable condition for casting a sound product of ductile iron without the riser at the mold preheating temperature of 300 ℃ is the silicon content of 3.3% and carbon equivalent of 4.7%.

An Improved Artificial Neural Network Model for Predicting silicon content of Blast Furnace Hot Metal

Based on the skills of initializing weight distribution, adding an impulse in a neural network and expanding the ideal of plural weights, an artificial neural network model with three connection weights between one and another neural unit was established to predict silicon content of blast furnace hot metal. After the neural network was trained in the off-line state on the basis of a large number of practical data of a commercial blast furnace and making many learning patterns, satisfactory testing and simulating results of the model were obtained.

Fuzzy Prediction of silicon content for BF Hot Metal

Some key operation variables influencing hot metal silicon content were selected, and time lag of each of them was obtained. A standardized fuzzy system model was developed to approach the random nonlinear dynamic system of the change of silicon content, forecast the change of silicon content and calculate silicon content. The prediction of hot metal silicon content is very successful with the data collected online from BF No. 1 at Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Co.

Chaotic Identification and Prediction of silicon content in Hot Metal

The time series data of silicon content in hot metal were identified to have the chaotic feature because of the positive maximum Lyapunov exponent, and then the time scales to predict future were estimated. Finally a chaotic local-region model was constructed to predict silicon content in hot metal with good performance due to high hitting rate.

Effects of silicon content on microstructure and stress corrosion cracking resistance of 7050 aluminum alloy

Evolution of microstructure and stress corrosion cracking （SCC） susceptibility of 7050 aluminum alloy with 0.094%, 0.134% and 0.261% Si （mass fraction） in T7651 condition have been investigated. The results show that the area fraction of Mg2Si increases from 0.16% to 1,48% and the size becomes coarser, while the area fraction of the other coarse phases including Al2CuMg, Mg（Al,Cu,Zn）2 and A17Cu2Fe decreases from 2.42% to 0.78% with Si content increasing from 0.094% to 0.261%. The tensile strength and elongation of 7050-T7651 alloys is decreased with the increase of Si content by slow strain rate test （SSRT） in ambient air. However, electrical conductivity is improved and SCC susceptibility is reduced with the increase of Si content by SSRT in corrosion environment with 3.5% NaCl solution.

Rapid Determination of silicon content in Rice

A method for rapid determination of silicon content in rice was introduced. The reliability of this method was verified by using a recombinant inbred line （RIL） population of rice cross Zhenshan 97B / Milyang 46. Two hundred and forty-nine RILs were transplanted in two replications. Simple correlation coefficients on the silicon content in the hull, flag leaf and stern in rice between duplicate samples of 498 rice materials were 0.97954, 0.97026 and 0.98848, respectively. Ten representative samples were selected for measurement using the high-temperature alkaline fusion method. Simple correlation coefficient between the silicon contents determined by the high-temperature alkaline fusion method and by the present method is 0.9993.

Influence of silicon on the microstructures, mechanical properties and stretch-flangeability of dual phase steels

Uniaxial tension tests and hole-expansion tests were carried out to determine the influence of silicon on the microstructures, mechanical properties, and stretch-flangeability of conventional dual-phase steels. Compared to 0.03wt% silicon, the addition of 1.08wt% silicon induced the formation of finer ferrite grains （6.8μm ） and a higher carbon content of martensite （Cm≈ 0.32wt%）. AS the silicon level increased, the initial strain-hardening rate （n value） and the uniform elongation increased, whereas the yield strength, yield ratio, and stretch-flangeability decreased. The microstructures were observed after hole-expansion tests. The results showed that low carbon content martensite （Cm ≈ 0.19wt%） can easily deform in coordination with ferrite. The relationship between the mechanical properties and stretch-flangeability indicated that the steel with large post-uniform elongation has good stretch-flangeability due to a closer plastic incom- patibility of the ferrite and martensite phases, which can effectively delay the production and decohesion of microvoids.

Effects of magnetic fields on Fe–Si composite electrodeposition

Coatings containing Fe-Si particles were electrodeposited on 3.0wt% Si steel sheets under magnetic fields. The effects of magnetic flux density （MFD）, electrode arrangement and current density on the surface morphology, the silicon content in the coatings and the cathode current efficiency were investigated. When a magnetic field was applied parallel to the current and when the MFD was less than 0.5 T, numerous needle-like structures appeared on the coating surface. With increasing MFD, the needle-like structures weakened and were transformed into dome-shaped structures. Meanwhile, compared to results obtained in the absence of a magnetic field, the silicon content in the coatings significantly increased as the MFD was increased for all of the samples obtained using a vertical electrode system. However, in the case of an aclinic electrode system, the silicon content decreased. Furthermore, the cathode current efficiency was considerably diminished when a magnetic field was applied. A possible mechanism for these phenomena was discussed.

Effect of silicon on ductility of T91 steel in liquid lead-bismuth eutectic environment

The tensile tests of T91 and T91Si steels at 200-450℃in air and at 350℃in oxygen-depleted liquid lead-bismuth eutectic(LBE)environment with strain rate of 1×10^(-5)-5×10^(-3)were *** show that the activation energy of T91 steel is 103.45-246.76 kJ/mol and that of T91Si steel is 146.98-172.11 kJ/mol when Portevin-Le Chatelie(PLC)phenomenon *** elongation reduction of T91 steel at 350℃is not specific to LBE environment,whereas the presence of LBE promotes crack initiation and propagation and affects the elongation of the material in the necking *** Si addition,the elongation,especially the uniform elongation at 350℃in LBE environment,improves,and the tendency toward crack propagation in T91 steel after slow tensile necking is *** PLC phenomenon can be seen in both T91 and T91Si steels at high temperatures owing to the dynamic strain aging(DSA).The temperature ranges are different when DSA occurs,with 300-350℃and 250-350℃for T91 and T91Si steels,respectively.
