In this paper,the reason why nano RDX have lower shock sensitivity than micro RDX was ***,we supposed two factors affected the shock sensitivity of *** is particle *** particle size means smaller hot spots created by shock wave ***,according to Merzhanov’s model,nano RDX showed higher critical temperature than micro RDX when the critical hot spots dimension is *** means nano RDX needs more heats to *** factor is activation energy of thermal *** nano RDX presented very lower activation energy than micro RDX,less energy（heats）were need to make nano RDX *** using Kinetic Compensation Effect,activation energy of thermal decomposition was calculated,nano RDX is of almost the same activation energy with micro *** critical temperature and similar activation energy implied low shock sensitivity for nano RDX.

＜正＞ shock sensitivity is not only an important index on evaluating the safety of emulsion explosives（EE） ,but also one of the important parameters on studying the shock initiation of EE. In this paper, PMMA card is demarcated firstly and the results are compared with the same from document. Gap test is innovated and the Langlie method is introduced initially to determent the sensitivity of explosives. The shock sensitivity of EE has been gotten in the case of the amount of test samples is not very large. It is found that the critical thickness of PMMA card is about 44.8mm and the critical shock initiation pressure is about 2.5GPa. Compared with some high energy explosives such as TNT, RDX etc., the shock initiation pressure of EE is not too low.

A melt-cast Duan-Zhang-Kim mesoscopic reaction rate model and experiment for shock initiation of melt-cast explosives

A melt-cast Duan-Zhang-Kim(DZK)mesoscopic reaction rate model is developed for the shock initiation of melt-cast explosives based on the pore collapse hot-spot ignition mechanism.A series of shock initiation experiments was performed for the Comp B melt-cast explosive to estimate effects of the loading pressure and the particle size of granular explosive component,and the mesoscopic model is validated against the experimental *** numerical simulations indicate that the initial density and formula proportion greatly affect the hot-spot ignition of melt-cast explosives.
