Species with relatively small,membraneous,black ascomata,with or without long necks,unitunicate,cylindrical asci with apical rings and fusiform,hyaline ascospores with or without mucilaginous sheaths are common in freshwater habitats in tropical and temperate *** of these taxa have originally been recorded as Annulatascaceae-like *** genera have been included in the family Annulatascaceae,mostly based on morphological characters,while molecular work and phylogenetic analyses are lacking for many *** this study,nine new Annulatascaceae-like taxa collected from Thailand were morphologically *** cultures obtained from single ascospores were used in molecular *** nine new strains and several other strains of Annulatascaceae-like Sordariomycetes species were used to establish phylogenetic and evolution relationships among the taxa,based on combined LSU,SSU,ITS and RPB2 sequence *** analyses provide evidence to introduce one new order and six new families,to accommodate taxa excluded from Annulatascaceae sensu stricto.A new order Atractosporales is established based on the molecular study,including three new introduced families Conlariaceae,Pseudoproboscisporaceae and *** is introduced for the genus Conlarium which comprises two species,Conlarium duplumascosporun and a new Hyphomycetous asexual morph taxon Conlarium aquaticum which has subglobose or irregular,brown,clathrate,muriform *** includes Pseudoproboscispora and Diluviicola,while Atractosporaceae includes the genera Rubellisphaeria and ***,Xylomelasma and Ceratostomella form a distinct stable lineage which is introduced as a new family Barbatosphaeriaceae in Diaporthomycetidae families incertae sedis.A new family Lentomitellaceae is introduced in Diaporthomycetidae families incertae sedis,to accommodate the genus *** is introduced to accommodate Woswasia,Xyloch

Palms represent the most morphological diverse monocotyledonous plants and support a vast array of fungi. Recent examinations of palmicolous fungi in Thailand led to the discovery of a group of morphologically similar and interesting taxa. A polyphasic approach based on morphology, multi-gene phylogenetic analyses and divergence time estimates supports the establishment of a novel pleosporalean family Striatiguttulaceae, which diversified approximately 39（20–63） MYA（crown age） and 60（35–91） MYA（stem age）. Striatiguttulaceae is characterized by stromata or ascomata with a short to long neck, trabeculate pseudoparaphyses and fusiform to ellipsoidal, 1–3-septate ascospores, with longitudinal striations and paler end cells, surrounded by a mucilaginous sheath. Multi-gene phylogenetic analysis showed that taxa of Striatiguttulaceae form a well-supported and distinct monophyletic clade in Pleosporales, and related to Ligninsphaeriaceae and ***, these families can be morphologically demarcated by the slit-like ascomata and extremely large ascospores in Ligninsphaeriaceae and the rather narrow fusiform ascospores in *** strains of Striatiguttulaceae formed two monophyletic sub-clades, which can be recognized as Longicorpus gen. nov. and Striatiguttula gen. nov. Morphologically, the genus Longicorpus can be differentiated from Striatiguttula by its elongated immersed ascomata and fusiform ascospores with relatively larger middle cells and paler end cells. Two new species Striatiguttula nypae and S. phoenicis, and one new combination, Longicorpus striataspora are introduced with morphological details, and phylogenetic relationships are discussed based on DNA sequence data.

Lignicolous freshwater fungi are those that grow on submerged woody debris in freshwater streams,ponds, lakes, tree hollows, peat swamps and dams. They play an important role in nutrient and carbon cycling,biological diversity and ecosystem functioning of freshwater ecosystems with their ability to decompose lignocellulose in woody litter, softening the wood and releasing nutrients. The lignicolous freshwater fungi are highly diverse in the classes Dothideomycetes and *** is a class of bitunicate fungi which historically been called the Loculoascomycetes and is currently considered to be the largest and most phylogenetically diverse group within Ascomycota. Species of freshwater Dothideomycetes were among the first ascomycetes to be reported from freshwater *** Dothideomycetes are thought to play an important role in decomposing the submerged woody debris in freshwater ecosystem. In this study, 125 samples were collected from freshwater habitats in China and Thailand. Sixty-nine specimens were identified to 37 species in Dothideomycetes based on evidence from DNA sequence data and morphology, four new genera and 25 new species were introduced. Freshwater Sordariomycetes play an important role in ecosystems and many of them have shown potential values in application. Based on evidence from DNA sequence data and morphology, we introduce a new order, two new families, three new genera, 45 new species, two new combinations and 14 new records. A comprehensive classification of the freshwater Sordariomycetes is outlined based on literature.
