Background The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the population’s mental health is vital for informing public health policy and decision-making.However,information on mental health-related healthcare service utilisation trends beyond the first year of the pandemic is limited.Aims We examined mental health-related healthcare service utilisation patterns and psychotropic drug dispensations in British Columbia,Canada,during the COVID-19 pandemic compared with the prepandemic period.Methods We conducted a retrospective population-based secondary analysis using administrative health data to capture outpatient physician visits,emergency department visits,hospital admissions and psychotropic drug dispensations.We examined time trends of mental health-related healthcare service utilisation and psychotropic drug dispensations between January to December 2019(prepandemic period)and January 2020 to December 2021(pandemic period).In addition,we calculated age-standardised rates and rate ratios to compare mental health-related healthcare service utilisation before and during the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic,stratified by year,sex,age and condition.Results By late 2020,except for emergency department visits,utilisation of healthcare services recovered to prepandemic levels.Between 2019 and 2021,the monthly average rate for overall mental health-related outpatient physician visits,emergency department visits and psychotropic drug dispensations increased significantly by 24%,5%and 8%,respectively.Notable and statistically significant increases were observed among 10–14 year-olds(44%in outpatient physician visits,30%in emergency department visits,55%in hospital admissions and 35%in psychotropic drug dispensations)and 15–19 year-olds(45%in outpatient physician visits,14%in emergency department visits,18%in hospital admissions and 34%in psychotropic drug dispensations).Additionally,these increases were more prominent among females than males,with some variation for specific mental health-related conditions.Conclusions

When the troops are attacked by nuclear weapons, the number of the wounded and thetype and the condition of the wounds will change with the equivalence and the way of explosion, thenumber of soldiers taking part, the area of the disposition of the troops, and the conditions of protectionof the personnel. Whether the wounded by nuclear weapons who is pouring in enormous amountcan be correctly classified in time has a very important relation in enhancing the effect of the first-aidand the treatment later on. We worked out a programme about the defined types and criteria of thewounded by nuclear weapons beforehand to be stored into the microcomputer. After nuclear cxplo-sion, it is necessary only to input the known data into the microcomputer from the key-board, thecomputer will immediately tell the number of the wounded of various types, the number of peopleand the time needed to perform the triage task and the surgical personnel needed to performthe operations, so that medical supporting programme can be selected or adjusted on time and the ef-ficiency and quality of the triage and first-aid work can be improved.

What is already known about this topic?In the context of rapid population ageing and over represented disabilities among the elderly,healthcare services for the elderly persons with disabilities are one of the most urgent and important population and public health issues.Previous studies indicated that the weighted prevalence rate of lifetime healthcare service use was 36.6%(95%CI:35.6–37.5)among persons with disabilities aged 60 years and above in 2006.What is added by this report?We found that the lifetime utilization rate of auxiliary aids among elderly with disabilities increased significantly from 4.96%in 1987 to 9.07%in 2006(ptrendservice in the last 12 months increased significantly from 18.6%in 2007 to 56.9%in 2014(ptrendservices.

The aging behavior of softening composite solid propellant was investigated by measuring its mechanical and ballistic prosperities during prolonged storage at elevated and room temperatures. Accelerated aging was conducted at 65 °C for 231 days while the normal aging was performed at 25 ± 3 °C and relative humidity less than 50% for 8 years. The mechanical properties were obtained from uniaxial tensile tests for the aged propellant specimens while the ballistic properties were determined from static firing tests of subscale motors aged for 112 days at 65 °C. The mechanical results show that the maximum tensile strength and Young's modulus initially increase and subsequently decrease with increasing aging time, while the maximum tensile strain generally increases with increasing aging time. The ballistic properties like burning rate show a small change which cannot affect the ballistic performance. The experimental results show that the changes in the mechanical properties are significant during the aging period, but the burning rate does not undergo significant changes. From this study, it is observed that the propellant ages through a combination of reactions like post-cure, oxidative cross-linking, chain scission, and hydrolysis. The chain scission and the hydrolysis effect are the most significant process, which makes the propellant soft and extendible. The observed aging mechanism has been modeled using an exponential function with two terms which can describe the complex behavior of the aging. By applying Arrhenius equation,the activation energy values were obtained based on the propellant mechanical properties. The shelf life of this propellant formulation at 25 °C is predicted to be 13 years using the modulus as failure criteria and control parameter.
