Background:Recently,there has been a surge in research worldwide on vitamin *** on international level,Vit.d has shown positive correlation with cardio-cerebrovascular *** possible role of vitamin d there is paucity of research in low-and middle-income nations that are nearer to the equatorial *** of abundant sunlight exposure,Asian people are developing hypovitaminosis d need a special consideration to avoid excessive and unnecessary usage of *** study aims to detect the situation of vitamin d in Nepalese population and secondly to find out the suitable normalized reference range for serum vitamin d in multi-ethnic Nepalese ***:A hospital based prospective study was conducted using purposive sampling technique to select 107 ***-vivo and in vitro bio-physiological method was used to collect serum vitamin d ***:The present study showed that 32%of participants had deficit(d insufficient(15 tod 20%of participants had sufficient serum level of vitamin-d(>30 ng/mL).Study showed that there is a lower degree of positive relationship of body mass index(r=0.162,P=0.094)and significant association of history of chronic illness(χ2=0.10,P=0.03),timing of occurrence of stroke(χ2=11.41,P=0.017)and diagnosis(χ2=21.19,P=0.011)with serum vitamin-d level at Pdirect significant association of serum vitamin d with socio-demographic variables when international unit is *** disorder showed positive association with serum vitamin d level.

Background: vitamin d plays a pivotal role in supporting the immune system, helping to reduce the risk of infections and certain autoimmune diseases. Adequate vitamin d levels may be associated with a reduced risk of certain health conditions like pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, and postpartum depression. Brittle bones, osteoporosis in the elderly, and osteomalacia in young children are all symptoms of vitamin d insufficiency. Additionally, it contributes to problems linked to gum disease, including an increase in dental cavities, alveolar bone loss around the teeth, and other problems. It could lead to depression, tiredness, and a loss of appetite. In this study, urban children and adolescents in dhaka city, Bangladesh are examined for vitamin d deficiency, insufficiency, and sufficiency. Methods: The Study was a cross-sectional study conducted under dhaka National Medical College and Hospital, dhaka and additionally included two other health centers Medinova Medical Services and Monoara General Hospital Service Golap bag, dhaka from October 2020 to November 2021. The study location was at the 3 (Three) different hospitals which was located in dhaka City. In this cross-sectional study, Participants will be selected purposively and conveniently based on the age categories from 0 - 19 years of age at the outdoor department of the hospital. The study included the secondary dataset of ambulatory individuals who came to the 3 (three) hospitals, randomly to evaluate serum vitamin d levels on referral from a general out-patient-department (OPd). They were examined for laboratory findings of serum 25 hydroxyvitamin d levels to determine vitamin d deficiency, insufficiency, and sufficiency among children and adolescent groups of both male and female Sex. Background:The role of vitamin d in ankylosing spondylitis(AS) is largely *** paper aims to examine the association between serum vitamin d levels and susceptibility and disease activity of ***:We searched the relevant literatures in Pub Med,Elsevier Science direct,Chinese Biomedical database(CBM),Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) and Wanfang(Chinese) database published before June *** independent case–control studies with a total of 533 AS patients and 478 matching controls were selected into this *** mean differences(SMds) with 95% confidence intervals(CIs)were used to assess the levels of serum vitamin d,parathyroid hormone(PTH),serum calcium and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) in cases and controls,*** coefficients(CORs) have been performed to value the correlationship between vitamin d and disease activity(erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and Creactive protein(CRP) and Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis disease Activity Index(BASdAI)) of AS ***:Meta-analysis results suggested that vitamin d may play a protective role in AS(for total vitamin d:SMd =-0.71,Pd:SMd =-0.66,P = 0.002;for 1,25OHd:SMd =-0.72,P = 0.19).differences in PTH and serum calcium levels were not significant in AS(SMd =-0.10,P = 0.67;SMd = 0.12,P =0.17 respectively),while ALP was associated with AS susceptibility(SMd = 0.20,P = 0.04).The relationship between serum vitamin d levels and disease activity was statistically significant except for 25 OHd versus(vs.) CRP or BASdAI(for CRP vs.25OHd:COR =-0.22,P = 0.08;for BASdAI vs.25OHd:COR =-0.20,P = 0.06,respectively).Conclusion:The higher levels of serum vitamin d were associated with a decreased risk of AS,and showed an inverse relationship with AS activity.
