The use of Amazon Web Services is growing rapidly as more users are adopting the technology.It has various functionalities that can be used by large corporates and individuals as well.Sentiment analysis is used to build an intelligent system that can study the opinions of the people and help to classify those related emotions.In this research work,Sentiment analysis is performed on the AWS Elastic Compute Cloud(EC2)through Twitter data.The data is managed to the EC2 by using elastic load balancing.The collected data is subjected to preprocessing approaches to clean the data,and then machine learning-based logistic regression is employed to categorize the sentiments into positive and negative sentiments.High accuracy of 94.17%is obtained through the proposed machine learning model which is higher than the other models that are developed using the existing algorithms.

Applied linguistics is an interdisciplinary domain which identifies,investigates,and offers solutions to language-related real-life problems.The new coronavirus disease,otherwise known as Coronavirus disease(COVID-19),has severely affected the everyday life of people all over the world.Specifically,since there is insufficient access to vaccines and no straight or reliable treatment for coronavirus infection,the country has initiated the appropriate preventive measures(like lockdown,physical separation,and masking)for combating this extremely transmittable disease.So,individuals spent more time on online social media platforms(i.e.,Twitter,Facebook,Instagram,LinkedIn,and Reddit)and expressed their thoughts and feelings about coronavirus infection.Twitter has become one of the popular social media platforms and allows anyone to post tweets.This study proposes a sine cosine optimization with bidirectional gated recurrent unit-based senti-ment analysis(SCOBGRU-SA)on COVID-19 tweets.The SCOBGRU-SA technique aimed to detect and classify the various sentiments in Twitter data during the COVID-19 pandemic.The SCOBGRU-SA technique follows data pre-processing and the Fast-Text word embedding process to accomplish this.Moreover,the BGRU model is utilized to recognise and classify sen-timents present in the tweets.Furthermore,the SCO algorithm is exploited for tuning the BGRU method’s hyperparameter,which helps attain improved classification performance.The experimental validation of the SCOBGRU-SA technique takes place using a benchmark dataset,and the results signify its promising performance compared to other DL models.

Sentiment analysis(SA)is one of the subfields in Natural Language Processing(NLP)which focuses on identification and extraction of opinions that exist in the text provided across reviews,social media,blogs,news,and so on.SA has the ability to handle the drastically-increasing unstructured text by transform-ing them into structured data with the help of NLP and open source tools.The current research work designs a novel Modified Red Deer Algorithm(MRDA)Extreme Learning Machine Sparse Autoencoder(ELMSAE)model for SA and classification.The proposed MRDA-ELMSAE technique initially performs pre-processing to transform the data into a compatible format.Moreover,TF-IDF vec-torizer is employed in the extraction of features while ELMSAE model is applied in the classification of sentiments.Furthermore,optimal parameter tuning is done for ELMSAE model using MRDA technique.A wide range of simulation analyses was carried out and results from comparative analysis establish the enhanced effi-ciency of MRDA-ELMSAE technique against other recent techniques.

Sentiment analysis is the process of determining the intention or emotion behind an article.The subjective information from the context is analyzed by the sentimental analysis of the people’s opinion.The data that is analyzed quantifies the reactions or sentiments and reveals the information’s contextual polarity.In social behavior,sentiment can be thought of as a latent variable.Measuring and comprehending this behavior could help us to better understand the social issues.Because sentiments are domain specific,sentimental analysis in a specific context is critical in any real-world scenario.Textual Sentiment analysis is done in sentence,document level and feature levels.This work introduces a new Information Gain based Feature Selection(IGbFS)algorithm for selecting highly correlated features eliminating irrelevant and redundant ones.Extensive textual Sentiment analysis on sentence,document and feature levels are performed by exploiting the proposed Information Gain based Feature Selection algorithm.The analysis is done based on the datasets from Cornell and Kaggle repositories.When compared to existing baseline classifiers,the suggested Information Gain based classifier resulted in an increased accuracy of 96%for document,97.4%for sentence and 98.5%for feature levels respectively.Also,the proposed method is tested with IMDB,Yelp 2013 and Yelp 2014 datasets.Experimental results for these high dimensional datasets give increased accuracy of 95%,96%and 98%for the proposed Information Gain based classifier for document,sentence and feature levels respectively compared to existing baseline classifiers.

Predicting election outcomes is a crucial undertaking,and various methods are employed for this purpose,such as traditional opinion polling,and social media analysis.However,traditional polling approaches often struggle to capture the intricate nuances of voter sentiment at local levels,resulting in a limited depth of analysis and understanding.In light of this challenge,this study focuses on predicting elections at the state/regional level along with the country level,intending to offer a comprehensive analysis and deeper insights into the electoral process.To achieve this,the study introduces the Location-Based Election Prediction Model(LEPM),which utilizes social media data,specifically Twitter,and integrates location-aware Sentiment analysis techniques at both the state/region and country levels.LEPM predicts the support and opposing strength of each political party/candidate.To determine the location of users/voters who have not disclosed their location information in tweets,the model utilizes a Voter Location Detection(VotLocaDetect)approach,which leverages recent tweets/posts.The Sentiment analysis techniques employed in this study include rule-based Sentiment analysis,Valence Aware Dictionary and sentiment Reasoner(VADER)as well as transformers-based Sentiment analysis such as Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT),BERTweet,and Election based BERT(ElecBERT).This study uses the 2020 United States(US)Presidential Election as a case study.By applying the LEPM model to the election,the study demonstrates its ability to accurately predict outcomes in forty-one states,achieving an 0.84 accuracy rate at the state level.Moreover,at the country level,the LEPM model outperforms traditional polling results.With a low Mean Absolute Error(MAE)of 0.87,the model exhibits more precise predictions and serves as a successful alternative to conventional polls and other methodologies.Leveraging the extensive social media data,the LEPM model provides nuanced insights into voter behavior,enabling policym

Purpose-Neural network(NN)-based deep learning(DL)approach is considered for Sentiment analysis(SA)by incorporating convolutional neural network(CNN),bi-directional long short-term memory(Bi-LSTM)and attention methods.Unlike the conventional supervised machine learning natural language processing algorithms,the authors have used unsupervised deep learning algorithms.Design/methodology/approach-The method presented for Sentiment analysis is designed using CNN,Bi-LSTM and the attention mechanism.Word2vec word embedding is used for natural language processing(NLP).The discussed approach is designed for sentence-level SA which consists of one embedding layer,two convolutional layers with max-pooling,oneLSTMlayer and two fully connected(FC)layers.Overall the system training time is 30 min.Findings-The method performance is analyzed using metrics like precision,recall,F1 score,and accuracy.CNN is helped to reduce the complexity and Bi-LSTM is helped to process the long sequence input text.Originality/value-The attention mechanism is adopted to decide the significance of every hidden state and give a weighted sum of all the features fed as input.

World Wide Web enables its users to connect among themselves through social networks,forums,review sites,and blogs and these interactions produce huge volumes of data in various forms such as emotions,sentiments,views,etc.Sentiment analysis(SA)is a text organization approach that is applied to categorize the sentiments under distinct classes such as positive,negative,and neutral.However,Sentiment analysis is challenging to perform due to inadequate volume of labeled data in the domain of Natural Language Processing(NLP).Social networks produce interconnected and huge data which brings complexity in terms of expanding SA to an extensive array of applications.So,there is a need exists to develop a proper technique for both identification and classification of sentiments in social media.To get rid of these problems,Deep Learning methods and Sentiment analysis are consolidated since the former is highly efficient owing to its automatic learning capability.The current study introduces a Seeker Optimization Algorithm with Deep Learning enabled SA and Classification(SOADL-SAC)for social media.The presented SOADL-SAC model involves the proper identification and classification of sentiments in social media.In order to attain this,SOADL-SAC model carries out data preprocessing to clean the input data.In addition,Glove technique is applied to generate the feature vectors.Moreover,Self-Head Multi-Attention based Gated Recurrent Unit(SHMA-GRU)model is exploited to recognize and classify the sentiments.Finally,Seeker Optimization Algorithm(SOA)is applied to fine-tune the hyperparameters involved in SHMA-GRU model which in turn enhances the classifier results.In order to validate the enhanced outcomes of the proposed SOADL-SAC model,various experiments were conducted on benchmark datasets.The experimental results inferred the better performance of SOADLSAC model over recent state-of-the-art approaches.

A Parallel Approach for Sentiment analysis on Social Networks Using Spark

The public is increasingly using social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to express their views on a variety of topics.As a result,social media has emerged as the most effective and largest open source for obtaining public opinion.Single node computational methods are inefﬁcient for Sentiment analysis on such large datasets.Supercomputers or parallel or distributed proces-sing are two options for dealing with such large amounts of data.Most parallel programming frameworks,such as MPI(Message Processing Interface),are dif-ﬁcult to use and scale in environments where supercomputers are expensive.Using the Apache Spark Parallel Model,this proposed work presents a scalable system for Sentiment analysis on Twitter.A Spark-based Naive Bayes training technique is suggested for this purpose;unlike prior research,this algorithm does not need any disk access.Millions of tweets have been classiﬁed using the trained model.Experiments with various-sized clusters reveal that the suggested strategy is extremely scalable and cost-effective for larger data sets.It is nearly 12 times quicker than the Map Reduce-based model and nearly 21 times faster than the Naive Bayes Classiﬁer in Apache Mahout.To evaluate the framework’s scalabil-ity,we gathered a large training corpus from Twitter.The accuracy of the classi-ﬁer trained with this new dataset was more than 80%.

Sentiment analysis(SA)is one of the Machine Learning(ML)techniques that has been investigated by several researchers in recent years,especially due to the evolution of novel data collection methods focused on social media.In literature,it has been reported that SA data is created for English language in excess of any other language.It is challenging to perform SA for Arabic Twitter data owing to informal nature and rich morphology of Arabic language.An earlier study conducted upon SA for Arabic Twitter focused mostly on automatic extraction of the features from the text.Neural word embedding has been employed in literature,since it is less labor-intensive than automatic feature engineering.By ignoring the context of sentiment,most of the word-embedding models follow syntactic data of words.The current study presents a new Dragonfly Optimization with Deep Learning Enabled Sentiment analysis for Arabic Tweets(DFODLSAAT)model.The aim of the presented DFODL-SAAT model is to distinguish the sentiments from opinions that are tweeted in Arabic language.At first,data cleaning and pre-processing steps are performed to convert the input tweets into a useful format.In addition,TF-IDF model is exploited as a feature extractor to generate the feature vectors.Besides,Attention-based Bidirectional Long Short Term Memory(ABLSTM)technique is applied for identification and classification of sentiments.At last,the hyperparameters of ABLSTM model are optimized using DFO algorithm.The performance of the proposed DFODL-SAAT model was validated using the benchmark dataset and the outcomes were investigated under different aspects.The experimental outcomes highlight the superiority of DFODL-SAAT model over recent approaches.
