Wireless sensor Network(WSN)technology is the real-time applica-tion that is growing rapidly as the result of smart *** power is one of the most signiﬁcant resources in *** enhancing a power factor,the clustering techniques are *** the forward of data in WSN,more power is *** the existing system,it works with Load Balanced Cluster-ing Method(LBCM)and provides the lifespan of the network with scalability and *** the existing system,it does not deal with end-to-end delay and deliv-ery of *** overcoming these issues in WSN,the proposed Genetic Algo-rithm based on Chicken Swarm Optimization(GA-CSO)with Load Balanced Clustering Method(LBCM)is *** Algorithm generates chromosomes in an arbitrary method then the chromosomes values are calculated using Fitness *** Swarm Optimization(CSO)helps to solve the complex opti-mization ***,it consists of chickens,hens,and *** divides the chicken into *** Balanced Clustering Method(LBCM)maintains the energy during communication among the sensor nodes and also it balances the load in the *** proposed GA-CSO with LBCM improves the life-span of the ***,it minimizes the energy consumption and also bal-ances the load over the *** proposed method outperforms by using the following metrics such as energy efﬁciency,ratio of packet delivery,throughput of the network,lifetime of the sensor ***,the evaluation result shows the energy efﬁciency that has achieved 83.56%and the delivery ratio of the packet has reached 99.12%.Also,it has attained linear standard deviation and reduced the end-to-end delay as 97.32 ms.

Recently,the application of Wireless sensor Networks(WSNs)has been increasing *** requires privacy preserving data aggregation protocols to secure the data from *** privacy of the sensor data is a challenging *** paper presents a non-linear regression-based data aggregation protocol for preserving privacy of the sensor *** proposed protocol uses non-linear regression functions to represent the sensor data collected from the sensor *** of sending the complete data to the cluster head,the sensor nodes only send the coefficients of the non-linear *** will reduce the communication overhead of the *** data aggregation is performed on the masked coefficients and the sink node is able to retrieve the approximated results over the aggregated *** analysis of experiment results shows that the proposed protocol is able to minimize communication overhead,enhance data aggregation accuracy,and preserve data privacy.

This paper studies the problem of dynamic coverage with wireless sensor and actor networks (WSANs) in underwater environment. Different from most existing works, the WSANs consist of two kinds of nodes, i.e., sensor nodes (SNs) which cannot move autonomously and actor nodes (ANs) which can move autonomously according to the performance requirement. The problem of how to coordinate two kinds of nodes to facilitate dynamic coverage in underwater environment is challenging due to their heterogeneous capabilities. To reduce redundancy of communication links and improve connectivity between ANs and SNs in underwater WSANs, a min-weighted rigid graph based topology optimization scheme is first developed, such that the underwater communication energy consumption can be saved. With the optimized topology, a dynamic coverage strategy is proposed to improve the coverage among SNs and ANs for underwater WSAN where underwater fluid motions are considered. Furthermore, it is proved that the network coverage area is connected by using the min-weighted rigid graph. Finally, simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the main results. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Cyber-physical-system (CPS) has been widely used in both civil and military applications. Wireless sensor network (WSN) as the part and parcel of CPS faces energy problem because sensors are battery powered, which results in limited lifetime of the network. To address this energy problem, we take advantage of energy harvesting device (EHD) and study how to indefinitely prolong oil pipeline monitoring network lifetime by reasonable selecting EHD. Firstly, we propose a general strategy worst case-energy balance strategy (WC-EBS), which defines worst case energy consumption (WCEC) as the maximum energy sensor node could expend for oil pipeline monitoring WSN. When the energy collected by EHD is equal or greater than WCEC, network can have an unlimited lifetime. However, energy harvesting rate is proportional to the price of EHD, WC-EBS will cause high network cost. To reduce network cost, we present two optimization strategies, optimization workloadenergy balance strategy (OW-EBS ) and optimization first nodeenergy balance strategy (OF-EBS). The main idea of OW-EBS is to cut down WCEC by reducing critical node transmission workload; OF-EBS confirms critical node by optimizing each sensor node transmission range, then we get the optimal energy harvesting rate in OF-EBS. The experimental results demonstrate that OF-EBS can indefinitely extend network lifetime with lower cost than WC-EBS and OW-EBS, and energy harvesting rate P in each strategy satisfies POF-EBS ≤POW-EBS ≤PWC-EBS. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

A wireless sensor network consists of hundreds or thousands of small nodes which could either have a static or dynamic position. These nodes are deployed through normal or random distribution to report events of a particular area to the base station through sink nodes. Having limited onboard energy of sensor nodes, conservation of energy in wireless sensor network is necessary. For this purpose, a new algorithm is proposed titled Energy-Efficient-Direction-Based-Topology-Control-Algorithm (EEDBTC). In proposed algorithm, direction is the main concern whenever an event occurs the node will send data in the direction of base station so that less energy is consumed. The results of the same were compared with customary dense wireless sensor network, color based WSNs and it was observed that this algorithm is much better than previous topology control algorithms used.

The main parameter to be considered in the wireless sensor network is the amount of energy that is available in each sensor node. The lifetime of the sensor node (SN) depends on it. As the SNs are deployed in remote locations, if the entire energy is consumed, it would be very difficult to replace or recharge the energy source immediately. Hence the energy consumed by each node is very important. If individual SNs send information directly to the base station (BS), then the availability of energy in such SN decreases very fast. This will lead to reduction in the life time of the SN. Instead, the SNs can send the data to the cluster head (CH), then the CH consolidates the received data. The CH sends it to the BS periodically. In this way, utilizing CH for sending the information to the BS increases the lifetime of the SN. The cluster head selection is very crucial in such networks. This paper proposes a novel fuzzy based BEENSIH protocol for CH selection.
