A promising method of planar array electrical capacitance tomography(ECT) for thermal protection materials non-invasive detection is presented. This method can detect targeted object only from a limited access. In this study, a planar ECT system with 12 electrodes has been developed for experiment and its simulation model also has been constructed by ANSYS. The sensitivity matrix is essential and fundamental in the process of image reconstruction. To optimize the sensitivity matrix, the influences of permittivity of sensitive filed and selection of section for reconstruction image have been discussed. The experimental results show that reconstruction images in different sections have great differences and the image quality of the second layer is highest. In addition, the change of permittivity has little influence on detection results.

Electrical Tomography imaging（ETI） is an advanced visualization technique, which can reconstruct all targets in an investigated field based on boundary measurements. The sensitivity matrix plays a critical role in ETI process, but cannot be effectively determined by the existing method. In the paper, a convolutional neural network（CNN） is used to train sensitivity matrix, where the boundary measurements in a frame of image are regarded as a two-dimensional input vector and selected error criterions of the image to real model as output. In view of main factors that affect effectiveness of sensitivity matrix, we establish a dataset to contain various images in the ETI processes. Experimental data from a 16-electrode industrial ETI system was used to compare the accuracy of the proposed model with the existing ETI methods. Results show that the used CNN can work out a more accurate sensitive matrix which leads to better ETI results and generalization ability.

Minimizing assembly variation in selective assembly for auto-body parts based on IGAOT

Purpose–Dimensional quality of sheet metal assemblies is an important factor for the final ***,the part tolerance is not easily controlled because of the spring back deformation during the stamping *** assembly is a means to decrease assembly tolerance of the assembly from low-precision ***,the purpose of this paper is to propose a fully efficient method of selective assembly optimization based on an improved genetic algorithm for optimization toolbox(IGAOT)in ***/methodology/approach–The method of influence coefficient is first applied to calculate the assembly variation of sheet metal components since the traditional rigid assembly variation model cannot be used due to welding ***,the IGAOT is proposed to generate optimal selective groups,which consists of advantages of genetic algorithm for optimization toolbox(GAOT)and simulated ***–The cases of two simple planes and the tail lamp bracket assembly are used to illustrate the flowchart of optimizing combinations of selective *** cases prove that the proposed IGAOT has better precision than that of GAOT with the same parameters for selective ***/value–The research objective of this paper is to evaluate the changes from rigid bodies to sheet metal parts which are very complex for selective *** method of IGAOT was proposed to the selected groups which has better precision than that of current optimization algorithms.

Development of an Intelligent Voltage Control System for Jeju Island Power System in Korea

As the voltage has local characteristics in a power system, system voltage control has depended on human experts in distribution substation local reactive power control station so far in Korea. Since coordinative automatic control has been possible due to the recent advances in computers and communication networks, the hierarchical voltage control system, consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary control, has been applied in several European countries. Recently the Korea power system has been operated more closely to stability limits because of rapid growth in load-demand as seen in Europe. For this reasons, Korea electric power corporation recognized the need of the voltage control system and developed the voltage control system. This paper presents an intelligent voltage control system for domestic power system using numerical algorithm based on the sensitivity matrix and the expert system. Dynamic characteristics of the developed system are investigated using EMTDC （electromagnetic transient DC analysis program） and RTDS （real time digital simulator）. Several case studies showed the promising performance.

A new method based on Dynamic Data Exchange （DDE） technology for computer-aided alignment is put forward in this paper. It is adopted to realize the automatic data transferring between Matlab and Zemax optical software. Based on the analysis of CAA and its procedure, a self-made program is developed to perform all the CAA steps under Matlab environment. Flow process of this program is shown in this paper. A Gregorian system is adopted as an example to verify the feasibility of the program. Comparisons of the image quality between the misaligned system and the post-aligned system are presented. Results show that this program is very effective.
