Emerging adulthood(EA)is a critical stage of life to develop and sustain a healthy lifestyle,which is also a time of vulnerability to poor physical and mental health *** this study,we conducted a path analysis(N=1326)to examine associations among four dimensions of EA,levels of regular physical activity(PA),self-control,MPA tendency and irrational *** found:1)higher levels of PA predicted both MPA tendency(β=−0.08,95%CI:−0.11 to−0.06,pself-control;2)Instability(β=0.13,95%CI:0.08 to 0.18,p<0.01)and Responsibility(β=−0.06,95%CI:−0.10 to−0.08,p=0.03)exerted direct effects on irrational procrastination and Instability also indirectly predicted irrational procrastination via MPA tendency(β=0.03,95%CI:0.02 to 0.05,p<0.01).These findings proved that perceived features of EA are linked to behavioral problems and supported that regular PA plays a crucial role to protect mental health.

Background and amis:In our study,it was aimed to investigate the adherence of liver transplant recipients to immunosuppressant therapy,their self-control,and their self-management in the post-transplantation ***:The sample of this descriptive and cross-sectional study was composed of liver transplant *** personal information form,Immunosuppressant Therapy Adherence Scale,and the Liver self-control and selfManagement Scale were used to collect data,and descriptive statistical methods,independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance analysis was used to analyze the collected ***:In light of the data collected in this study,it was identified that,of all recipients,73.6%were 45–64 years old,72.5%were male,25.2%were workers,and 44.6%had equivalent income and *** was observed that the recipients did not fully adhere to the immunosuppressant therapy regimen,and their self-control and selfmanagement levels were below the medium ***:The social support system of liver transplant recipients is very *** with a good social support system can receive caregiver support from their relatives,thereby supporting their self-control and *** liver transplant patients and the people providing care to them should be simultaneously provided with training programs and given information,and both groups should be supported in treatment and care processes.

The Relationship between College Students’ Online Game Addiction, Family Function and self-control

Objective: To study the status of online game addiction, self-control ability and family function, analyze the influence factors and the relationship between them. Methods: The questionnaire of online game addiction, family function and self-control ability was used to investigate some college students. Results: 1) The detection rate of college students’ online game addiction is 40%. There are significant differences in sex, grade and only child in online game addiction. 2) There are significant differences in self-control ability and family function between online game addicts and non-addicts. 3) Self-control ability and family function have a significant predictive effect on online game addiction. Conclusion: College students’ online game addiction is affected by their self-control ability and family function, and it can be alleviated by improving their self-control ability and family function.

Effects of Continuous Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Monitoring on Intraoperative Hemodynamics and Postoperative Myocardial Injury in Craniotomy:Comparison Between Groups Based on self-control and Propensity Score Matching

Objective:To explore the effect of continuous non-invasive blood pressure monitoring on intraoperative hemodynamics and postoperative myocardial injury in ***:120 cases of elective craniotomy were divided into the self-control group(continuous non-invasive blood pressure monitoring and intermittent cuff non-invasive blood pressure monitoring,CNAP group)and propensity score matching group(only intermittent cuff non-invasive blood pressure measurement in previous craniotomy,PSM group);Goal-directed hemodynamic management in CNAP group included heart rate(HR),blood pressure(BP),stroke volume(SV),stroke variability(SVV),and systemic vascular resistance index(SVRI).The main index is to compare the troponin level within 72 hours after operation between the CNAP group and the PSM group;The secondary indicators are the comparison of the hemodynamic conditions between the CNAP group and the PSM at 10 specific time ***:The incidence of postoperative myocardial injury in the CNAP group was significantly lower than that in the PSM group(12%vs.30%,P=0.01);in the CNAP group hypotensive episodes(6 vs.3,P=0.01),positive balance of fluid therapy(700 vs.500 mL,P<0.001),more use of vasoactive drugs(29 vs.18,P=0.04),more stable hemodynamics medical status(P=0.03)were ***:The hemodynamic management strategy based on continuous non-invasive blood pressure monitoring can reduce the incidence of myocardial injury after elective craniotomy and maintain a more stable hemodynamic state.

Depression Among Arab Students in Israel： The Contribution of Religiosity, Happiness, Social Support and self-control

This study examines the correlation ~mong a number of personal and environmental resources that can recluce u^pz-~on, These are： religiosity, happiness, social support, and self-control The participants in the study consisted of 219 Arab students from teacher training colleges in the Triangle region in central Israel. The findings indicate that all the resources that were examined contribute to reducing the level of depression; in other words, significant negative correlations were found between the level of religiosity, happiness, social support and self-control on the one hand, and the level of depression on the other hand. These findings are consistent with those of other studies conducted elsewhere in the world on different populations CChristian and lewish, as well as Muslim）. The present study and its findings are, however, the first to address the understanding of depression among the populace in question. The findings were discussed in accordance with a number of different theories.

The Effect of Exercise Duration on Mobile Phone Dependence among College Students: The Mediating Role of self-control

This research focused on the social concern of college students5 participation in physical exercise and mobile phone *** research model and hypotheses in this study were constructed based on the self-control theory and by reviewing previous *** research distributed questionnaires to 207 college students from a university in Guangzhou,China to obtain relevant *** analysis was employed to test the four hypotheses drawn from empirical and conceptual *** results of this research showed that first,the longer the exercise duration of college students,the higher the level of their self-control,thus exercise duration has a significant positive impact on ***,increasing the exercise duration of college students had no effect on their mobile phone ***,the higher the level of selfcontrol,the lower the dependence on mobile phones,thus signifying that self-control has significantly negative impact on mobile phone ***,self-control plays a mediating role in the effect of exercise duration on mobile phone *** conclusion,the longer the exercise duration of college students,the higher the level of self-control,in which it is able to significantly reduce the dependence on mobile phones.

Objective:To explore the intervention effect of the Structured Health Education course and 5A nursing model for self-control of elderly patients with coronary heart ***:Using the random sampling method,124 elderly CAD patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control *** control group line routine health education,experimental group take structured health education combined with 5A nursing before and after the intervention using a coronary heart disease assessment questionnaire,coronary heart disease self-control scale evaluation of two groups of intervention,compare two groups before and after intervention blood pressure,blood sugar,body mass index,lipid index level and complications within 8 months after ***:After the course intervention,the disease cognition and self-behavior of the experimental group were higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.1).Conclusion:This course is suitable for elderly patients with coronary heart *** 5A model improves the cognitive and management ability of elderly patients to a certain extent,which is worthy of clinical application.

Risk preference, the attitude towards risky choice over safer alternatives, has a great impact on multiple fields, such as health, finance, investment. Extensive behavioral researches have showed that inadequate self-control ability can give rise to high risk preference. However, little is known about the neural substrates underlying the effect of self-control on risk preference. To address this issue, we combined voxel-based morphometry(VBM) and resting-state functional connectivity(RSFC) analysis to explore the neural basis of the effect of self-control on risk preference across two independent samples. In sample 1(99 participants;47 males;20.37±1.63 years), the behavioral results indicated that self-control scores were significantly negatively correlated with acceptance rate of risky option. The VBM analysis demonstrated that the higher acceptance rate of risky option was correlated with smaller GMV in right orbitofrontal cortex(rOFC) and right posterior parietal cortex(rPPC). Furthermore, the functional connectivity of rOFC-rACC was positively associated with risk preference in another independent sample(sample 2, 80 participants;33 males;20.33±1.83 years). More importantly, the mediation analysis revealed that self-control mediated the impact of rOFC-rACC on risk preference. The results suggests the functional coupling between the rOFC and rACC might be the neural substrates responsible for the effect of self-control on risk preference. The present study extends our understanding on the relationship between self-control and risk preference, and provides a novel account from the neural perspective.

People move homes with the hope of a better life, despite the obvious concomitant costs of time and money. Might residential mobility exact hidden psychological costs as well? We posited that residential mobility worsen self-control as opposed to stably living in one home. Six studies supported this prediction. One archival study showed that regions where more people move showed signs of weaker self-control by way of consumption, spending, crime, obesity, and divorce. Two surveys(nationwide and students) found that people who report having moved frequently also report worse self-control compared to others. Three experiments established causality. Two laboratory experiments showed that getting people to think about moving led to more impatience. A field experiment instructed some people to think about moving to a new home, whereas others thought about staying in one home, found that the mobility condition consumed more calories and spent more money. Two experiments found mediational support that perceptions that the future is uncertain accounted for the effect of residential mobility on low self-control, and established moderation by tolerance for uncertainty.

According to decision theory, value evaluation and self-control processes are both critical while making behavioural choices. However, the evidence that links these two processes to behavioural choices in intertemporal decision making remains elusive. As the ventromedial prefrontal cortex（vmPFC）, striatum, and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex（dl PFC） have been related to these two processes, we focused on these three regions. We employed functional magnetic resonance imaging during a delayed discounting task using a relatively large sample size and three independent samples. In Experiment Ⅰ, we found that the vm PFC and dl PFC, but not the striatum, could determine choices using spatial activity patterns, and that the left dl PFC showed a significant functional connectivity with the vm PFC, but not the striatum, when making decisions. These results could be replicated in Experiment Ⅱ. In Experiment Ⅲ, the choice decoding accuracy in the vmPFC and dl PFC was lower in patients with addiction than in cognitively normal participants. Together, our findings may provide neural evidence to support the hypothesis that value evaluation and self-control processes both guide the choices made by normal people, and provide potential neural targets for the diagnosis and treatment of impulsivity-related brain disorders such as addiction.
