In the paper, Ablowitz–Ladik hierarchy with new self-consistent sources is investigated. First the source in the hierarchy is described as φnφn+1, where φnis related to the Ablowitz–Ladik spectral problem, instead of the corresponding adjoint spectral problem. Then by means of the inverse scattering transform, the multi-soliton solutions for the hierarchy are obtained. Two reductions to the discrete mKdV and nonlinear Schr¨odinger hierarchies with selfconsistent sources are considered by using the uniqueness of the Jost functions, as well as their N-soliton solutions.

We propose a novel self-consistent mean field approximation method by means of a Fierz transformation,taking the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model as an *** new self-consistent mean field approximation introduces a new free parameter a to be determined *** a assumes the value of 0.5,the approximation reduces to the mean field calculation commonly used in the ***,we study the influence of the undetermined parameter a on the phase diagram of the two-flavor strong interaction *** value of a plays a crucial role in the strong interaction phase diagram,as it not only changes the position of the phase transition point of strong interaction matter,but also affects the order of the phase *** example,when a is greater than the critical valueαc = 0.71,then the strong interaction matter phase diagram no longer has a critical end *** addition,in the case of zero temperature and finite density,we found that when a>1.044,the pseudo-critical chemical potential corresponds to ～4-5 times the saturation density of the nuclear matter,which agrees with the expected results from the picture of the hadrons degree of *** resulting equations of state of strong interaction matter at low temperatures and high densities will have an important impact on studies concerning the mass radius relationship of neutron stars and the merging process of binary neutron stars.

The self-consistent field theory (SCFT) based upon coarse-grained model is especially suitable for investigating thermodynamic equilibrium morphology and the phase diagram of inhomo-geneous polymer systems subjected to phase separation. The advantage of this model is that the details of the chain such as the architecture of the chain and the sequence of blocks can be consid-ered. We present here an overview of SCFT approach and its applications in polymeric systems. In particular, we wish to focus on our group’s achievements in applications of SCFT in such fields: simulation of microphase separation morphologies of multiblock copolymers with a complex molecular architecture, interactions between brush-coated sheets in a polymer matrix, mixtures of flexible poly-mers and small molecular liquid crystals at the interface, shapes of polymer-chain-anchored fluid vesicles, self-assembled morphologies of block copolymers in dilute solution, and so on. Finally, the further developments as well as the perspective applications of SCFT are discussed.

The paper analyzes the motion of electron in plasma antenna and the distribution of electromagnetic field power around the plasma antenna, and proposes a self-consistent model according to the structure of cylindrical monopole plasma antenna excited by surface wave;calculation of the model is based on Maxwell-Boltzmann equation and gas molecular dynamics theory. The calculation results show that this method can reflect the relationships between the external excitation power, gas pressure, discharge current and the characteristic of plasma. It is an accurate method to predicate and calculate the parameters of plasma antenna.

The symmetry orbital-symmetry orbital tensor method is applied to the evaluation of molecular integrals (one-electron and two-electron integrals) and the symmetry-orbital-tensor and self-consistent-field (SOT-SCF) calculations. A calculation scheme is proposed to simplify the evaluation of integrals and a key equation is derived to reduce the computation efforts in SCF iterations. According to the key equation, compared with the traditional SCF method, the computation efficiencies including CPU timing and external disk (or internal memory) requirement increase in the magnitude of the square of the order of a point group. The new SOT method is expected to be useful in the theoretical calculations of large molecular systems of high point group symmetries.

The equivalent potential of water molecules for electronic structure of lysine

In order to get more reliable electronic structures of proteins in aqueous solution, it is necessary to construct a potential of water molecules for protein’s electronic structure calculation. The lysine is a hydrophilic amino acid. It is positively charged (Lys+) in neutral water solution. The first-principles, all-electron, ab initio calcula-tions, based on the density functional theory, have been performed to construct such an equivalent potential of water molecules for lysine (Lys+). The process consists of three parts. First, the electronic structure of the cluster containing Lys+ and water molecules is calculated. By adjusting the positions of water molecules, the geometric structure of the cluster having minimum total energy is determined. Then, based on the structure, the electronic structure of Lys+ with the potential of water molecules is calculated using the self-consistent cluster-embedding (SCCE) method. Finally, the electronic structure of Lys+ with the potential of dipoles is calculated. The dipoles are adjusted so that the electronic structure of Lys+ with the potential of dipoles is close to that of water molecules. Thus the equivalent potential of water molecules for the electronic structure of lysine is obtained. The major effect of water molecules on lysine’s electronic structure is raising the occupied eigenvalues about 0.5032 eV, and broadening energy gap 89%. The effect of water molecules on the electronic structure of lysine can be simulated by dipoles potential.
