The pathogenic cascade of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)characterized by amyloid-β protein accumulation is still poorly understood,partially owing to the limitations of relevant models without in vivo neural tissue microenvironment to recapitulate cell-cell *** better mimic neural tissue microenvironment,three-dimensional(3D)core-shell AD model constructs containing human neural progenitor cells(NSCs)with 2% matrigel as core bioink and 2% alginate as shell bioink have been bioprinted by a co-axial bioprinter,with a suitable shell thickness for nutrient exchange and barrier-free cell interaction *** constructs exhibit cell self-clustering and-assembling properties and engineered reproducibility with long-term cell viability and self-renewal,and a higher differentiation level compared to 2D and 3D MIX *** different effects of 3D bioprinted,2D,and MIX microenvironments on the growth of NSCs are mainly related to biosynthesis of amino acids and glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism on day 2 and ribosome,biosynthesis of amino acids and proteasome on day ***,the model constructs demonstrated Aβ aggregation and higher expression of Aβ and tau isoform genes compared to 2D and MIX *** model constructs will provide a promising strategy to facilitate the development of a 3D in vitro AD model for neurodegeneration research.

Modular protein engineering is suited to recruit complex and multiple functionalities in single-chain polypeptides. Although still unexplored in a systematic way, it is anticipated that the positioning of functional domains would impact and refine these activities, including the ability to organize as supramolecular entities and to generate multifunctional protein materials. To explore this concept, we have repositioned functional segments in the modular protein T22-GFP-H6 and characterized the resulting alternative fusions. In T22-GFP-H6, the combination of T22 and H6 promotes selfassembling as regular nanoparticles and selective binding and internalization of this material in CXCR4-overexpressing tumor cells, making them appealing as vehicles for selective drug delivery. The results show that the pleiotropic activities are dramatically affected in module-swapped constructs, proving the need of a carboxy terminal positioning of H6 for protein self-assembling, and the accommodation of T22 at the amino terminus as a requisite for CXCR4^+ cell binding and internalization. Furthermore, the failure of self-assembling as regular oligomers reduces cellular penetrability of the fusions while keeping the specificity of the T22-CXCR4 *** these data instruct how multifunctional nanoscale protein carriers can be designed for smart, protein-driven drug delivery, not only for the treatment of CXCR4^+ human neoplasias, but also for the development of anti-HIV drugs and other pathologies in which CXCR4 is a relevant homing marker.

By covalently binding chromophore NPP, N-(4-nitrophenyl)-(L)-prolinol, to a structurally controlled cage-like cross-linking polymer (SCCP), a modified nonlinear optical (NLO) polymeric film prepared by 'in situ poling and sol-gel' process successfully overcame the fundamental problem of NPP chromophores subliming out from the cages of the 'doped'' NLO polymeric film when heated or placed under UV light. Its d(33) (coefficient of second harmonic generation) is 2.0 X 10(-8) esu. measured by IR dichroism. The modified film has a low decay of the SHG signal and preserves 94% of the initial value after 50 days at room temperature These properties match that of the 'doped' film, indicating that the modified film also retains the main advantages of the 'doped' film.

The inorganic antimicrobial material was inhibited to the microbes with the added metal ion,*** primary wet product carrying 5%-10% zinc ion was generated under the following conditions：temperature was 95 ℃,solution zinc concentration was 1.2-2.0 mol/L,and the ratio of Zn solution to zeolite weight was 5：*** final stable product was manufactured after baking in an oven for 1-3 h at the temperature of 500-900 ℃.The baked material was tested for its disinfection effectiveness and coloring effect when mixed with paint *** on the final batch of tests,the zinc content of this anti-microbial product was further optimized.

A novel self-assembling crosslinking second harmonic generation nonlinear optical (SHG/NLO) film with high SHG coefficient (2×10-7 e.s,*** IR dichroism) was prepared by morecular design and "in-situ poling and sol-gel process".The content of the NLO chromophore (S)-(-)-1-(4)-mtrophenyl-2-pyrrolidinemethanol (NPP) is as high as 50 mol% since NPP molecules probably disperse in the film at a molecular level The film is rigid,uni form and *** designed clathrate supermolecular structure was poved by IR,atomic force microseopv (AFM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) *** title film exhibits a long-term temporal stability with 95% of the initial value of SHG coefficient maintained even after 20 d at 65℃(by UV spectroscopy)

Four coumarin derivatives（4a-4d） with different alkoxy chains were synthesized. It was found that compound 4d showed a better gelation ability than the other compounds, for example, it could self-assemble into organogels in various organic fluids via ultrasound treatment or heating-cooling process, whereas compound 4c could only gel in a few mixed solvents and compounds 4a, 4b could not form organogel. The results from fluorescent and FT-IR spectra indicate that π-π interaction had an effect on the formation of the organogels of compound 4d besides H-bonding and van der Waals interaction, which were the driving forces for the self-assembling of compound 4c in gel state. The gel of compound 4d in toluene could emit strong fluorescence under UV irradiation and the [2＋2] cyclo-addition was suggested by ^1H NMR and fluorescence spectroscopy. This light-sensitive organogel might find application in optical materials.

Long(15-40 μm), thin(diameter of 20 ± 5 nm), and well-dispersed CuNWs Cu nanowires were prepared. The high-resolution TEM and selected area electron diffraction showed that the CuNWs were single-crystalline. To investigate the growth mechanism, we examined the microstructure of these CuNWs at different reaction time. It was found that the CuNWs were actually formed through the self-assembling of Cu nanoparticles along the [110] direction. The transparent electrodes fabricated using the CuNWs achieved a high transparency of 76 % at 31±5 Ω/□.
