The thermoelectric performance of free-standing poly(3,4-ethylenedioythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)thin films deposited from aqueous dispersion treated by different concentrations of urea are investigated in *** electrical conductivity,seebeck coefficient and power factor of PEDOT:PSS films versus temperature are determined,*** is found that both the electrical conductivity and seebeck coefficient of PEDOT:PSS films are enhanced after treatment with *** could be enhanced from 8.16 to 63.13S-cm^(-1),the seebeck coefficient is increased from 14.47 to 20.7μV.K^(-1)and the power factor is rises to 2.7μW.m^(-1)K^(-2)at 300K.

Room-temperature thermoelectric materials are important for converting heat into electrical *** a widebandgap semiconductor material,CuI has the characteristics of non-toxicity,low cost,and environmental *** this work,CuI powder was synthesized by a wet chemical method,then CuI film was formed by vacuum assisted filtration of the CuI powder on a porous nylon membrane,followed by hot *** film exhibits a large seebeck coefficient of 600μV·K^(-1)at room *** addition,the film also shows good flexibility(~95%retention of the electrical conductivity after being bent along a rod with a radius of 4 mm for 1000 times).A finger touch test on a single-leg TE module indicates that a voltage of 0.9 mV was immediately generated within 0.5 s from a temperature difference of 4 K between a finger and the environment,suggesting the potential application in wearable thermal sensors.

Spin currents, which are excited in indium tin oxide(ITO)/yttrium iron garnet(YIG) by the methods of spin pumping and spin seebeck effect, are investigated through the inverse spin Hall effect(ISHE). It is demonstrated that the ISHE voltage can be generated in ITO by spin pumping under both in-plane and out-of-plane magnetization ***, it is observed that the enhancement of spin Hall angle and interfacial spin mixing conductance can be achieved by an appropriate annealing process. However, the ISHE voltage is hardly seen in the presence of a longitudinal temperature gradient. The absence of the longitudinal spin seebeck effect can be ascribed to the almost equal thermal conductivity of ITO and YIG and specific interface structure, or to the large negative temperature dependent spin mixing conductance.

We develop a tractable theoretical model to investigate the thermoelectric （TE） transport properties of surface states in topological insulator thin films （TITFs） of Bi2Sea at room temperature. The hybridization between top and bottom surface states in the TITF plays a significant role. With the increasing hybridization-induced surface gap, the electrical conductivity and electron thermal conductivity decrease while the seebeck coefficient increases. This is due to the metal-semiconductor transition induced by the surface-state hybridization. Based on these TE transport coefficients, the TE figure-of-merit ZT is evaluated. It is shown that ZT can be greatly improved by the surface-state hybridization. Our theoretical results are pertinent to the exploration of the TE transport properties of surface states in TITFs and to the potential application of Bi2Sea-based TITFs as high-performance TE materials and devices.

Using first-principles density functional theory combined with nonequilibrium Green＇s function method, we inves-tigate the spin caloritronic transport properties of （2×1） reconstructed zigzag MoS2 nanoribbons. These systems can exhibit obvious spin seebeck effect. Furthermore, by tuning the external magnetic field, a thermal giant magnetoresistance up to 10^4% can be achieved. These spin caloritronic transport properties are understood in terms of spin-resolved transmission spectra, band structures, and the symmetry analyses of energy bands around the Fermi level.

Organic-inorganic nanojunctions can result in a selective scattering of charge carrier depending on their energy, which leads to a simultaneous increase in the seebeck coefficient S and the power factor. In this work, the nanojunction is successfully employed at the organic-inorganic semiconductor interface of polyparaphenylene （PPP） and Zn1-xAgxO nanoparticles through the sol-gel method. The presence of nanoinclusions PPP in *** 0 matrix is found to be effective in improving the figure of merit （ZT） by the dual effects of an increase in the power factor consistent with the heterojunetion effect and a reduction in thermal conductivity. ***.10/0.1 wt% PPP exhibits a maximum figure of merit, i.e., ZT= 0.22.
