This paper focuses on wireless-powered communication systems,which are increasingly relevant in the Internet of Things(IoT)due to their ability to extend the operational lifetime of devices with limited *** main contribution of the paper is a novel approach to minimize the secrecy outage probability(SOP)in these *** SOP is crucial for maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of data,especially in situations where the transmission of sensitive data is *** proposed method harnesses the power of an improved biogeography-based optimization(IBBO)to effectively train a recurrent neural network(RNN).The proposed IBBO introduces an innovative migration *** core advantage of IBBO lies in its adeptness at maintaining equilibrium between exploration and *** is accomplished by integrating tactics such as advancing towards a random habitat,adopting the crossover operator from genetic algorithms(GA),and utilizing the global best(Gbest)operator from particle swarm optimization(PSO)into the IBBO *** IBBO demonstrates its efficacy by enabling the RNN to optimize the system parameters,resulting in significant outage probability *** comprehensive simulations,we showcase the superiority of the IBBO-RNN over existing approaches,highlighting its capability to achieve remarkable gains in SOP *** paper compares nine methods for predicting outage probability in wireless-powered *** IBBO-RNN achieved the highest accuracy rate of 98.92%,showing a significant performance *** contrast,the standard RNN recorded lower accuracy rates of 91.27%.The IBBO-RNN maintains lower SOP values across the entire signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)spectrum tested,suggesting that the method is highly effective at optimizing system parameters for improved secrecy even at lower SNRs.

In this paper, we investigate secure communication in a two-hop wireless network, where multiple buffer-aided relays assist to securely forward data from the sender to the destination threatened by a passive eavesdropper. To satisfy the security and delay requirements, we propose a novel link selection policy without the instantaneous wiretap channel state information. Different from the most current link selection policies,the proposed link selection policy is designed by joint considering the link secrecy outage probability and the buffer states. To evaluate the secrecy performance, we first characterize the system state transition matrix and the stationary state probability, and then derive the closed-form expressions for the secrecy outage probability and the secrecy rate. Moreover, we formulate a framework based on the queuing theory to analyze the end-to-end information delay at the source, the relays, and the queues, and derive the closed-form expression for the information delay. Finally, we conduct simulations to validate our theoretical performance analysis, and verify the performance improvement of the proposed outage-driven secure transmission scheme in terms of secrecy outage probability and information delay.

Physical-layer secrecy outage of spectrum sharing CR systems over fading channels

In this paper, we investigate the physical-layer secrecy outage performance of underlay spectrum sharing systems over Rayleigh and log-normal fading channels in the presence of one eavesdropper. In particular, the secondary transmitter sends data to the legitimate receiver under the constraints of the interference temperature at the primary receiver, while suffering the wiretap from the eavesdropper. Closed-form and approximated expressions are derived for the secrecy outage probability over Rayleigh and log-normal fading channels,respectively. The accuracy of our performance analysis is verified by simulation results.

This work investigates the security issue of the energy-constrained untrusted relay network with imperfect channel reciprocity,where the relay without the built-in power supply can only scavenge energy from radio-frequency signals radiated by the source and destination.A hybrid power-splitting(PS)-and time-switching(TS)-based relaying(HPTR)protocol is presented to improve the degraded secrecy performance due to the incomplete self-interference cancellation at the *** evaluate the secrecy throughput(ST)of the studied system,the analytical expression of the secrecy outage probability under the delay-limited transmission mode and the closed-form lower bound of the ergodic secrecy capacity under delay-tolerant transmission mode are *** linear and nonlinear models for the energy harvester at the relay are *** optimal PS and TS ratios are evaluated *** theoretical derivations are validated by numerical results,revealing that the residual jamming has a negative effect on the secrecy performance of untrusted relay networks,which can be alleviated by the HPTR ***,we compare the ST performance of the HPTR protocol with that of the PS and TS relaying schemes,and the results show that the HPTR protocol outperforms both PS and TS relaying protocols in terms of the ST.

This paper investigates the secrecy outage performance of underlay cognitive radio networks, in which a source in a secondary system transmits its confidential information to a legitimate destination in the presence of an eavesdropper. Specifically, the main(the source-to-destination) and eavesdropping(the sourceto-eavesdropper) channels are assumed to be correlated. Moreover, it is also assumed that the main channel and the channel from the source to the primary user's receiver are correlated. Tight closed-form analytical expression for secrecy outage probability and the closed-form analytical expression for the probability of non-zero secrecy capacity are derived and validated by simulation results when the interference temperature limit is comparably large.

Performance Analysis of Physical Layer Security over α-η-κ-μ Fading Channels

In this paper, we consider the secure data transmission over α-η-κ-μ fading channels, which are recently proposed to encompass nearly all the well-known statistical models adopted in the literature. In particular, we address the secrecy performance in terms of the average secrecy capacity(ASC) and the secrecy outage probability(SOP), for which novel analytical expressions are derived. Simulation results verify the analysis and demonstrate the impact of the physical parameters on the secrecy performance of this new channel fading model.

Secure data transmission in future high-capacity high-coverage multi-tier hierarchical networks, for which cognitive radio （CR） has emerged as an essential recipe, is of utmost importance. This paper investigates the secrecy outage performance of selection combining （SC） in CR networks （CRNs） over Rayleigh fading channels. In a single-input multiple-output （SIMO） wiretap channel, a secondary user transmits confidential messages to another secondary user, which is equipped with n B （nB ≥1） antennas. Meanwhile, a passive eavesdropper, which is equipped with nE （n E ≥1） antennas, intends to overhear the messages. Both the legal receiver and the eavesdropper adopt SC scheme to process the received multiple signals. The secondary transmitter uses the underlay strategy to guarantee the quality of service of the primary user without spectrum sensing. Compared to the work proposed by Maged Elkashlan et al. in Ref. [ 1 ], we present an alternative method to derive the closed-form expression for the secrecy outage probability （SOP） and develop a simplified SOP when the maximal transmit power at the secondary user is sufficiently high. Our results reveal the impact of the primary network on the secondary network with a multi-antenna wiretap channel and simulations are conducted to validate the accuracy of our proposed analytical models.

This paper investigates the effects of the outdated channel state information(CSI)on the secrecy performance of an underlay spectrum sharing cognitive radio networks(CRNs),where the secondary user(SU)source node(Alice)aims to transmit the trusted messages to the full-duplex(FD)aided SU receiver(Bob)with the assistance of cooperative relay(Relay).Considering the impact of feedback delay,outdated CSI will aggravate the system *** tackle such challenge,the collaborative zero-forcing beamforming(ZFB)scheme of FD technique is further introduced to implement jamming so as to confuse the eavesdropping and improve the security performance of the *** such setup,the exact and asymptotic expressions of the secrecy outage probability(SOP)under the outdated CSI case are derived,*** results reveal that i)the outdated CSI of the SU transmission channel will decrease the diversity gain from min(NANR,NRNB)to NRwith NA,NRand NBbeing the number of antennas of Alice,Relay and Bob,respectively,ii)the introduction of FD technique can improve coding gain and enhance system performance.

secrecy outage analysis of multi-user multi-eavesdropper cellular networks in the face of cochannel interference

This paper studies the physical-layer security of a multi-user multi-eavesdropper cellular network, which is composed of multiple users communicating with a base station while the eavesdroppers may intercept the communications from users to the base station(BS). The cellular network is a time-slotted system with simultaneously transmission, in each time slot, a single user is scheduled to transmit messages to BS while the remaining users opportunistically receive information. Considering multiple users available in the cellular network, we present three multi-user scheduling schemes, namely the round-robin scheduling scheme as well as the suboptimal and optimal user scheduling schemes to improve the security of communication(from users to BS) against eavesdropping attacks. We only need to assume that the channel state information(CSI) of the main link spanning from users to BS is known in the suboptimal scheduling. On the contrary, the optimal scheduling is designed by assuming that the CSI of the main link and wiretap link(spanning from users to the eavesdropper) are available. We further carry out secrecy diversity analysis and show that the round-robin always achieves only one diversity order, whereas the suboptimal and optimal user scheduling schemes achieve the full diversity. In addition, numerical results illustrate that the optimal scheduling performs the best and the round-robin has the worst performance in terms of the secrecy outage probability. Last,as the number of users increases, the secrecy outage probabilities of the suboptimal and optimal scheduling schemes decrease significantly.
