The kesterite-structured semiconductor Cu_2 Zn Sn(S,se)_4(CZTSse) is prepared by spin coating a non-hydrazine precursor and annealing at se atmosphere. Local electrical and optoelectronic properties of the CZTSse thin-film are explored by Kelvin probe force microscopy and conductive atomic force microscopy. Before and after irradiation, no marked potential bending and very low current flow are observed at GBs, suggesting that GBs behave as a charge recombination site and an obstacle for charge transport. Furthermore, Cd S nano-islands are synthesized via successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction(SILAR) method on the surface of CZTSse. By comparing the work function and current flow change of CZTSse and Cd S in dark and under illumination, we demonstrate photo-induced electrons and holes are separated at the interface of p-n junction and transferred in Cd S and CZTSse, respectively.

Xitian tin-polymetallic deposit, located in the eastern Hunan Province, se China, hosts quartz vein and skarn in the contact zone between carbonate and two stages granites. Critical geodynamic questions for South China are whether different types of mineralization form in the same time and how the magmatism–tectonic system controls the ore-forming process. Based on the distribution of the orebodies, six cassiterite samples from different types of mineralization are collected for dating. In-situ LA-MCICP-MS U–Pb isotopic data yielded concordia low intercept ages between 154 and 157 Ma, indicating that different types of mineralization belong to the same magmatism–mineralization system. Coupled with the study of the kinematic indicators, it suggests that the structural control of the wall rocks constrain the types of mineralization. These results provide further evidence of a close temporal link between the structure and the tin-polymetallic mineralization in Xitian deposit. Considering the structure in the district, granite dome plays an important role in the ore-forming process. The age and structural signatures in Xitian deposit are the response to the subduction of Pacific Plate.

以铁基材料(纯铁和304L不锈钢)和Na_(2)seO_(4)/Na_(2)seO_(3)溶液为研究对象,依托低氧手套箱,在常温、低氧条件下,采用静态批式法开展了se(Ⅵ/Ⅳ)和铁基材料氧化还原作用研究,利用离子色谱法分析研究浸泡铁基材料的Na_(2)seO_(4)溶液和Na_(2)seO_(3)溶液浓度变化,运用扫描电子显微镜(seM)、X射线能谱分析(EDS)和拉曼光谱(Raman)等技术,对反应前后铁基材料样品的表观形貌、元素分布、物相组成进行较为系统的物理-化学表征。结果表明,seO_(4)^(2-)/seO_(3)^(2-)在纯铁体系中的反应速率明显快于其在304L不锈钢体系中的反应速率;铁基材料还原seO_(3)^(2-)的速率快于seO_(4)^(2-)的。

The recent discovery of hidden spin polarization emerging in layered materials of specific nonmagnetic crystal is a fascinating phenomenon, though hardly explored yet. Here, we have studied hidden spin textures in layered nonmagnetic 1 T-phase transition-metal dichalcogenides MX_2(M = Zr, Hf; X = S, se, Te) by using first-principles calculations. Spin-layer locking effect, namely, energy-degenerate opposite spins spatially separated in the top and bottom layer respectively, has been identified. In particular, the hidden spin polarization of b-band can be easily probed, which is strongly affected by the strength of spin–orbit coupling. The hidden spin polarization of ξ-band locating at high symmetry M point(conduction band minimum) has a strong anisotropy. In the bilayer, the hidden spin polarization is preserved at the upmost se layer, while being suppressed if the Zr se_2 layer is taken as the symmetry partner. Our results on hidden spin polarization in 1 T-phase dichalcogenides, verifiable by spin-resolved and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy(ARPES), enrich our understanding of spin physics and provide important clues to search for specific spin polarization in two dimensional materials for spintronic and quantum information applications.

Restorative Effects of Zinc and selenium on Cadmium-induced Kidney Oxidative Damage in Rats

Objective To investigate whether cadmium-induced oxidative stress in the kidney isinfluenced by zinc and selenium. Methods Five groups of rats were maintained: (A) Cd (CdCl2,400 mg·kg-1·day-1 intraperitoneal injection); (B) Cd+Zn (ZnCl2, 20mg. kg-1·day-1 hypodermicinjection); (C) Cd+se (Na2seO3, 350 mg·kg-1·day-1 via a stomach tube); (D) Cd+Zn+se; (E)treated with physiological saline as a sham-handled control. The rats were given treatmentfor a period of 4 weeks. The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GH-Px), catalase (CAT), and the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the kidney tissue weremeasured to assess the oxidative stress. Urinary lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity wasused as an indicator of tubular cell damage caused by lipid peroxidation. Results In groupC and D, activities of SOD (110.5±5.2, 126.8±7.0; P se in group A(84.7±3.3; 56.9±3.8); and in groupB, only the activity of GSH-Px (80.0±4.3, P sed in comparison with that ingroup A (56.9±3.8). Significant increase of MDA (P seen in group B (31.1±4.7) andC (35.0±4.1) when compared with control values (17.2±1.8). No difference was found inthe level of MDA between group D (18.9±2.6) and control. The activity of LDH in urineof control group (0.06±0.02) was lower than that of group A (0.46±0.19, Pselenium couldpartially alleviate the oxidative stress induced by cadmium in kidney, but administrationcadmium in combination with zinc and selenium efficiently protects kidney from cadmium-induced oxidative damage.

Antimony selenide （Sbzse3） is a promising absorber material for thin film photovoltaics because of its attractive material, optical and electrical properties. In recent years, the power conversion efficiency （PCE） of Sb2se3 thin film solar cells has gradually enhanced to 5.6%. In this article, we systematically studied the basic physical properties of Sb2se3 such as dielectric constant, anisotropic mobility, carrier lifetime, diffusion length, defect depth, defect density and optical band tail states. We believe such a comprehensive characterization of the basic physical properties of Sb2se3 lays a solid foundation for further optimization of solar device performance.

Structural, electronic, and optical properties of alloys BexMgl-xX （X = S, se, Te） in the assortment 0 〈 x 〈 1 were theoretically reported for the first time in zinc-blende （ZB） phase. The calculations were carried out by using full-potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbitals （FP-LAPW＋lo） formalism contained by the framework of density functional theory （DFT）. Wu--Cohen （WC） generalized gradient approximation （GGA）, based on optimization energy, has been applied to calculate these theoretical results. In addition, we used Becke and Johnson （mBJ-GGA） potential, modified form of GGA functional, to calculate electronic structural properties up to a high precision degree. The alloys were composed with the concentrations x = 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 in pursuance of ＇special quasi-random structures＇（SQS） approach of Zunger for the restoration of disorder around the observed site of alloys in the first few shells. The structural parameters have been predicted by minimizing the total energy in correspondence of unit cell volume. Our alloys established direct band gap at different concentrations that make their importance in optically active materials. Furthermore, density of states was discussed in terms of the contribution of Be and Mg s and chalcogen （S, se, and Te） s and p states and observed charge density helped us to investigate the bonding nature. By taking into consideration of immense importance in optoelectronics of these materials, the complex dielectric function was calculated for incident photon energy in the range 0--15 eV.

The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of Te10Ge10se80-xSbx (x=3, 6, 12 at. pct) chalcogenide alloys were measured in the temperature range (300 to 453 K) and the frequency range (100 Hz to 100 kHz). The real dielectric constant ∈′and imaginary dielectric constant ∈' show a decrease with increasing frequency and an increase with increasing temperature. All samples display dielectric dispersion. Both ∈′ and ∈' show a Debye relaxation type. The enthalpy activation energy ΔH and activation energy WH were calculated. Cole-Cole diagram consists of an arc of semicircle shifted from the origin and its center below the real axis at high frequency
