This study on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) was carried out in two secondary schools in the Bamako district, “Chaine Grise” and “Cheick Modibo Diarra” located respectively on the right bank and the left bank depending on the geographic position of the Niger river. This work took place over a period of 6 months from January 2019 to June 2019. The objective of this study was to study menstrual hygiene management in school?setting for girls aged 16 to 18 in two secondary schools in Bamako. It was a transversal and qualitative description. The study population consists of girls aged 16 to 18 years enrolled in one of the selected secondary schools.?At the end of this study, we arrived at the following results:?*50% of the girls in our study have poor knowledge about menstruation;?*10% of girls miss school at least one day a month during menstruation;?*90% of girls use hygienic cotton to absorb menstrual blood;?*90% of the sources of supply for hygienic products are?mothers.?The unsanitary conditions of the toilets, lack of light and the non-separation of the toilets according to gender guidelines were found in 99% of the cases: *99% of girls say that the poor state of health infrastructures was one of the causes of genital infections linked to poor management of menstrual hygiene;?*lack of water in the toilets (99%). Through these results, we conclude that,?in our context,?menstruation remains a taboo and shameful subject for girls. In addition, some of their menstrual hygiene practices are a real danger to their health.

Introduction: The dietary changes and the new lifestyles which occurred in low-income countries like Benin resulted in a nutritional transition with its burden of overweight and obesity among the child and adolescent population who is still suffering from undernutrition. This study aimed to identify the factors associated with overweight and obesity in the schools of Parakou in 2017. Patients and Methods: This research work is a cross-sectional descriptive and analytic study carried out from May to June 2017 in the state-owned and private high/secondary schools of Parakou. It focused on a representative sample of 730 high school students randomly selected according to the WHO two-stage cluster sampling technique. The weight and size of each of the students included in the study were measured;and then their body mass index (BMI) was calculated. The data related to respondents’ dietary pattern and lifestyle were collected. Those data were processed using the software Epi Info version 7.2.1. The prevalence ratio (PR) was used to measure associations with their confidence interval and the difference was considered significant when p schools in the District of Parakou.

This paper presents an assessment of how to minimise excessive energy consumption in a case study school classroom while maintaining optimal indoor air quality. Using mixed method research with qualitative interview data supporting quantitative key data measurements, essential primary data was extracted from temperature and carbon dioxide monitoring equipment in the classroom. This was then used, along with other ancillary data, to develop an IES computer model of the classroom as a “base case” reflecting existing energy consumption, temperatures and CO2 levels. Eight different interventions were then developed and modelled which reflected improved energy supply and a variety of ventilation strategies. The results show that adequate control and design of energy supply systems is critical to minimising excessive energy consumption, and that adequate internal air quality is achievable through a variety of low cost strategies.

Focusing on the global diffusion of the "A" list consisting of predominantly USbased joum a Is, we argue that such diffusi on represents an important form of professionalization in the management of business schools. The diffusion can also be viewed as an intellectual movement in the age of global competition characterized by a flat world. How can we explain the recent diffusion of the WAW list? More important, how does such diffusion impact the future of business and management scholarship? Addressing these important but underexplored questions, I identify the multilevel factors that explain the diffusion, and predict its likely trajectory and its impact on future scholarship.

Globally,tourism has been growing annually despite more threats of terrorist acts.In the same way,educational tourism and schools that teach Spanish as a foreign language,which belong to this type of tourism,have benefited to this global phenomenon,at least this trend is noticeable in the Spanish schools that are in Spain.However,there is no academic or governmental study to know if the same has happened with the Spanish schools located in Ecuador,a developing country situated in South America,whose particularity has a dollarized economy.Consequently,the present study aims to analyze the situation of Spanish schools in that country.Method:The study selected was the exploratory due to the lack of information on this topic.In addition,the approach adopted is the qualitative,to be able to have a better understanding of the phenomenon studied,using interviews with semi-structured questions to the eight institutions that make up the Ecuadorian Association of Teaching Spanish Centers.Results and conclusions:Spanish schools in Ecuador have not grown as other countries,because they have several difficulties.First,they have an unfair competition,especially by hostels which provide this service informally.Second,it is due to the higher costs compared to neighboring countries,because Ecuador adopted a strong currency for its economy.Third,idiomatic schools are in the middle of education and tourism,so they have complications in getting licenses and aids granted by the government.Despite these difficulties,they have innovated by offering more services,both educational and touristic,though,it is not a great profitable business.However,they have been able to maintain their business and earn a market share internationally.

Young adults generally have been identified as one of the groups of individuals who are particularly at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS and under-graduates constitute a very significant subset among these young adults. Therefore this research was designed to study the specific factors that put undergraduates in ten selected tertiary institutions in southwest Nigeria at risk of contracting HIVAIDS, as well as determine HIV prevalence in these campuses and the viral load of positive subjects. 1000 undergraduates were enrolled in the study, over a period of forty-two months. Baseline retroviral screening was carried out, using a rapid commercial test-kit, DETERMINE®. Confirmatory tests were carried out on positive samples using Enzyme Immuno Assay (EIA) technique. The viral load of the positive samples was determined using Real Time PCR, while the CD4+ count was assayed using Cyflow technique. Four out of the 1000 subjects were confirmed to be positive, thus representing an overall prevalence rate of 0.4%. The CD4 count of the positive subjects were 479/L, 368/L, 420/L and 1063/L. Molecular analysis of the positive subjects’ samples using RT-PCR revealed that the level of viral RNA in two of the subjects’ was too low for detection, while the other two positive subjects had 20 cp/ml and 325 cp/ml of viral RNA in their samples. Analyses of both the negative and positive subjects’ questionnaires were carried out, so as to determine the probable risk-factors that predisposed the positive subjects to infection. Hypotheses tested at p < 0.05 revealed that there was a significant difference in the rate at which the subjects were infected with HIV among the age-groups.

In today’s world some changes have been occurred in human lifestyle,these changes,along with the advantages,have led to a series of disadvantages including their disconnection with the nature.One of the most important areas to re-establish the relationship is the school.The presence of nature at schools,and holding some classes in nature,in addition to meeting the special needs of children causes their separation from those small and boring classes as well as their interest in courses.This study aimed to investigate the role of nature in children’s learning.For this purpose,third,fourth and fifth grade classes of 3 schools were held outside the school environment and in the nature in 5 courses.The study is a combinational research and field,indirect observation and library data collection methods were applied,where in the indirect observation,two types of questionnaires were prepared related to the students and teachers and were randomly distributed among 580 students and 50 elementary school teachers.Test reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha and it was obtained to be 0.890.The results of this study indicate that the physical place as one of the factors in children’s learning has the maximum impact on teaching and learning of children.At the end of the study and by investigating the existing factors in the environment we understood that the expansion of the nature and natural light of it causes the students’interest in lessons in nature.

Since the Curriculum Guidelines (CG) which were created in 2001 and PROMED (Program for the Encouragement of Curricular Changes in Medical Courses), several schools have applied for this incentive. Medical schools (MS) have faced important changes in their curriculum throughout the years. The purpose is to verify if medical schools that received PROMED already had a historical of curricular changes. Several interviews, which were carried out with PROMED coordinators, were recorded, transcribed and analyzed according to the Bardin’s content analysis technique. Later, these interviews were later categorized into nine themes. This paper analyses the Medical School History category which encompasses three subcategories: existence of a former changing history;need to overcome the model and changing period. It is highlighted that medical schools that received PROMED had a previous changing historical which was sometimes located in anti-hegemonic niches. It is noticeable, however, that such changes were not enough to affect the comprehension of healthillness process and its consequent results. PROMED was, effectively, the reference for medical schools implementing the C.G. which represents, now, a benchmarking for all new and old schools in the country.
