Influence of scenic recommendations on terminology used for histopathologic diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease-associated dysplasia

BACKGROUND Published in 2015,the International Consensus Recommendations on Surveillance for Colorectal Endoscopic Neoplasia Detection and Management in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients(scenic)recommended abandoning the use of diagnostic term“dysplasia-associated lesion or mass(DALM)”for polypoid dysplastic lesions detected in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).The aim of this study was to investigate whether this recommendation had any influence on diagnostic terminologies used by pathologists in their *** We retrospectively reviewed all pathology reports for surveillance colonoscopic biopsies from ulcerative colitis(UC)patients in our institution during 1/2012-12/2014(pre-scenic)and 1/2016-12/2018(post-scenic).These included 1203 biopsies from 901 UC patients during the pre-scenic period and 1273 biopsies from 977 UC patients during the post-scenic *** corresponding endoscopic findings and histopathologic diagnoses were *** indications for total colectomy for UC patients and corresponding histopathologic findings in colectomy specimens were also recorded and *** A total of 347 and 419 polyps/polypoid lesions were identified during the prescenic and post-scenic periods,among which 60 and 104 were dysplastic/adenomatous,*** polypoid dysplastic lesions were simply diagnosed as“adenoma”during the post-scenic period in comparison with the pre-scenic period(97.1%vs 65.0%;Pscenic period(5.8%vs 38.3%;Pscenic ***,the terms“sessile serrated adenoma/polyp”(SSA/P)and“serrated epithelial change”(SEC)were more consistently used for polypoid lesions and random biopsies,respectively,during the post-scenic period,althoug

Accessibility Comparison and Spatial Differentiation of Xi’an scenic Spots with Different Modes Based on Baidu Real-time Travel

A study of the accessibility of a city’s scenic spots via different travel modes can contribute to optimization of tourism-related transportation while improving tourists’ travel-related satisfaction levels and advancing tourism. We systematically analyzed the accessibility of 56 scenic spots in Xi’an City, China, via car and public transport travel modes using the real-time travel function of the Baidu Maps API(Application Programming Interface) along with spatial analysis methods and the modal accessibility gap index of scenic spots. We obtained the following results. First, maximum and minimum travel times using public transport exceeded those using cars. Moreover, the accessibility of scenic spots via cars and public transport presented a circular spatial pattern of increasing travel time from the center to the periphery. Contrasting with travel by public transport, car travel showed a clear time-space compression effect. Second, accessibility of the scenic spots via cars and public transport showed some spatial heterogeneity, with no clear advantages of car accessibility in the central urban area. However, advantages of car accessibility were increasingly evident moving from the center to the periphery. Third, whereas the correlation of the modal accessibility gap index of scenic spots in Xi’an with global space was significantly positive, local spatial interdependence was only evident in some inner city areas and in marginal areas. Moreover, spatial heterogeneity was evident in two regions but was insignificant in other areas, indicating that the spatial interdependence of the modal accessibility gap index in most scenic spots was not apparent in terms of the overall effect of public transport routes, road networks, and the distribution of scenic spots. The improvement of public transport coverage in marginal areas and the optimization of public transport routes in central urban areas are essential tasks for improving travel using public transport in the futur

Development of appropriate tourism infrastructure is important for protected areas that allow public access for tourism *** is meant to avoid or minimize unfavourable impacts on natural resources through guiding tourists for proper *** this paper,a GIS-based method,the least-cost path(LCP) modelling,is explored for planning tourist tracks in a World Heritage site in Northwest Yunnan(China),where tourism is increasing rapidly while appropriate infrastructure is almost *** modelling process contains three steps:1) selection of evaluation criteria(physical,biological and landscape scenic) that are relevant to track decision; 2) translation of evluation criteria into spatially explicit cost surfaces with GIS,and 3) use of Dijkstra's algorithm to determine the least-cost *** tracks that link main entrances and scenic spots of the study area are proposed after optimizing all evaluation *** tracks feature lowenvironmental impacts and high landscape qualities,which represent a reasonable solution to balance tourist use and nature conservation in the study *** addtion,the study proves that the LCP modelling can not only offer a structured framwork for track planning but also allow for different stakeholders to participate in the planning *** therefore enhances the effectivenss of tourism planning and managemnt in protected areas.

China National scenic Area and Its Planning Characteristics

Thirty years since the foundation of China's scenic area system, a comparatively comprehensive structural system, legal system, and management system have been established in this field, which has protected precious landscape resources and made remarkable achievements. The planning of scenic areas has its own attributes and technical characteristics, which attaches great importance to establishing a functional structure that combines the three systems of sightseeing, tourism services, and social management of local residents. Moreover, with the development of scenic areas, the planning will lay more emphasis on the connection between different levels, give full play to the comprehensive function of scenic areas, pay attention to the research on village and town planning within the area, and learn from the experience of national parks in foreign countries.

Economic Value and Historical scenic Beauty: The Case of Chinampas (Raised Beds) in Xochimilco, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mexico

This article estimates the historical scenic beauty’s economic value that tourists do have to preserve a pre-Hispanic farm production system dating from XIV to XVI century to be known as chinampas (raised beds) and is located in Mexico City. Therefore, in order to do this, surveys are performed and by contingent valuation (CV), the willingness-to-pay (WTP) is estimated. The best estimation points out that tourists are willing to pay 24.4 dollars around each year, and by means of such estimation, it is estimated that the cultural service’s economic value to preserve raised beds is between US$ 3000 and US$ 3700 per hectare. Such found value must be used as another input for decision makers when dealing with projects and/or policies facing contrary purposes. The analysis is innovative in the sense that there is almost no CV literature to estimate the economic value of historical scenic beauty.

Investigation and Analysis of Alien Plants in the scenic Spot Chengbi Lake

A comprehensive survey and analysis of alien invasive plants at the scenic spot Chengbi Lake was conducted by combining route investigation with interviews and quadrat *** were 21 families,33 genera and 42 species in the scenic spot Chengbi *** them,herbal plants accounted for 69%.The Compositae and Amaranthaceae families were the most frequent,represented by 18 species in total;and 36 species of these alien invasive plants originated from America,accounting for 85.7% of the ***-seven percent of the species were introduced as ornamental *** of them were severely harmful,including Wedelia trilobata,Eupatorium odoratum,Lantana camara,Mirabilis jalapa,Solanum erianthum,Ipomoea cairica and Alternanthera *** to increase defensive awareness,reinforce ecological protection,regulate species introduction and improve supervision mechanisms are discussed.
