Crystalline carbon nitride(CCN)has emerged as a highly promising semiconductor photocatalyst with unique properties,such as enhanced charge migration rate,reduced carrier recombination probability,narrow band gap and improved light-harvesting efficiency,which are suitable for a wide range of applications in solar-to-chemical conversion,energy storage,therapeutic and environmental pollution *** the past few years,there has been an increasing number of reviews on CCN ***,most of these reviews mainly focus on synthesis methods,modification and applications,with less emphasis on the relationship between structures and properties,as well as on indepth exploration of the crystalline *** electronic instability of CCN presents challenges for conventional characterization techniques to directly and thoroughly investigate the relationship between its intrinsic atom structure and photocatalytic *** mini-review not only highlights the progress in CCN-based photocatalysts,with a focus on molten-salt synthesis(including solid-salt-induced crystallization),but also emphasizes the atomic structure characterization by specifically introducing the differential phase contrast(DPC)scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM)technique,which is essential for enhancing our understanding of the crystal structure and photocatalytic mechanisms of ***,the review outlines the photocatalytic performance and puts forward potential challenges on CCN *** review will provide a clearer understanding of the relationship in developing precise customization strategies for CCN materials and ultimately explain the regularity and specificity of the enhanced performance in targeted photocatalytic systems.

Ten new erythromycin antibacterial agents containing amidino group were designed and synthesized from erythromycin via oximation, reduction and condensation. Their structures were confirmed by MS and 13C NMR; the synthetic condition(reaction medium)was explored; and their in vtiro antibacterial activities were tested. Compound HMA-3 showed antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus, which is equivalent to that of erythromycin A. Compounds HMA-8 and HMA-4 also showed an antibacterial activitiy. But no compound showed bactericidal activity.

Pyrazole carboxamide derivatives represent an important class of fungicides in agrochemicals. To find more novel structural pyrazole carboxamides, a novel series of 3-（trifluoromethyl）-lH-pyrazole-4-carboxamide compounds were prepared from ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoroace- toacetate and triethyl orthoformate as starting materials. All the products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance （NMR）, 13C NMR, 19F NMR and mass spectrography. The bioassay results showed these fluorine-containing pyrazole carboxamides have a weak fungicidal activity but some of them exhibit a good nematocidal activity against M. incognita.

A general and versatile strategy to prepare melamine-formaldehyde(MF)microcapsules encapsulating oil-based fragrances by combining solvent evaporation and in situ polymerization was proposed in this *** oil-based fragrance was pre-encapsulated by an inner polyacrylate membrane via solvent evaporation,followed by in situ polymerization of MF precondensates as an outer *** polyacrylate membrane is used as an intermediate bridging layer to stabilize the oil-based fragrance,and to provide driving forces for in situ polymerization of MF precondensates through electrostatic attractions between carboxyl groups and ammonium *** was demonstrated that MF microcapsules containing clove oil were prepared *** amount and the composition of the intermediate polyacrylate bridging layer were *** and sphere-shaped MF-clove oil microcapsules were prepared when the weight ratio of polyacrylate to clove oil was over 60 wt%and the concentration of acrylic acid(AA)increased to 10 wt%in *** addition,MF microcapsules containing sunflower oil and hexyl salicylate were prepared by using this *** work suggests that this new approach can be potentially used to encapsulate various core materials,tuning the shell properties of microcapsules such as thickness,mechanical strength and release properties.

Single crystalline ZnO nanorods were prepared by the hydrothermal method with synthesized ZnCl2·4Zn（OH）2 as the precursor. Morphologies of the nanorods were controlled by various reaction conditions with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide （CTAB） as the modifying agent. The nanorods were characterized by XRD, TEM, UV-Vis spectra, and IR spectra. The microstructure of holes in nanosize was observed on the surface of the nanorods. The UV-Vis spectra indicate that the as-prepared ZnO nanorods have absorption of visible-hght as well as ultraviolet-light. Therefore, these nanorods may be good candidates for visible-light photocatalysis materials from the viewpoint of practical applications. The reason for visible-light absorption was discussed in this article.

Carbon dots(CDs)have wide application potentials in optoelectronic devices,biology,medicine,chemical sensors,and quantum techniques due to their excellent fluorescent ***,synthesis of CDs with controllable spectrum is challenging because of the diversity of the CD components and *** this report,machine learning(ML)algorithms were applied to help the synthesis of CDs with predictable photoluminescence(PL)under the excitation wavelengths of 365 and 532 *** combination of precursors was used as the *** PL peaks of the strongest intensity(λ_(s))and the longest wavelength(λ_(l))were used as target *** six investigated ML models,the random forest(RF)model showed outstanding)performance in the prediction of the PL peaks.

PETERS Karl and von SCHNERING Hans Georg (Max Planck Institute für Festkrperforschung, D 70569 Stuttgart, Germany)Zn(C 4H 4O 4) prepared by dissolving 0.483 g (1.41 mol) of Zn 3(OH) 4CO 3·H 2O and 0.5 g (4.23 mol) of C 4H 6O 4 in 50 mL of H 2O followed by slow evaporation at room temperature crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C 2 with the cell parameters a =0.757 9(1) nm, b =0.597 6(1) nm , c =0.626 5(1) nm, β =108.45(1)°, V =0.269 17(7) nm 3, D x=2.239 \{g/cm 3\}, Z =2 and the final R(F o)=0.039 and wR(F o 2)=0.088 for 396 reflections [ F o 2≥2 σ(F o 2)]. In the crystal structure unit, each Zn is tetrahedrally coordinated by four O atoms from four (C 4H 4O 4) 2- anions, each of which, in turn, bridges four Zn atoms to build up a 3D \{\} 3 ∞[Zn(C 4H 4O 4) 4/4 ] network. The thermal analyses indicate that Zn(C 4H 4O 4) is stable below 420 ℃.

N-type Si-based type-Ⅰ clathrates with different Ga content were synthesized by combining the solid-state reaction method,melting method and spark plasma sintering （SPS） *** effects of Ga composition on high temperature thermoelectric transport properties were *** results show that at room temperature,the carrier concentration decreases, while the carrier mobility increases slightly with increasing Ga *** Seebeck coefficient increases with increasing Ga content. Among all the samples,Ba7.93Ga17.13Si28.72exhibits higher Seebeck coefficient than the others and reaches -135μV·K^-1 at 1000 *** sample prepared by this method exhibits very high electrical conductivity,and reaches 1.95x 10^5 S·m^-1 for Ba8.01Ga16.61Si28.93 at room *** thermal conductivity of all samples is almost temperature independent in the temperature range of 300-1000 K,indicating the behaviour of a typical *** maximum ZT value of 0.75 is obtained at 1000 K for the compound Ba7.93Ga17.13Si28.72.
