Highly transparent conductive stoichiometric nanocrystalline stannic oxide coatings were deposited onto Corning®EAGLE XG®slim glass *** each coating,it was deposited for various concentrations in the aerosol solution with the substrate temperature maintained at 623.15 K by an ultrasonic spray pyrolysis(USP)*** was em-ployed both as the solution carrier in addition to aerosol directing gas,maintaining its flow rates at 3500.0 and 500.0 mL/min,*** coatings were polycrystalline,with preferential growth along the stannic oxide(112)plane,irrespective of the molarity content in the spray *** coating prepared at 0.2 M,a concentration in the aerosol solution,showed an average transmission of 60%in the visible light region spectrum with a maximum conductivity of 24.86 S/*** coatings deposited exhibited in the general photoluminescence spectrum emission colors of green,greenish white,and bluish white calculated on the intensities of the excitonic and oxygen vacancy defect level emissions.

SnO2/SiO2 nanocomposites have been prepared by the soaking-thermal-decomposing method, tin oxide nanoparticles are uniformly dispersed in the mesopores of silica. The optical absorption edge of the obtained nanocomposite presents a redshift compared with bulk tin oxide. With the increasing annealing temperature during the procedure of the sample preparation, the optical absorption edge of the sample moves to shorter wavelength (blueshift). These optical properties can be ascribed to the amorphous structure and band defects of surface layers of the tin oxide nanoparticles.

Tin oxide （Sn02 ） thin films are deposited by rf-magnetron sputtering and annealed at various temperatures in the range of 100-500 ℃ for 15 min. Raman spectra of the annealed films depict the formation of a small amount of SnO phase in the tetragonal Sn02 matrix, which is verified by x-ray diffraction. The average particle size is found to be about 20-30 nm, as calculated from x-ray peak broadening and SEM images. Various optical parameters such as optical band gap energy, refractive index, optical conductivity, carrier mobility, carrier concentration etc. are determined from the optical transmittance and reflectance data recorded in the wavelength range 250-2500 nm. The results are analyzed and compared with the data in the literature.

Comprehensive first-principle calculations on strained SnO2 crystal structure indicate that the formation energy of different types of oxygen vacancies depends on the external strain. Many novel Raman modes can be observed, their intensities and positions are strongly dependent on applied stain, which can be ascribed to crystal symmetry destruction by oxygen vacancies. Applied strain can compress/stretch distances between Sn and O atoms; therefore, Sn-O band vibration frequencies can be adjusted accordingly. Our calculated results disclose that the Raman spectra of SnO2 crystal structure with different types of oxygen vacancies are obviously different, which can be used to identify the oxygen vacancy types in strained Sn02 crystal structures.

A SnO2-doped dicalcium phosphate coating was prepared on AZ31 alloy by means of hydrothermal *** results showed that the coating possessed a globular morphology with a long lamellar crystalline structure and a thickness of approximately 40 *** surface of the coating became smooth with an increase additive amount of the SnO2 *** corrosion current density and hydrogen evolution rate of the coating prepared in presence of SnO2 were reduced compared to the coating without SnO2 and the bare AZ31 substrate,indicating an improvement in the corrosion resistance of the SnO2-doped coating.
