How small and medium-sized(SMS)rural banks,as the main banks offering rural financial services,serve all-round rural revitalization is a vital realistic and policy issue for the time ***,SMS rural banks are confronted with many shortcomings in serving rural revitalization due to dull financial service supply chain circulation and lack of coordination with the rural industry supply *** research based on survey data and typical cases shows that the key to solving these problems is to realize a double chain linkage of the financial service supply chain and the rural industry supply chain:The financial service supply chain and the rural industry supply chain should make use of their common infrastructure,share the digital technology capacity and data handling capacity and promote the linkage of customers,channels and scenarios in all links of the two supply chains in a bid to realize mutual promotion and improve the quality and efficiency of the two chains and hence fuel the all-round rural revitalization through industrial *** chain linkage can be achieved through five major effective means:in terms of data,collaborating with digital rural governance and strengthening data collection and utilization;in terms of industry,collaborating with core entity enterprises and strengthening the supply chain financial service capacity;in terms of ecology,collaborating with internet technology companies and enhancing ecological,scenario and technological enabling;in terms of channels,collaborating with rural service and focusing on channel linkage,offline network,mobile services and village financial officers,etc.;and in terms of cooperation,constructing the common infrastructure of SMS rural banks and boosting the efficiency of digital enabling innovation.

The urban-rural transformation from dichotomy to integration is a gradual *** rural areas in many countries,Chinese rural society is experiencing a decline in all spheres due to depopulation,aging,lack of economic opportunity,and so *** at solving the serious rural issues,China proposed the implementation of a rural revitalization strategy and the promotion of an integrated urban-rural development for the first time in *** proposal marks the transformation of the urban-rural relationship,and the integrated urban-rural development reflects a significant conceptual *** on issues of rural decline are urgently needed to determine the most effective method for rural revitalization and development from the perspective of the urban-rural *** this context,this paper focuses on studying the theory,technology and management of rural revitalization and *** construct a theoretical framework for urban-rural integration based on population-land-industry-right between the urban and rural systems,regarding land engineering for land capacity building as the technical support and the rural land system reform and reconstruction as the policy support for *** research will provide theoretical support for the implementation of China's rural revitalization strategy.

The inequality of educational resources and its countermeasures for rural revitalization in southwest China

Equal access to education has long been a global concern and is important for rural revitalization strategy in the new era. However, little is known about the regional differences of educational resources in China, especially southwest China, where the spatial heterogeneity of human and physical geography is extremely significant. Using a dataset of primary and secondary schools of southwest China at county level in 2015, this study builds an index system to comprehensively measure the supply of educational resources, investigates the spatial pattern of educational resources via exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA), and explores its influence factors through spatial econometrics. Results indicated that the supply level of educational resources in southwest China was relatively low;the high-high clusters of the supply of educational resources were mainly located in Sichuan Basin and the east of Western Sichuan Plateau, while the concentrated poverty-stricken areas of Guizhou and the border areas of Yunnan-SichuanGuizhou, especially Wumeng mountain area, were characterized by the low-low clusters. Furthermore, this study suggested that altitude, population density, local government revenue and rural residents' income were positively correlated with the supply of educational resources, while the negative influenceswere exerted by proportion of ethnic minority population and urbanization rate. And there were differences in the specific objects of actions of each factor. Ultimately, we proposed that village relocation and combination, as well as sustainable urbanization and regional development were practical paths to optimize the supply of educational resources in rural areas, thus promoting the modernization of agriculture and countryside.

Rocky desertification poverty(RDP)refers to rural poverty triggered or exacerbated by rocky desertification,which deprives farmers of opportunities for improving their financial conditions through agricultural *** China implements strategies including building a moderately prosperous society,targeted poverty alleviation,and rural revitalization,issues concerning RDP have become the work foci for the Chinese government and research hotspots for Chinese academic *** paper provides a thorough review of the history,progress,challenges and prospects based on decades of RDP studies in Southwest ***,we review the origin,definitions and historical development trends of *** nearly four decades,research on RDP can be framed as four stages:start-up,poverty alleviation and ecological reconstruction,rocky desertification comprehensive control and green *** find that RDP research progress appears to be directly related to the Chinese government’s policy support and decision-making in mitigating ***,previous findings are reviewed and summarised regarding four research aspects:relationship exploration between rocky desertification and rural poverty,mechanisms of rocky desertification for exacerbating poverty,strategies for eliminating RDP and anti-poverty benefit evaluations of rocky desertification control ***,the remaining challenges are identified and summarised,including the challenges of conducting theoretical research on RDP and consolidating achievements in eliminating *** find that while many achievements have been made in the study of RDP in recent decades,the completeness and systematism of the theoretical system remain weak,and the guidance for empirical research is still ***,this research is fundamental in achieving rural revitalization in rocky desertification *** key to eliminating RDP lies in scientific rural transformation *** that the karst ecological environment in

Influence of social capital on the livelihood strategies of farmers under China's rural revitalization strategy in poor mountain areas: A case study of the Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture

Social capital in the form of social resources or social networks is one of the most important livelihood capital of farmers, which can increase the labor productivity of poor households and increase income. It is important to explore the reasons underlying the livelihood strategy choices of farmers from the perspective of social capital under China’s rural revitalization strategy. In this study, the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, a povertystricken mountainous area in southwestern China, was selected as the case study area, and multivariable linear regression models were constructed to analyze the influence of social capital on livelihood *** results are as follows:(1) Individual social capital had a positive effect on non-agricultural livelihood strategies. On average, with a one-unit increase in individual social capital, the ratio of farmers’ nonagricultural income to total productive income(Income_Rto) increased by 0.002% and 0.062%,respectively. Collective social capital, with the Peasant Economic Cooperation Organization(PECO) as the carrier, had a negative effect on the non-agricultural livelihood strategies of farmers;on average, with a oneunit increase in PECO, Income_Rto decreased by approximately 0.053%. However, this effect was only significant in the river valley area.(2) The income differences among the different livelihood strategy types were explained by the livelihood strategy choices of farmers. As non-agricultural work can bring more benefits, the labor force exhibited one-way migration from villages to cities, resulting in a lack of the subject of rural revitalization. It is necessary to implement effective measures to highlight the role of PECO in increasing agricultural income for farmers. Finally,based on the above conclusions,policy recommendations with respect to livelihood transformation of farmers and rural sustainable development are discussed.

A large-scale village classification model for tailored rural revitalization:A case study of Hubei province,China

A comprehensive understanding of village development patterns and the identification of different village types is crucial for formulating tailored planning for rural ***,a model for large-scale village classification to support tailored rural revitalization planning is still *** study aims to develop a large-scale village classification model using the Gaussian Mixture Models to support tailored rural revitalization ***,we propose a multi-dimensional index system to capture the diverse features of massive ***,the GMM clustering algorithm is applied to identify distinct village types based on their unique *** model was employed to classify the 25,409 villages in Hubei province in China into four *** in these classes exhibit discernible differences in spatial distribution,topography,location,economic development level,industrial structure,infrastructure,and resource *** addition,the GMM-based village classification model demonstrates a high level of agreement with evaluations made by planning experts,confirming its accuracy and *** the empirical study,our model achieves an overall accuracy of 95.29%,signifying substantial concordance between the classifications made by planning experts and the results generated by our *** on the identified features,tailored paths are proposed r each village class for rural revitalization efforts.

Exploring the synergy types and optimization paths between Poverty Alleviation Effectiveness and rural revitalization is necessary for achieving the two centenary *** poverty alleviation counties in Hunan Province,China as an example,our study proposed an indicator to measure the synergistic development between Poverty Alleviation Effectiveness and rural revitalization using the multi-index integrated evaluation ***,the coupling types were classified based on both the proposed indicator and regional ***,the corresponding optimization path for each coupling type was proposed to promote the synergistic development of Poverty Alleviation and rural *** are as follows:1)Lower synergy focused on the southwestern Hunan,while low synergy is widely distributed(such as the west,southwest,northwest,and midland).Moderate synergy is in the midland,such as Huaihua and Chenzhou *** synergy is distributed in Yongzhou,Huaihua,Xiangxi cities,***,only Hecheng City belongs to the higher synergy.2)This paper proposes corresponding development paths for different development characteristics and main problems from multiple perspectives of the protection system,industrial planning,and rural *** consolidate and enhance the effectiveness of Poverty Alleviation and rural revitalization to achieve coupled and synergistic development of the two *** research results can provide theoretical support for implementing Poverty Alleviation and rural revitalization in Hunan Province,China.
