Ag-sheathed (Bi,Pb)(2)SoCa(2)Cu(3)O(x) tapes were prepared by the powder-in-tube method. The influences of rolling parameters on superconducting characteristics of Bi(2223)/Ag tapes were analyzed qualitatively with a statistical method. The results demonstrate that roll diameter and reduction per pass significantly influence the properties of Bi(2223)/Ag superconducting tapes while roll speed does less and working friction the least. An optimized rolling process was therefore achieved according to the above results.

To gain a better understanding about texture evolution during rolling process of AZ31 alloy, polycrystalline plasticity model was implemented into the explicit FE package, ABAQUS/Explicit by writing a user subroutine VUMAT. For each individual grain in the polycrystalline aggregate, the rate dependent model was adopted to calculate the plastic shear strain increment in combination with the Voce hardening law to describe the hardening response, the lattice reorientation caused by slip and twinning were calculated separately due to their different mechanisms. The elasto-plastic self consistent （EPSC） model was employed to relate the response of individual grain to the response of the polycrystalline aggregate. rolling processes of AZ31 sheet and as-cast AZ31 alloy were simulated respectively. The predicted texture distributions are in aualitative a^reement with experimental results.

The corrosion performance of A class ship plate steel with different rolling process were evaluated by electrochemical measurements and corrosion simulation under constent temperature humidity. Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and X-ray Diffraction methodology(XRD ) were also employeed,and the effects of rolling process on corrosion behaviors of hot rolled plate surface were discussed.A good adhesivity between oxide scales and the substrate was received by the water cooling process,which could inhibite the breaken off of the oxide *** oxide scales were composed of FeO,FeO and FeO. The colour of the plate surface turned to black and the proportion of FeO increased with the finish temperature increasing and final cooling temperature decreasing,and the surface with little defect and a compact structure was received as *** results of electrochemical experiments showed the more positive free corrosion potential and lower corrosion current on the plate surface which were induced by the rolling process with higher finish temperature and lower final cooling *** constent temperature humidity experiment showed that this kind of oxide scales could provide a strong inhibition effect on the ion diffusion and the ship plate under this kind of rolling process had a good resistance against uniform corrosion and pitting corrosion than that under other rolling process.

The nearly stoichiometric Fe-Co alloy is well known as soft magnetic materials with high saturation magnetization and Curie temperature. However, the application is restricted by its brittleness and poor machinability. For this reason, we studied the rolling process of this alloy. Firstly, the effect of final thickness of hot rolling on the cold rolled samples showed that there was little difference for these cold rolled samples, and the thinner hot rolling samples were not so easy to crack during the cold rolling. Secondly, the soft magnetic properties were found to be better under the 1050℃ water quench when we studied the influence of different solution temperature on soft magnetic properties. Thirdly, with the increase of annealing time, grain size and soft magnetic properties of 1J22 alloy increased, whereas mechanical properties decreased.

Based on the temperature situation during the rolling process of 4200 mm/3500 mm medium and thick plates at Baosteel,this article analyzes the influencing factors of temperature changes during the rolling process from the perspective of heat transfer theory and the temperature change law during the rolling *** temperature loss during the four rolling processes is tracked on site,and the temperature drop model parameters during the rolling process of 4200mm/3500mm medium and thick plates at Baosteel are quantitatively *** is applied to actual rolling production and has achieved good results.

In order to reveal the differences caused by forging and rolling process for titanium ingots, hot compression behavior, mechanical properties and the microstructures of forged billets and rolled ones were investigated in detail using Gleeble-1500 thermal mechanical simulator, universal testing machine and optical microscope （OM）. The compression deformation experimental data of commercially pure titanium （CP-Ti） were mapped to be a T vs lg diagram in which data fall into three distinct regions, i.e., three-stage work hardening, two-stage work hardening and flow softening, which can be separated by border lines at 17.5 and 15.4 for lg Z, where Z represents the Zener-Hollomon parameter. The deformation twin is found to have higher Z-value corresponding to the work hardening region. The differences in microstructures and mechanical properties for two kinds of billets indicate that forged billet consists of deformation twins and some twin intersections, and many twins cross the grain boundaries. However, nearly no twins can be seen in the microstructure of billet formed by rolling under optical microscope （OM）, but there are equiaxed and platelike grains. Tensile tests and Vickers hardness test indicate that yield strength, tensile strength and microhardness of the samples after forging are higher than those after rolling.

The hot deformation behaviors of two medium carbon ultra-high strength steels with different niobium contents were investigated by using Zener-Hollmom parameter and processing map,and the effect of niobium addition on the hot deformation behavior of medium carbon steel was *** hot compression tests were conducted on a Gleeble-3500 thermo-mechanical simulator deformed at temperatures from 850 to 1 200 ℃ and strain rates from 0.001 to 1 s^-*** processing maps of two test steels were built at a true strain of 0.7 based on dynamic materials model（DMM）.There are two peak efficiency domains and two flow instability regions in both test ***,the peak efficiency domains of Nb-bearing steel move to higher temperature due to the inhibition of dynamic recrystaUization（DRX）,and the instability domains of Nb-bearing steel are enlarged due to the precipitation of Nb-containing particles during hot *** optimum process parameters of Nb-bearing and Nb-free steels for industrial production were determined according to the processing map and the microstructural observation.

This paper employs simple rolling process plus annealing to refine the grain size of magnesium alloy ZK60. This goal is effectively achieved, obtaining grains as fine as -3.7 um. Such a specimen shows an elongation of 642%, and its ultimate fracture surface exhibits intergranular separation and significant grain growth. Additionally, the effects of the specimen＇s geometry and tensile test axis with respect to the rolling direction on superplastic elongation is studied, which has not been done before.
