Let Y_i=M(X_i)+ei, where M(x)=E(Y|X=x) is an unknown realfunction on B(? R), {(X_1,Y_i)} is a stationary and m(n)-dependent sample from(X, Y), the residuals {e_i} are independent of {X_i} and have unknown common densityf(x). In [2] a nonparametric estimate f_n(x) for f(x) has been proposed on the basisof the residuals estimates. In this paper, we further obtain the asymptotic normalityand the law of the iterated logarithm of f_n(x) under some suitable conditions. Theseresults together with those in [2] bring the asymptotic theory for the residuals densityestimate in nonparametric regression under m(n)-dependent sample to completion.

Nanoparticles ( 100 nm) are becoming more prevalent in residential and industrial uses and may enter the environment through wastewater. Although lab studies have shown that nanoparticles can be toxic to various organisms, limited research has been done on the effects of nanoparticles in the environment. Environmental conditions such as pH and ionic strength are known to alter the biotoxicity of nanoparticles, but these effects are not well understood. The objectives of this research were to determine the impacts of silver nanoparticles (AgNP) on zebrafish in the pseudo-natural environment of a lab-scale constructed wetland, and to investigate wastewater remediation through soil and water treatment residual (WTR) adsorption of AgNPs. Concurrently, the effect of particle size on AgNP sorption was examined. Researchers exposed adult zebrafish in a lab-scale constructed wetland to concentrations of AgNP ranging from 0 - 50 mg AgNP/L and compared them to negative controls with no silver exposure and to positive controls with exposure to silver nitrate. The results suggest that aggregated AgNP do not impact zebrafish. Separately, sorption experiments were carried out examining three media - a wetland soil, a silt loam soil, and a WTR - in their capacity to remove AgNPs from water. The silt loam retained less AgNPs from solution than did the wetland soil or the WTR. In the WTR AgNPs were associated with sand size particles (2 mm - 0.05 mm), but in the wetland soil and silt loam, approximately half of the AgNPs were associated with the sand-sized particles, while the rest were associated with silt sized (~0.05 mm) or smaller particles. The larger sorption capacity of the wetland soil and WTR was attributed to their higher carbon content. The sorption data indicate that AgNPs adsorbed to soil and WTRs and support the idea that natural and constructed wetlands can remove AgNPs from wastewater.

For diagnosing failure and sick rectifying elements, a fault detection and prediction method of rectifier was presented in this paper. The output voltage of rectifier was contrasted with normal simulation signal in phase to obtain the difference signal. After it was processed according to the set threshold, the coding of the difference signal was achieved. The signal coding was adopted to diagnose failure elements or sick elements. In simulation test, the fault code tables of rectifier with different control angle were given. The simulation results show the validity of the fault detection method presented in this paper.

Anomaly detection for the control rod drive mechanism(CRDM) is key to enhancing the security of nuclear power plant equipment. In CRDM real-time condition-based maintenance, most existing methods cannot deal with long sequences and periodic abnormal events and have poor feature extraction from these data. In this paper,a learning-based anomaly detection method employing a long short-term memory-based autoencoder(LSTM-AE)network and an extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)algorithm is proposed for the CRDM. The nonlinear and sequential features of the CRDM coil currents can be automatically and efficiently extracted by the LSTM neural units and AE network. The normal behavior LSTM-AE model was established to reconstruct the errors when feeding abnormal coil current signals. The XGBoost algorithm was leveraged to monitor the residuals and identify outliers for the coil currents. The results demonstrate that the proposed anomaly detection method can effectively detect different timing sequence anomalies and provide a more accurate forecasting performance for CRDM coil current signals.

Process simulation and energy integration in the mineral carbonation of blast furnace slag

Large quantities of blast furnace(BF) slag and CO_2 are discharged annually from iron and steel industries, along with a large amount of waste *** mineral carbonation of BF slag can not only reduce emissions of solid waste but also realize the in-situ fixation of CO_2 with low energy consumption if integrated with the waste heat *** this study, based on our previous works, Aspen Plus was employed to simulate and optimize the carbonation process and integrate the process *** effects of gehlenite extraction, MgSO_4 carbonation,and aluminum ammonium sulfate crystallization were studied *** simulation results demonstrate that 2.57 kg of BF slag can sequester 1 kg of CO_2, requiring 5.34 MJ of energy(3.3 MJ heat and 2.04 MJ electricity), and this energy includes the capture of CO_2 from industrial flue *** 60 kg net CO_2 emission reduction could be achieved for the disposal of one ton of BF *** addition, the by-product,aluminum ammonium sulfate, is a high value-added *** economic analysis indicates that the profit for the whole process is 1127 CNY per ton of BF slag processed.

For achieving a higher compression ratio(CR)in compression sensing,the time-sparse bio-signals,such as electrocardiograph(ECG),are generally directly filtered via a dynamic or fixed threshold,however,inevitably leading to the loss of critical diagnostic *** propose a compression scheme to reduce the transmitting *** of the directly utilizing the original ECG data,the residuals between original and synthetic ECG signals are applied as the input *** employ the dynamic model to guarantee the consistency between the synthetic ECG signals waves(P,Q,R,S,and T)and the *** feasibility of the proposed method is tested through operating on the recorded ECG signals from a healthy *** the process of building simulation platform,the sparsity,percentage root mean difference(PRD)versus sampling frequency,and signals reconstruction algorithm are fully taken into *** compression,we set the threshold to filter the residual waves,in which utilizing the residuals as input data by setting the thresold as 0.01 mV and 0.08 mV resulted the amount reduction of the transmitting data by 18%and 81.2%,*** the simulation results show that CR can reach 2.75 when the PRD value is less than 9%.

The aim of this article is to predict the rainfall evolution of a sub-Saharan area in which one of the most important freshwater resources is located: Lake Guiers. Characterized by short seasonal rains of three months, it experienced a long period of drought in the 1970s. We begin by analyzing the temporal distribution of the rainfall including the variability of the data, with a view to predicting a possible return. For this reason, we present here univariate modeling results of rainfall series collected on three stations in the area. The challenge lies in the adequacy of the parameters for the monthly rainfall series, which generates more or less significant forecast errors on the learning bases because of the missing data. This later motivated their conversion to moving average series. On the other hand, the normality of the latter seems to be rejected by the D’Agostino test. Student’s and Mann-Whitney’s tests confirmed the homogeneity. The autocorlograms show the presence of autoregressive terms in the data. Dickey-Fuller and Mann-Kendall tests reveal both trend and seasonality. The stationarity tests of Dickey-Fuller, Phillips-Perron and KPSS have shown that they are non-stationary. As a result, we did an ARIMA modeling method using the Box-Jenkins [1] method with the R software, which involves estimating model parameters, tests of significance, analysis of residualss, selection according to information criteria and forecasts. The results obtained during the learning-test phase showed a quasi-similarity of the base-tests in all the series except for that of Louga.

In this paper,we consider the mixed finite element method(MFEM)of the elasticity problem in two and three dimensions(2D and 3D).We develop a new residual based stabilization method to overcome the inf-sup difficulty,and use Langrange elements to approximate the stress and *** new method is unconditionally stable,and its stability can be obtained directly from C´ea’s *** error estimates for the H1-norm of the displacement and H(div)-norm of the stress can be obtained at the same *** results show the excellent stability and accuracy of the new method.
